If you don't feel interested in romance, don't often have crushes, or dislike the idea of romance in general, I have news for you: Rare Sierra Nevada Red Fox Spotted In Southern Sierra Area For First Time In Nearly A Century
What if I am interested in romance and have crushes on everyone? Should I insta-forget this piece of news?
They look like the three fates from herculus the disney movie. They're plotting something.
I feel like zombie settings could do more to make slow zombies scarier in quiet, creeping ways. Zombies facing away from people. Walking backwards. Only moving if they're not seen. Holding a survivor but not hurting them. Motionless but their eyes follow you. Soundless horde.
Encountering fast zombies: Physical challenge
Encountering slow zombies: Psychological terror
Ohh okay okay okay I like this.
If zombies are a representation of the breakdown of society, the traditional zombie is a more noticeable, violent, immediate collapse of society.
The slow, quiet, still zombie is more about the societal collapse we don't see until it's too late, one that doesn't happen suddenly and drastically but one that happens without a fuss. The violence doesn't become the focus of the tension, the violence is the release of it.
Is that zombies skinamarink edition?
Jokes aside, zombies are often used as a metaphor for the paralysed working class, who slowly rot from passivity, their violence turning inwards. The West, now, is not in an era of fast zombies where that corruption is obvious, like medieval peasants getting whipped (although we seem pretty close to that nowadays), but in an era of slow zombies, people slowly getting consumed by every problem and injustice until reality feels so bleak it might as well not exist.

This is a coverage of the superintelligence risk by quatari news network.
For any mutuals I may have in the UK, first of all, I'm sorry. I know it must be tough living there with the frankly absurd gender-related regulations. Secondly, I hope you can help the world out by signing this form https://ukbill.controlai.com/.
How would that even be implemented? Like would I write Dear Sir or Ma'am, I would like to confirm... and it'd turn it into gays gals and enby pals im saying yass to... orr
the unfortunate side effect of developing a more critical eye for fan behaviour as a product of society™️ is that new fan takes on a piece of media become fairly predictable. oh the white guy with daddy issues is your favourite? you think the asian man is an adorable subby cinnamon roll? you think the woman in a position of authority is either mom-coded or a total bitch? say less
why this so real?
(I can't believe how long it takes for a video to be uploaded on tumblr). So, time for me to do my weekly screaming into the void about AI safety.
I can't believe we live in a world where there's an AI company unironically called "Palantir," and it isn't a parody. It's a real thing. I remember seeing a picture of an advertisement on here and thinking, "This HAS to be a joke. This is too on-the-nose to be real. They wouldn't honestly name an AI company Palantir, after the Seeing Stones from Lord of the Rings that are supposed to offer knowledge, but famously also might be feeding you misinformation from evil sources because 'we do not know who else may be watching.'" But then here I am listening to the BBC News discussing why the CEO of Palantir just published a Manifesto that sounds like it was written by a supervillain.
This because noone can convince me that we are not living in a dystopic reality show anymore.
