thank you. i love them. i love finnfern, cause im autosexual #i dont see them as brothers, Fern is a clone, they have the same memories up until a splitting point. Clonecest if you will. Also in Fionna and Cake they are not sisters.
ALSO FERN LIVED (in my headcanon)- cause what do you mean in a world with elixirs that bring back the dead, Princess bubblegum *there*, the deadworld that Finn and Jake visited and came back from to retrieve Princess Bubblegum’s candy plant soul that they killed 😭, in a world with magic, vampires, multiple realities, time travel or dimension hoppers (?)- that they didn’t bring him back?? They absolutely brought him back off-screen and Finn & Fern did gay stuff.
There would be an episode where Jake and BMO reconcile with their incest adjacent relationship (clonecest),
Marcelline would be accepting off-the-bat but tease them about dating a version of themselves and PB would say something shocked in german, monotonely joke “don’t you lemongrab eachother though ” or be accepting from the start and psychoanalyse them & their relationship to their face. Simon would say “WOWZA” and then “whatever floats your boat” slightly uncomfortably, Gunter would say wenk wenk, LSP would drop a passing comment like “not even i am that vapid”, Lemongrab 3 would say “acceptable”, Prismo would say “what thaa-“, laugh and say “anyway”, Phoebe would say “im happy for you Finn, oh and for Fern too… wait you does this make you both my exes… this is weird.. but im genuinely happy for you. Both-” and Huntress Wizard would smirk, roll her eyes and say to Finn “so you have a type huh?” (cause plants 🌱).
By the end of the episode Jake and BMO would be okay with their brothers who are not siblings to each other, being in a relationship, because they are happy and in love and because Finn & Fern would get passive aggressive and say they won’t live with Jake & BMO if they don’t even try to start getting used to them. Roll (failed) house hunting montage. Roll Jake and BMO being sad fantasizing about not living with Finn and Fern clip. Then they would run outside just for Finn & Fern to be by the door cause the sun is almost down and they didn’t find a new place to live. Jake would hug them in a stretch, BMO would hug Fern’s leg and they’d say they’ll stop being weird about their relationship, under the condition Finn and Fern stop calling each other “bro” cause it’s weird.
And then yea, Finn & Fern would sleep in the same bed, Finn and Jake would be yucked out by Fern’s plant-based snacks, “get a room” comments by Jake when they kiss, BMO would want to make wedding plans and be their officiate way too early (they get married when they’re like 28), they make new routines adding Fern into them, they go through new adventures together and they live happily ever after.
