Here's the song that Tobi's singing for anyone who's curious (it was written in the 50s and released in the 2000s so definitely not around for his time, but I've been listening to Connie Converse a lot lately and I kept connecting this song to Tobi for some reason):

Also, I've held the headcanon of lil Fenn befriending all the animals and critters on the farm (in compensation for not having other kids to be friends with) for a while AND! If I ever did a longer version of this little comic idea I'd probably use this dialogue from a conversation with Bia ( @filletedfennysnake ) a little while ago

i was thinking about the genderbend sketch that lennon attached in q&a 2 and i was wondering; if tobi canonically is more gnc than fenn is, wouldn’t their swapped versions also switch in gender presentation? so i ended up sketching what i think they’d look like genderswapped + tobi in more androgynous fashion (ignore the disgusting image quality)

I think the genderbend was assuming they're still in the same roles, which is probably why genderbended Fenn is still very masc, because having short hair is required and she would still want to be strong in order to be a good soldier.

However, because Fenn subscribes very closely to societal norms and isn't very rebellious at all, I imagine genderbended Fenn in a normal situation would be hyper feminine. Not that being feminine as a girl is wrong, obviously, but Fenn would mostly do it to fulfill a role/follow societal constructs.

Meanwhile yeah genderbended Tobi would totally rock the suit with a skirt 👀

i figured as much when i saw it, but actually it was tobi that i was thinking about in that sense, and i thought it would be interesting to make his genderbend more masculine taking into account that during that time being non conforming as a woman was considered a paramount offense and doing so was a form of rebellion. you hit the nail on the head about fenn though

i also feel like i should add that the sketch of the suit top and skirt bottom is regular tobi, not genderbended. his genderbend is the one in the middle with the short hair and pants 😅
