engineering-robotics:
Everything that Leslie was saying made perfect sense from a business model standpoints, and even more so on a financial standpoint along with his ability to make this not look like some underhanded and shady deal. That was really the only thing which was bothering Reeve about the whole mess was anything being traced back to him in a negative light but, the young man seemed to have all avenues tightly sealed and understood the gravity of what they were dealing with.
Neither of them wanted this plan to fail; least of all because there were so many people who depended on having a safe and stable place to live. This was paramount to the ideals in which Reeve held himself up by and it would be truly remiss of the man to brush any of this aside. The young man had already provided the documents he had asked for previously and all that was necessary now was to indeed ensure an irreversible allocation of funds into the project.
So, that was it then.
“I would like to actually see this office soon if I may. I am impressed and perhaps a little excited that you were able to help in the endeavor of setting up a committee for everyone to speak and work at.” The industriousness of the youth was boundless in its energy and enthusiasm that was for certain.
Leslie had read up on the director before meeting him and before even considering coming to him. He was, by all accounts, a fair and just man who was brilliant on several different levels. Reeve had a wide range of experience and knowledge, both of which he’d honed into a sharp edge to propel ShinRa forward. A lot of what the company, heck – the world had, was thanks to this man right before him. From what he’d also found, Director Tuesti was also caring to a fault.
Which is why the last thing Leslie wanted was to drag him down through the dirt. Leslie lit up slightly when Reeve expressed excitement about the project. He could see a light in the man’s eyes that gave him a strange sense of reassurance.
“I can arrange a visit anytime, to your convenience,” he said seriously. “I understand more than most the need for discretion, so please know that the office is open to you even if you needed at a time like 0300hrs. The team is small but capable, and we’d more than appreciate getting your insight to the plans.”
Leslie looked at the documents with a relieved smile, folding them back up and keeping them before offering his hand to the director, “Thank you, Mr. Tuesti. I can’t wait for us to work together on this.” People could start recovering from Platefall now, and hopefully they would all be much better than before.
