“Go ahead, I’ll catch up, buddy.” Caradoc watched Noah run down the hall to the next Healers station, grinning at the Healer he found and scrambling to take the offered assorted candies. His bag would be full before mid-day, which Caradoc couldn’t help but be satisfied with - Noah would have a normal childhood, as far as Caradoc could assure it. “Who knew Healers were such sweet tooths?” He spoke, mainly to himself as Noah disappeared from view accompanied by one of his trainee Mediwizards.
“Adorable child.” In order to summon a smile at the kid for the benefit of the father, Rod imagined smashing the young boy’s head into the triage desk until his skull fractured. “I don’t have any of my own yet. My wife and I are trying. I wish I had candy for him.”
