After clocking out at Barley & Rye but before leaving, she can often be found having a near religious experience with a hunk of just-baked bread as her breakfast. — The nickname given to her Shrew is ironic as Lena is afraid of shrews. During her time alone in the wilderness, she suffered a bite from a shrew. It wasn’t all that bad, but alone and already suffering, the rash frightened her. It seemed like a sign that she was no longer in harmony with the Earth and the Woods. Anyone who was growing up in Burnington at that time would remember her as something of a street urchin. Deemed unsuitable for the military, Lena mostly scrapped by on her own (and still does).
