for so many years I longed to outrun my youth, but it seems the older I get, the more I find refuge in my juvenile days - replaying memories, stuck in moments. 

sometimes life transitions have a way of leaving a harsh taste in your mouth, causing you to crave more because the world has served you too little. 

24 began more bitter than sweet as I question my purpose and try to make up for all the times I sold my soul short.

and yet, there are savoury moments too - being alive another day to smell the rain after a storm, surrendering to love, or creating a bond so beautiful it makes you want to give up solitude. 

so although my petals be wilted and brittle, I have so much time left to bloom - reminding myself that in order to admire the roses, I too have to water the thorns.
