dear revolutionary left: we are opposed to the violent conditions of the global now because violent conditions are terrible, and while attempts at ending that violence seem inevitably to induce violence from the perpetuators of the violence we want to end, when we recycle and create and lionize violence (riot porn etc) for the rev, we attract violent people to the movement and those people predate on the left from within like sleeper agents who, far from being unaware of their dismantling actions, are enjoying their unpaid state-upholding terrorism very much. and they love this obsession with scapegoating comrade-to-comrade communication as “dry snitching.” and they love how they get respect for turning their violence away from family and friends and onto openly fascist targets… once or twice a year. and they love how name dropping the libraries of material they’ve absorbed about mass murderers works as an in so long as they were left-claiming mass murderers. they love how we can’t tell personal greed from praxis when we want to trust the ppl around us. they love the attention they get from their flamboyance so long as its flavor and trimmings have the right political logos. they love derailing everything and they’re most of the self-styled revolutionary left in some places, acting as gatekeeper vanguardists to abuse or reject anyone who isn’t in it for the wrong reasons.

if ppl’re just fronting in a familiar proletariat way to propagandistically scare the state, and those with words against them are the disrupters, which is their claim to anyone with a conscience including their own inner goodness…then why don’t they ever stop pushing their front, almost like someone who’s like that all the way down? why is it they seem to lack any interest in having, utilizing, or developing skills, information, and attitudes apart from toxic defensiveness? why aren’t they capable, functional, autonomous, kind people to the utmost of their ability behind closed doors–knowing that they’re surrounded by people who share their mental health issues and diagnoses and have overlapping or more difficult histories and strenuously avoid making those issues an excuse for fucking over others, and instead seem to draw joy from doing the opposite? why does their fronting have a victim count they refuse to acknowledge as a victim count? what’s revolutionary about lacking the self-discipline to refuse to harm or harass anyone but real counterrevolutionary targets? you look like a fronting, cowardly clown when you make mention or displays of the harm and harassment you do that’s got the right targets, because you do it to everyone, youre just spreading to new targets from how you target your friends and family, which in the milieu of the left, you can claim is because they “seem counterrevolutionary” or “aren’t rev” and anyone you didnt gatekeep out will nod nod nod. so you bumble around harming and harassing the people you’re excusing yourself from caring about because in reality youre either a psychopath or youre so deeply scared for yourself that you cant fathom stopping to trust and protect others, so you mistrust and do violence to them “because they deserve to be harmed because they probably want to harm you because they’re not rev and the rev is to fight violence so anyone not rev is harmful, a priori to any harm that comes to them”? oh yes, everyone “seems counterrevolutionary” and might just be waiting to hurt you because you’re ultimo revmaster with your violent heart.

Ok I’m going to step right in here.

Firstly: There is a HUGE difference between enjoying a cartoon style and obsessing over a murderer. If you can’t understand that difference you either, A. Stupid, or B. Lying. It’s as simple as that.

Next: It is ok to find cases of tragedy interesting because of how far unhinged they are. What it is not ok to do is to obsess over it and romanticise the event. It trivialises the murder of innocent people, it belittles and makes a mockery of the grief of their loved ones, and it is just generally pretty fucked up.

Ultimately what it comes down to is the blatant disrespect it shows for anyone but yourself. These events have DECIMATED the lives of those left to deal with the repercussions of the individuals actions. Destroyed them. Completely and utterly.

The only thing I can put it down to is a lack of empathy. Now this is caused by one of two things; either you have never experienced the death of a loved one before, in which case you will look back on yourself with horror, or you are either a sociopath (lack of empathy created by environment) or a psychopath (born without most human emotions). If either of the latter two are true then go see a doctor. Obsession with murderers is a huge indicator for someone having psychopathic tendencies. It’s up there with killing and torturing animals.

Conclusion: Have some fucking respect. Grow the fuck up. Failing that, see a doctor.

outside critique that transcends the glaring colonial history? ive got doubts abt whether the doc is worthwhile because its bbc calling out cultural shit in an excolony, seems like. but this guy is cool since he refuses to make any excuse for rape-positive thinking (eg relativism, anti-universalist morality, cultural unity against critique/under post-colonial reformation distress, so on). to me its really distressing when ppl try to say that refusing to be abused is a form of whiteness-poisoning that demands “correction.” abusiveness is not a core or original part of any culture except imperial colonial capitalism (can be called white culture but its popular all over and ppl participate in it w/out being white, the notion of the inborn badness of white ppl is a gimmick, used to shift blame and explain away vastly more nuanced shit, much like the semi-counterintuitive notion of how white culture is soft and lacks discipline. hint: physically punishing kids shows a lack of discipline on the part of those formulating the punishments. i have yet to experience otherwise or hear any meaningful counterargument). and more generally i see ankh style moc or pseudo-radical whites using variations on the “youre naive and indoctrinated. don’t act a fool, this is how the real world is” thing on teenage girls and other vulnerable targets of their personal sexual conquest insecurity. i see girls growing up hearing this shit from their fathers and buying into it. that’s not how the real world is, actually. i’ve been to it.
