Announcing DAVEKAT WEEK 2025 running from September 21st to September 27th!
Davekat week is an annual event with the purpose of celebrating and creating content (be it drawings, music, fanfic, or crafts) around the pairing between Dave Strider and Karkat Vantas, each day of the week encouraging a unique theme for your art!
The very first DKW was put on in response to davekat's implied canonization in 2015's upd8s, and look how far we've come since then!
DAY 1
Sunday, September 21st: DECADE
What is davekat doing 10 years after the comic? (Or 10 years before? Being babies, probably.) Is your Post-Canon Beyond Canon compliant or divergent? You decide!
DAY 2
Monday, September 22nd: THROWBACK
If you've participated before, use this day to recreate an old submission! If you haven't, recreate any older davekat piece! If you've never made davekat fanwork before, welcome! Put them in a past era of your choice.
DAY 3
Tuesday, September 23rd: DOMESTIC
Let's see that ooey-gooey lurvy-durvy homey-stucky dynamic! Could be a humanstuck slice-of life AU or playing house on the meteor, make a house a home wherever they are!
DAY 4
Wednesday, September 24th: FREE DAY
Do whatever the hell you want forever!
DAY 5
Thursday, September 25th: WILD
No settling here- take them to crazy loud parties, create action-packed scenes, or LITERALLY make them wild animals. Make their fursonas. I dare you.
DAY 6
Friday, September 26th: PARTING
Sadstuck is such sweet sorrow. Could they ever say goodbye? Is it permanent, temporary? Petty or devastating? Emotional or physical barrier? Explore why davekat might split- whether it's their choice or not. Life ain't all cookies and cream, kids.
DAY 7
Saturday, September 27th: REUNION
Aaand we're bringing it back! Continue off the penultimate prompt, fix a bittersweet timeline from the comic or your favorite unfinished fic, or start completely fresh! It doesn't have to be restricted to Dave and Kat either, get the whole band back together!
Themes are encouraged, but optional. You're more than welcome to post whatever you like, whichever day you like, and even after the initial event. We want to see your creations!
