Black Panther Cast Competes in a Compliment Battle
michael b. jordan // the secret talent theatre for vanity fair (january 2018)
Black Panther was awesome. It was just awesome. I felt happy for all the black people around me who finally had a superhero who could represent, better when the movie hands down is up there as one of the best produced Marvel movies to date. Everything about it was just emotional, powerful, and beautiful. TâChalla and Killmonger are amazing characters and I felt the rollercoaster ride of emotions everyone in Wakanda went under throughout the movie. I love the power and intelligence of the women. I love how the king protects his country for the world and his people. He learns from his fatherâs past mistakes and Killmongerâs current ones in order to be a king he himself can be proud of. Killmonger has a tragic backstory that leads to his demise. Brought me to tears because he didnât deserve to die that way. It was not so much revenge, but to challenge and conquer the throne when the time came to change the wheels of Wakanda. He had a vision for Wakanda, his version of a utopia which was to not keep the vibranium for themselvesâŠexcept that he wanted to weaponize the oppressed and stand above the world. So it turned sour at that part and the fact heâs a merciless killer. Wish we knew more about what went on inside his head. The technology was just UNFFFF. Seriously, everything else before this movie is suddenly Jurassic era. TâChalla be talking with the thing behind his ear and Ross is talking into his sleeve. So subtle. Cmon white people. But the rest of the world make the most of their resources which is not much so thatâs their limit haha. Until Wakanda shares the vibranium and then Tony Stark can have an IQ combustion of ideas to help the world with that kind of power. Shuri is so adorable and TâChallaâs burst of energy when sheâs threatened makes my heart burst. I love everything.
Michael B Jordan and Chadwick Boseman thoughâŠI was staring them down like the eclipse and going blind because they are so FINE.
Killmonger swaggered everywhere he went. Like, it wasnât even a Iâm powerful walk, but a confident sexy walk. He be walking like he seducing. And his combat clothes were so fine.
TâChalla and his wardrobe man. His popped collar clothes, THE SUITSS, and the vibranium suit! Oh mah lord. He was so fine and refined. Shirtless? In shorts?
THE TIGHT CLOTHES. THE FINENESS. THE WALKING SEX. SEX ON FEET. I WAS THIRSTY. I WAS. I AM.
I suddenly am blind to my affection for the other marvel men. Once you go black you never go back.

Treating your cancer with all-natural âalternative medicineâ may double your risk of dying Â
Treating curable cancers with âalternative medicineâ techniques is a choice that at least one in three Americans makes.
That includes former Apple CEO Steve Jobs before his death from a curable form of pancreatic cancer in 2011.
But even if treating the body with these ânaturalâ methods sounds appealing, a recent study suggests that using alternative medicine to treat cancer more than doubles the risk of dying within five years. Read more (8/15/17)

But at lease you tried 2 fight right?
So, all y'all âGays For Trumpâ folks out there still on this dudeâs side? Y'all still really believe he is going to âfight for usâ and not just use us as a rhetorical cudgel against Muslims?
Y'all were foolish enough to support him after he picked Mike fucking Pence as his VP, so I guess nothing will change y'alls minds huh?
Jessamyn Stanley wants everyone to know that every body is a yoga body. In fact, she made it the title of her first book, Every Body Yoga.
We have been hearing a lot of war mongering sounds from the right in the Republican Party. As to exactly what the president should and should not do in Syria. One thing they need to understand. Is the fact that the American people are now tired of all the bloodshed being suffered by American servicemen on foreign battlefields. We had eight years of George Bush and almost as many years of warfare. This country tried to impose a democracy upon Iraq and as far as we know it certainly hasnât worked. There is still an internicine civil war being conducted there. The two largest religious groups, the Shia and the Sunni Moslems. Continue to kill each other with the most cruel and brutal forms of violence.
What difference would we make in Syria? After we leave, the many religious and political groups would still continue to fight each other. These people have to be left to sort out their own destinies. In Europe, Britain and France fought a war for one hundred years until they finally learnt that warfare was futile. They both eventually figured out a way to live together in peace. For all the Republicans who havenât yet caught on. This country is broke. If we continue to take on other peopleâs problems militarily. We will never be able to build enough hospitals and infirmaries to treat and nurse our wounded war veterans back to health. We havenât even figured out a way to cope yet with the many forms of mental illnesses with which thousands of our traumatized soldiers are afflicted.
I would like to encourage the president to stick to his guns. Keep this country out of any more wars Mr. President. We elected Barack Obama in the 2012 election, not George Bush. When we finally leave Afghanistan the various groups of the Taliban will be fighting the Afghan army again. Only God knows when that war will end! However, it will definitely have to continue without us. The Republicans are doing everything they possibly can to sabotage the president. They have torpedoed his budget. They are busy manufacturing false scandals. Now they want to get him bogged down in another war. Enough is enough senator McCain. The present Commander in Chief will not order our troops into harms way just to fall into another Republican trap.
Maryland just made it law to fund Planned Parenthood
On Thursday, Maryland became the first state to formalize its commitment to funding Planned Parenthood, with a law that says the state will use its own spending to reimburse clinics if the federal government slashes their funding.
According to the Washington Post, Gov. Larry Hogan allowed the bill to pass into law without his signature, along with 14 other measures. Read more. (4/7/17, 10:42 AM)
Your Air, your way. Ruby Rose has defied convention by living her way and nobody elseâs. Thatâs a revolution.
As millions of New Yorkers headed out to the polls yesterday, a select few capped off their day of civic duty with a trip to Rochester, New Yorkâs Mount Hope Cemetery to decorate the headstone of suffragist Susan B. Anthony with âI votedâ stickers. Why you shouldnât worry about the headstone.
Ben Carson wastes no time complaining about Harriet Tubman on the $20
Carson appeared Wednesday on Fox Business Network, where he voiced his displeasure with the decision. âI think Andrew Jackson was a tremendous secretary, a tremendous president,â Carson said. When asked if he was âanti-Tubman,â he replied, âI love Harriet Tubman ⊠but we can find another way to honor her.â He suggested putting her on the most rare U.S. bill.
