I'm fine- No, these days I tend to lie
He tried to forget about the ripping sounds of that night crashing in his only place of solitude... well, books were more of that than his actual job. At least they always were... until now. Reading just seemed like a bad taste at the moment. On the a good note, he got to steady his hands after he put them to work with cleaning the shelves, and arranging the contents. Once more, thrice, and again. Yet his mind always strayed back to the guns and fire. Back to the scent of blood, burning and running among the screams that echoed with the night. He was lucky enough to come out of it a bit scratched... but alive. The idea was to keep the hatchet thrown at him and bury it. Bring out that English resolve and move on. Like the motto: Keep calm and carry on... He wasn't calm. How in bloody sakes was he going carry on? At least the other people in town had each other. While he... well it was really simple, he was no one. And that seems to be the role he was most fitted for. Never the courageous one or the one that mattered. Always the one that trembled. So much for being optimistic old boy.
The delirious look on the manās face brought a slight smile to Oliverās face. āHey, donāt mention it, manā, he spoke, pulling him up from the ground carefully. āAre you alright?ā he asked, checking the man over for any major injuries.
"Yea yea... I feel knackered to be honest... But that's what you're suppose to feel after running from a bomb, right?" He really shouldn't be giggling at such a statement, but it just came out. While everything was grim around them... he just laughed for being alive. Maybe this was the shock. Hmm interesting.
I need to do something to get my mind off of last night.
Oh. Um, maybe.
No no... I understand completely. You, everyone, need time... it's been a-a lot... I'll just erm... go... yea... erm Ć .... plus... t-tard.
I need to do something to get my mind off of last night.
Right... Don't have those then... Well there's always the bookshop I work at... I could make you a cuppa... if you like? It's okay if you don't want to. I understand...

Anyone have any suggestions?
I was think about going to a pub... not going to get much sleep anytime soon...
So, yesterday was exciting!
A bomb, in Gordes! Wow!
What do you love the most about this place?
The wine. Don't get me wrong! I'm not an excessive drinker, but it's bewitching... and seeing that I witness several unfortunate events all at once... I might need to get to a good pub... What would you call that in French?

Despite missing the blast, Oliver still noticed those around him floundering aboutĀ andĀ attemptingĀ to gain their balance clumsily and confusedly.Ā As he watched his new friend struggling to get up, he extended a hand - feeling a bit sorry for the poor fellow. Ā āWould you like some help?ā he asked, speaking a bit louder than usual so that Owen could hear him.
Oliver? Where dd he... Ah! It came back to him... In fact, many things came flooding back to him... as did the recent events... the very detail seconds that transpired, no wonder it left his legs and arms shaky. "That would be brilliant..." He took Oliver's hand, "Thanks mate."
Where do we go from here?
Merci pour votre aide, Ć©tranger, but that was not really what I was looking for. Who are you? I donāt believe Iāve seen you before.
... But I did catch the stranger part... or at least I think that's what it was... Erm, hello! I'm Owen, I'm new. Moved here not too long ago... Erm hello.
Where do we go from here?
Anyone have any ideas?
