The weather was nice outside, so Nyx took the opportunity to work on her current painting outside on the balcony of her studio apartment. It was a fall inspired piece after all. She had been hard at work for a few hours and she was starting to feel the piece was actually coming together. As she set down her paintbrush in the cup of paint water, it toppled over the edge, sending dirty liquid down towards the ground. Hearing someone scream, Nyx shouted. “Shit! I’m so sorry. Are you okay?” She was honestly too afraid to look, not sure if the sudden spill had scared them, or actually spilled on them.
Gavin was glued to the book he was assigned for class, which was surprising. Most of the pieces that his professor has assigned since school started was.. Well, they were all pieces of garbage. But this one really capture his attention and he hasn’t been able to put it down, quite literally. He was walking down the sidewalk, eyes focused on the pages as he walked. He looked up every so often to make sure he wasn’t going to walk into anyone. But what he should have been looking for was something coming down on him. Within moments, he was covered in some sort of cold, wet, dirty liquid. “What the hell?!” He shouted, wiping his face and looking down at the wet pages of the book. He looked up, squinting a bit as he heard someone apologizing. “Define okay?” He called out, spitting a bit to get whatever it was out of his mouth.
