you just made me even more hyped about sweet tooth good dentist than i already was (because i love romcom dumbassery) for i feel like we see so little purple coded characters? tragically underused colour in my opinion

I was not excited for this show because I have some grudges against the creator JittiRain, but I like GMMTV's Hallmark style of plot-by-number shows (this is a high compliment from me because I enjoy a clean narrative structure) and I like the director Pepzi's style, so I was going to watch regardless. But now I am excited because of the color coding! And it's not just because of Sant's pinks and purples!

I'm excited because I think Jay is going to be the ultimate nerd in his brown and blue, and those colors are not paired enough together!

And pairing the feminine (pinks/purples) with the masculine (brown/blues) is usually reserved for the straights.

And rarely happens in a queer series.

So if Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist is really giving me a romcom with a lively yet compassionate main character partnered with a stiff yet loyal lead, I'm going to be thrilled!

Because not only do I think Jay is going to be a nerd, I think Captain is also a square in his blues and browns.

AKA the perfect competition for Jay.

Blue Boys and Brown Boys are the ultimate best boys because they are practical, they are smart, they are loyal, and they will sacrifice everything for the one they love, so if Jay and Captain are battling it out for Sant's affection, both men are going to have to get out of their comfort zone to win, which they will hate.

But I think Jay is up for the challenge!

Because he is already in love!

Basically, he is the ultimate leading man!

And he is chasing after the perfect main character!

So plot-by-numbers GMMTV is finally committed to giving me a romcom in every aspect including the visual!

And I am going to be so annoying about this.
