Sense and Sensibility at Cambridge a.r.t. is thrilling! Greatly enjoying my Christmas gift alongside tracks from St. Vincent and Everything Everything during seating. Best of all - sooo many fabulous theatre ideas. Thank you, Andy!
First day of Pharaoh Party was a success! I think my pharaohs enjoyed themselves!
When I’m too sick to party on a Friday night, I build small models of South American mountain ranges so my Geography students can simulate mining, compare/contrast Colombian and Brazilian emerald deposits, and address how problematic the concept of land reclamation really is... what? 🤓
Also, why is my school so cool? Found these HS projects on the front lawn of the school today!
Another day in the life of middle school:
1. Primeridian

We made it to the Neolithic era!
Stage 1 of the nest: a quiet solo space and alternative seat for students who need a minute away from the crowd.
Another reason why I love middle school
My room is ready for 2017-2018!!! Thanks to my buddies, Eileen and Paula, and my amazing mother-in-law for help with my brand new bulletin boards!
Cheers to another amazing year ahead! Teachers report tomorrow and I'm 😆
Another phenomenal year in the books! Thank you, students, fellow teachers, and friends.

6th grader
One of my favorite questions of the year: today's 7th grade Aesop fable-related Do Now was to share the life lessons valuable enough to pass onto the next generation. I'm running it again first period tomorrow and I am so excited. My birdies are about the fly the nest. It's bittertweet.
Apparently this Persian Immortal is "made of pants" 😋

I've been so busy lately that it's been a challenge to upload progress photos, but now I have an entire week to work my way backward beginning with today's living writing progress timeline for our 7th grade summative piece on the fall of the ancient Harappans. Students take 3 minutes at the beginning of class to mark where they are on the timeline so I know immediately where to focus energy and how to involve the ESP.
