For me, design is like choosing what I’m going to wear for the day - only much more complicated and not really the same at all.

The Creation of LemonArt Designs
The Short Long Story
When I was in elementary school, I believe it was third grade, I discovered a little thing called a computer. This was back in 1996, when they had old dinosaur computers in the classroom from the early 90's. One day I decided that instead of playing the Oregon Trail, I would play with "paint". This was when I discovered that you could make art digitally. This was a revelation! And thus began my life-time infatuation with digital media.
In June of 2013, I started LemonArt Designs. This project was the product of many years of one-on-one digital work for local small businesses. I felt at home when designing business cards, sketching out logos, and fumbling through Adobe Photoshop. I knew I would never be happy in a career if I wasn't designing.
With this project, I feel a strong sense of satisfaction. I have kick started my portfolio with unique designs set as templates for weddings, birthdays, and baby showers. My ultimate goal is to make each design customizable through text, colors, and design. One month in, the portfolio has grown into something to be proud of as a first time designer.
I started this blog in hopes of documenting the process of starting up an online design project, while broadening our audience. I can't wait to see where this adventure takes us. Happy blogging!
