literally his devolving and spiraling is a great thing to watch, because i can sympathize, and to an extent deeply understand him, and the character study of someone going through what he’s going/gone through especially though the lens of a late middle age white man. it’s portrayed very well.

that doesn’t fucking mean i will ever make excuses for or justify the shit he’s done. he’s a good doctor, he’s not a good boss. he’s doing what he thinks is best, that doesn’t mean what he’s doing is okay. he’s hurting too, he’s suffering, his mental health is taking it’s toll on him, okay and?????

girl so is Dana’s, and Abbots, and Al hashimis too even though she just got there. they’re not the ones abusing their power, and inappropriately intertwining their inflated ego and savior complex with the job they do, or taking their shit out on their coworkers and employees………….

thats whats great about this show, i don’t have to like every character, but i see them for who they are, and they are all complex people. human beings with hopes and fears, and wants and needs, and experiences that shape their every waking decision. the actors all do an amazing job at giving us that extra second of eye contact, or deep expression, to put the heart of who they are on display.

anyway can’t wait for him to get run over by a snow plow in season 3, so Dr. Al- Hashimi (my angel baby love of my life) can take over for him, and make the hospital a better place, and support not just the doctors, but all the staff that work at ptmc
