I've seen people be confused whether his actual name is "Phainon" or "Khaslana" and that if it's actually "Khaslana" then how'd we get to "Phainon"?

It's actually rather easy to explain.

"Phainon" is a nickname of "Khaslana" that simply doesn't translate well into english - thus his actual name is indeed "Khaslana" but everyone just calls him "Phainon."
