05.11 - The Red Star Jelly
EXM-H15C ACERBY [TYPE-C]
It took much time to adjust the color palette.
Cleaning the line art too much, and overusing airbrush were also time consuming.
also she's cute with mouth isn't she
EXM-H15B ACERBY [TYPE-B]
It went very well today. It's just a rough lines with colors but this is the best work for last 3 months.
Also this is my first work with airbrush. Looks weird as it's applied only on a small area, but I really wanted to represent at least a fraction of the beauty of Acerboobs.
EXM-H15A ACERBY [TYPE-A]
I'm so happy to finish this piece before I go for a trip.
Now ABC is done, I will eventually draw D and E, but not soon. I can't do this quality every time. It consumes so much energy...
Bonus piece with mouth.
when you have way more 30ms torsos than you have 30ms limbs you have to get creative

P-Bandai HGGTO 1/144 E.F.S.F Mass-Produced Mobile Suit RGC-80S "GM Cannon" [Space Assault Type]
The GM collection grows with the GM Cannon [Space Assault Type]! The GM Cannon is a unique GM design from the original Mobile Suit Variations series, incorporating aspects of the Guncannon onto the newer and more refined GM design platform. It appears in a single scene from Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo. The Space Assault variation is an even more obscure variant, reducing the lower leg armour significantly to allow for better space mobility. This version really only exists as a part of the MSV-R design series, aside from its Gundam The Origin style model kit revival.
The GM cannon is somewhat contemporary to the Guncannon Mass-Production, and represents the shift to the GM as the main Mobile Suit platform for the Earth Federation during the inter-war period.
This kit is pretty incredible, with a shockingly small set of sprues. The colour separation is essentially perfect, with no colour-correction required aside from the grey section over the cockpit, as well as the fire-retardant red inside the thrusters and the yellow chevron on the waist (which I ended up painting anyway). I painted most of the missing small details, including adding some yellow to the forehead vulcans and some light grey patches on the thighs and wrists for a little extra detail. I also outlined all of the thrusters with a little gold, as I usually do for this type of kit.
I kept the weathering simple, just adding a metallic drybrush and pigment powder over the grey parts, some titanium pigment over the almost-black armour sections, and plenty of soot discolouration around the various vents. I think that the head discolouration I managed to add on the beam spray gun is one of my best attempts at it so far.
Just like a lot of the other HGGTO kits, especially the GM Missile-Pod, the GM Cannon [Space Assault Type] contains a large quantity of dry decal stickers. These ones are a little annoying to apply, as a lot of them are too big for the place they are meant to go, or overlap on some awkward details. The actual choice of stickers is really nice though, properly recreating the designs from the original Kunio Okawara drawing. You even get a few extra warning decals, great for helping to detail up other HG kits.
The accessories for this kit are fairly simple. The only extra parts are a right pistol grip hand option, and the beam spray gun, which is notably larger than the one designed for the older HGUC GM kit. Otherwise, the 360mm rocket cannon is affixed securely to the shoulder.
The kit is fairly poseable, despite its rather old-fashioned reliance on polycap parts. You can get some super dynamic poses out of it, although the cannon does get in the way of head movement.
Overall, it's a really great build, and it's a shame that it's a P-Bandai exclusive. I'm looking forward to tackling the other P-Bandai GM variants I've picked up this year farily soon, so keep an eye on this space!

damn that's a cool custom
Unicorn Overlord is an amazing game from an amazing studio but lately, after watching a few videos about it thus causing my YT algo to rec more UO videos at me, a disturbing but un-surprising trend has arisen; the amount of videos of people who have apparently only EVER played Fire Emblem as a tactics rpg game, loudly proclaiming how they only play FE, but are trying UO and liking it.
The liking it part is great to hear and all, its a great game and deserves the playerbase. But man... what the fuck is up with people who literally only play one brand name of game series and nothing else? This is a vent post about it I guess so if you're gonna be defensive just skip it, but man, it is both saddening and like... mildly socially gross to me, that people, so so many people, do this. This isn't some attack on FE either, but you gotta diversify your media palette folks, you really gotta. You're missing out on so so so so so very much by only playing one name brand franchise all the time. I promise over 50% of people doing this who think said name brand franchise is there favorite have simply not found their real favorite because they don't actually try playing anything else. You gotta put in some actual effort to your media. If you got time to replay a 60+ hour rpg for the fifth time you can play a new game one time.
Also this isn't just about games its about all media, books, movies, music, radio plays, whatever. All of it. Like if nothing else, actually do the justice to the genre you claim to love by trying things other then that one brand name in that genre, I promise there's like... a million other options once you put your own effort into searching around at all.
Not a speck of disagreement in me here for your overall point, but since you're using Unicorn Overlord as your example, would you mind if I asked you for some other examples of notable works in the Tactical (J)RPG genre?
I have very fond memories of playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and A2, but not much between then and now except XCOM 2, and I'd love some recommendations!
...Fire Emblem notwithstanding, obviously (no shade to the FE fans, either, it's just an obvious one!).
The shape of love
This is on paper btw
huge fan of the depth of a good purple but another area that draws me is definitely around aquamarine/turquoise/seafoam. you can not go wrong once the green starts getting just a tinge more blue. a gal could certainly do worse than to pull over there and stay a while
something earth shattering going on here
this is why one of my favorite all-time paintings is Ship in Stormy Seas by Ivan Aivazovsky... he was really onto something there
