Hmm, i don’t know if someone officially designed the “Mais Express” uniforms (if someone did/is planning to, please tag me! I would be so happy to see what designs people came up with :D). So, I drew a AU (I am really bad when it comes to coming up with AU names 😭🙏) where Edward wasn’t influenced to become a general, and instead he pursued to become a train conductor instead.
The reason why, is because we all know from this Faroff hiatus short comic called “Trains”:
In this mini comic, we discover that Edward knows a LOT about trains, and even in a part, Tobias suggests Edward to become a train “general”:
There was also a comment in a ask that “in another life, Edward would have been a train conductor” that I remember seeing (sadly I didn’t find it oh nooo D:)
I think that in this AU, Edward would be actually inspired by this memory, and in the future (current time) he would become a train conductor.
I think that this AU would strongly impact Edward’s and Tobias’s current relationship, also Edward’s attitude (I think he would be a bit softer), and even maybe slightly his appearance (longer hair, ect.)

Honestly I wish I could have added more cute moments like this in the arc when they were building the house, I cut out several of them because I had to keep the story moving forward (it was hard narrowing them down, I still got the list somewhere). Honestly from episode 71 to episode 78 I was having so much trouble picking what scene to draw because that entire arc is just SO GOOD
I just really love how it shows Fenn really coming out of his shell and embracing the fact that it's okay to live freely rather than following such a strict set of rules, and even basing your sense of self and how you strive to be ON those rules.
And of course
Fenn: holy shit I think I might be gay

So I'm not sure if you mean how they would react if they drank it or just if it was offered, so I'll answer both.
Drinking alcohol in Sona is technically illegal (people find ways around it) but Fenn is very rule-abiding and therefore would be against it if it was offered. However if he did drink, he would get drunk FAST because he would have no tolerance for it. It would also be extremely funny because he would loosen up like you've never seen him. His filter would all but disappear, so he'd say things he would never say sober. I think it would also be easier to persuade him to do things, like dancing on a table lmao.
Drinking is not illegal in Vaylin and Tobi has definitely drank before. So if it was offered he would take it. His tolerance for alcohol is a lot higher than Fenn's so he would act mostly normal (but it would calm his nerves) unless he drank a large amount.
