My most recent cosplay commission! A hand painted, custom made, Journey-inspired high waisted skirt!
There are SIX yards of fabric in this full circle skirt, and another six in the attached petticoat—lets just say, it weighs a lot! The design details are all done in a shimmering, metallic fabric stain that once heat set is completely washable, dry-able and iron-able.
Very proud of how this turned out!

My Canti cosplay commission wandering the halls at Youmacon 2015 :). So much fun this weekend, I was chilling as Anju with my favorite Kafei!
Hi! I saw a post of yours awhile back that had some lovely pocket hoops. Do you have any advice or helpful resources for someone looking to make something similar? What did you use for the actual hoop material? I've heard many different things from pvc type piping to metal wire, but I have no experience to know what would be best for that particular shape. :/
Hi!Pocket hoops are actually very simple to make! For the hoop material, I use plastic hooping (go figure) that can be purchased by the yard at most any fabric store---Jo-Ann's, Hancock's, etc. It comes on this giant roll, and you can take as much as you want, is easily cut with scissors, and totally intended for this purpose. As for the pattern, I just did some quick googling, and this website (http://www.marquise.de/en/1700/howto/frauen/paniers.shtml) seems to give good step by step instructions, and have great visuals on a pattern. I personally would totally suggest using a waist band rather than a waist tie--it lies flatter under petticoat and is more secure---but that is totally personal preference. I also have pocket hoops listed in my etsy store, if you're interested :) (https://www.etsy.com/listing/210903433/womens-pocket-hoops-18th-century-pocket?ref=shop_home_active_4)I hope this helps, and please feel free to ask any other questions! Can I ask what you're hoping to wear them with/under?
Got my corset made for my Vraska cosplay! It's going to look a little different in the final form, but this will be the base of the whole thing. Super happy with how it's turned out---I used a beautiful white textured fabric and layered green and brown sheer layers on top. Can't wait to get started on my snake head---my materials arrive today!
Hi All! I've been pretty quiet for a while, especially after finishing Canti, because I just started a new job! Yay! However, I'm also really excited and looking forward to saving towards some pretty big life goals in the coming year, and that's what I wanted to mention today: If anybody is looking for some awesome vintage inspired clothing, historical underpinnings, or really anything that can be sewn by a person, check out my Etsy shop (www.etsy.com/shop/leslielimited) and see what I've got or drop a line for a custom order. I have a huge supply of fabric on hand, and am willing to offer great deals on custom pieces using my extensive fabric horde. I am also still open for any cosplay or costume craft (hats, masks, millinery) commissions! Let me know what you're looking for, and we can work something out! Again, I am trying to bust my butt to bring in some extra cash, so if you or anybody you know is looking for some custom clothing, anything from robots to circle skirts, send them my way and I would be forever appreciative! Sorry for the long post, and thanks for reading :)
So excited to see so many new followers! I'm currently accepting requests for cosplay commissions, so if you or a friend are looking for a handmade, high quality custom cosplay, hit me up! Lots of examples of previous custom work on my blog. Thanks new internet peeps :)

My favorite photo is on the top: as soon as we came into view that little girl was awestruck with the shiny red robot in front of her.

In honor of National Greyhound Adoption Month! Our Jade is a retired racer from a track in Mobile, Alabama. For the sixth months she's been in our family, it has finally felt complete, like she was meant to be here all along. I have never met a more loving, calm, and devoted breed (not to mention well-behaved) and I have to urge everyone thinking about getting a dog to please PLEASE do some research on greyhounds--they might be the perfect fit for you, too!
Preliminary fit photos for the finished Canti cosplay! Much nicer photos to come later that aren't taken in my messy living room :) It will be making its debut on my client at Midwest Media Expo!
Also finished my Amon cosplay! (Well, a while ago...) but am just now getting around to posting pictures of it. I am responsible for the tunic and belt, the mask is just something I had lying around----costumers, we're so eccentric! Very pleased with how it turned out, and excited I got to work some faux leather into the collar!
