This is an intro post! I hope it doesn’t have too many words, i really like to yap

My pronouns are He/They.

My name is León, but you can also call me by my full-online-name León Jamón (it literally means lion-ham, if you were wondering).

I am an April-Taurus who is 17yo by the day i’m posting this.

I’m under the non-binary umbrella, but for some personal facilites, i just tell people i’m a boy.

English is not my first language! Since i’m mexican and my first language is spanish, I will commit a lot of spelling mistakes. Sorry about that.

You’ll see a lot of reblogs, and when i’m not rebloging i’m just yapping and saying a lot of incoherencies. Please note that most of my posts are attempts to make you laugh.

dear diary,

i finally got to 15 followers on tumblr. i’m trying really hard to not let the fame get to my head but it’s difficult. today some lady at the supermarket asked me if i wanted paper or plastic bags and i just f*****cking lost it i am too famous for her questions. i can’t believe i haven’t been asked to do a magazine cover yet. i feel like it is coming soon.

I find it very ironic how Gon is considered selfish for wanting revenge for Kite, but Kurapika isn't for wanting revenge for his clan. And tbh Kurapika was the one who seemed to be more selfish about it. At least for a little bit. He's much better now. And btw I'm not saying that Kurapika isn't justified for wanting revenge for his clan or that he's a terrible person for wanting revenge, I'm only pointing out the double standard that exists in this fandom in which Gon is called a psychopathic monster, but Kurapika is practically paised for it.

He's the one who suggested Gon be bait to get to the Phantom Troupe. And Gon then makes a comment about how he would rather die than let down a friend, and Kurapika responds with, "That was my hope." Now I love Kurapika, and I do think that deep down, he didn't truly mean that because he is a good person. But he still put Gon in that position, knowing damn well that Gon would gladly risk his life for him. Kurapika literally states that he's doing this for his safety, and he makes Gon the distraction. That's kind of selfish. He's using Gons recklessness to his advantage. And that's where we get both Killua and Leorio reaction. Killua didn't want to go after the Troupe because he knew that Gon would do anything to help Kurapika even if he ended up giving his life. (And because of the needle, I'm sure.) And Leorio reaction was, "It's like seeing him being ruthless for the first time."

Not the entire time of course, he did pick his friends over revenge, but he still put Gon and Killua at risk and later got them captured because of his impulsive decision to run after the Phantom Troupe. I love Kurapika, but he was a little selfish during the Yorknew City arc imo.

However, Gon completely isolated himself from others. He does use Komugi as a hostage and you could say that that's selfish. BUT for all he knows, Komugi is an enemy. Pitou literally tells him that the reason why she's healing Komugi is because she made the King who he is. If I were Gon at that moment, I would think that Komugi is with them. He doesn't know that she's a blind innocent woman who was forced into this. All he knows is that she's important to the King and that Pitou, who he believes to be completely evil, is healing her. Now, this is all speculation. We don't really know what Gon is thinking in this moment, but that's how I interpret the situation.

Now, we can debate whether it was to protect Killua or not when he went with Pitou alone. But I personally think he thought that this was his burden and his alone. He wouldn't risk Killua's life when it was his fault. When it was Gon who let down Kite. Plus, Killua pretty much tells us that him going with them would've lost the advantage they had. Pitou would most likely take Killua or Gon, and then Komugi as a hostage would be null and void at that point.

I'm just pointing out a double standard that Gon is considered selfish even when his main goal was to save Kite btw, and Kurapika isn't even when he put both Gon and Killua at risk for his safety. Just be consistent and make it make sense, please.

Someone needs to tell parents everywhere that a child never complaining is NOT a sign of a mentally healthy child, and it is, in fact, the complete opposite of that.

i think people really under sell the physical side effects of mental health disorders sometimes. like sure the depression and anxiety may be 'just in your head' but when what's in your head happens to disrupts your sleep schedule and prevent you from going outside regularly and eating consistent meals and exercising and generally taking care of your body. well it sure takes its toll huh.
