Team men!! (I actually didn't remember what was going on in this scene, but out of context it looks like Lightning and Jo are so pissed at Brick for no reason)
I'm trying to understand how the lighting works
Screenshot redraw! (I love this scene)
Guys, I've just heard Mal's voice in english, and it's so unserious. Like, why is it so deep? I'm not saying that in italian he sounds serious, but hearing his english voice for the first time actually made me laugh. The whole situation was just dumber than it already is to me
May I request... Scottitoba... (Scott x Manitoba)
I love this ship! That scene with them on the beach is one of the few good things from All stars
Y'know, I really hated Ripper the first time I watched the reboot, but now I kinda like him. What I love about him is that he was most likely supposed to represent the "80s bully in the present" trope, but for some reason the writers didn't emphasise this trait that much
Genius in france
Something I really miss from tdi is when every character would be overly dramatic about the most unserious situations. Like when Owen had to jump from the cliff in the first episode or when Geoff got "injured" in Up the creek. After Island, there were never any moments like that again
Even if gen 4 has two canonically gay characters, gen 2 still managed to be the gayest total drama gen of characters

Guys, I want to talk about Total Drama, so is there something about the show you think is not discussed enough? Or do you have any particular opinion that nobody seems to agree with?
Drawing ship art is hard guys
Stuff I would like to see in a future Total drama season:
A new format/setting (I'm tired of Wawanakwa)
The return of the aftermath (or something similar to it)
Blaineley
Contestants returning/joining the game mid-season (it added drama and made the season more dynamic)
Chef doing military stuff again (I loved that challenge in Tdi)
Censored swearing (it was so funny c'mon)
Different outfits/hairstyles for old characters that come back
And what would you like to see in a future season?
A long time ago I was watching an Italian creator talking about Td on live stream with another person. This other person said that All stars can be resumed by the opening: it starts like every other opening, with some crossover elements...
...and then there's a brutal cut that leads to this scene where everyone randomly fights (this challenge isn't even present in this season)
I think that person was absolutely right
Reasons why Total drama All stars doesn't work at all (feel free to disagree):
It arrived too early: the new cast wasn't perceived very well (probably because Fresh Tv/CN didn't have faith in it in the first place), but it needed more development. So they forced the older characters to come back in order to maintain the show's popularity. All stars is basically roti 2 disguised as a crossover season, but the roti characters don't even get the chance to properly develop
The "All star" thing forces to include in the cast too many gen 1 characters that have already concluded their arcs and have no reason to be there again. To solve the problem the writers just exhume old plot lines or regress the characters, and this leads to a repetitive and boring season (the love triangle didn't need to continue, Lindsay didn't have to be that dumb, etc). At the same time, the roti cast had too little time to become iconic in its dedicated season, almost no character can be considered an actual all-star. So you have this unbalanced situation where it's difficult to choose which gen 1 should be included since there are too many popular characters, and on the other side, gen 2 doesn't have enough iconic character to include (to the general audience Ezekiel is 100% more memorable than Cameron, the roti winner)
The villains vs. heroes thing flattens the characters. It would've been cool seeing the contrast between this rigid subdivision imposed by the show and the actual complexity of the characters (they tried to do that with Gwen and Duncan when they didn't fell represented by the label the show gave them). But besides some bad executed exceptions, the characters actually behave as cartoon villains/heroes. The Villainous vultures don't get along and constantly try to trick others, not in a parodistic way (like in tdi when the characters would argue over the dumbest stuff, because reality shows are like this), but like they were a bunch of shitty mono dimensional villains from a cartoon for preschoolers. The Heroic hamsters are painfully good, they have no negative traits and are all friends like in a... cartoon for preschoolers (this whole good vs. bad made the season a cartoon for preschoolers)
This is something that really drives me crazy and I don't know if it's actually addressed that often. This show, before being a cartoon, is a REALITY SHOW. It's a parody, but it works like an actual reality, that's the point. This is the reason why everything you see in this show is something that CAN BE FILMED by an actual camera. So, that being said, why the hell can we see what happens in Mike's freaking mind?? It's not the first time we see imaginary stuff in this show (Owen's dreams are an example), but usually they were just non relevant short gags, not the whole focus of the season! But in general this season is not treated like a reality AT ALL, instead it's just that the good guys have to prevent the forces of evil from conquering the world (you don't see that happening in the Big brother, y'know?)
In general, these are the main reasons why I think this is the worst season we could ever get. Can you think of other reasons why All stars is bad?
I don't have a lot of motivation for drawing, but I want to be active so I think I'll post unnecessarily long analysis about Total drama (I missed doing those)
