No but imagine being Agatha at the end of episode five— just completely violated by your abusive, murderous mother possessing your body, hanging on by the barest thread as she proceeds to embarrass and berate you in front of the only people in centuries who have agreed to actually treat you like a human being, even if they don’t trust you.
Stuck in a trial with the woman who broke your heart to pieces, broke your soul to pieces, who is dead set on killing you and is also still impossibly in love with you, watching as the one person who constantly, constantly ruined your life tries to turn this coven against you, too.
Helpless as one of these new witches, the only one who didn’t seem to have any preconceived notions about what a terrible person you are, tries to actually save you from the mother who ruined your life on an endless loop, and then helpless again as you unwittingly and unwillingly take her power, sucking every piece of life out of her and forced to look her in the eyes as you do it.
And then the only thing that actually stops you is your ex’s arch-nemesis’s son screaming a name he couldn’t possibly know, and when it all stops you realize that it’s too late. And then having to look these women in the eye, barely, as they stare at you in horror because they didn’t know — witch killer, murderer — they don’t realize that you can’t really control it.
Climbing out of that trial and fleeing, like you’re nothing, like you’re something shameful and evil and wrong. Standing on the witches’ road all alone, a broken coven behind you, and still feeling Alice’s power sparking through your veins, dancing in your palm.
Feeling this woman, maybe the only woman who had ever actually willingly given her life for you, deep in your blood, buried in your soul. And then you call up her magic because maybe if it fuels yours then you can justify the whole thing and play it off like you’re just some power-hungry villain, just like they all said you were.
Except it’s not enough and it fizzles out between your fingers and you realize in that split second that all of it — all of it — was for nothing. That you failed, again. And then to have a teenager come out and have the audacity to yell at you, so you lash out, try to grab your power back, and the next thing you know you’re flying through the air and drowning in tar.
I won't say it was the worst day of her life, but it had to have been close
