Thinking about YANDERE! Male Leads from an Otome Game...
Yandere! Male leads! X Isekaied! Female! Reader < pt. 4 >
Recap: Her breath hitched as she read the words written in a careful, measured hand. The contents of the letter were startling, far more troubling and dangerous than she could have guessed, and a soft gasp escaped her lips. She pressed the page closer to her eyes, studying every stroke and curve of the letters as if the letter's content might change if she keep rereading the letter.
As she put down the letter to the table, her mind was spinning—why?
Finally, the time is here, you thought as you glanced outside the carriage. A week ago, an invitation from the royal family sent the nobles into a panic—after all, the king had never called a royal ball on such short notice. Even the Cross couple went into a panic when they received the invitation and immediately ordered 2 custom dresses and jewellery for their beloved daughters and thankfully, it came just before the ball.
But of course, you had known this day would arrive. You know for a fact that tonight, the tide of fate would begin to turn—might or might not be in your favor. You can only hope that Julian follow his words and you can save yourself from the horrible ending that's about to come.
Julian warned you 2 weeks prior about the royal ball (as expected from the Underworld; they have eyes everywhere, and no information could escape him) and you've prepared everything for your escape, including telling your plan with WIllow.
Willow was surprised to hear your escape plan, but the thought of going back to the Light Kingdom and reunite with his family made his heart beat with a mix of hope and fear. He knew the journey would be long and exhausting, but the chance to see his home again outweighed every hesitation he had.
It doesn't take long for WIllow to agree with the plan and assisted you in every step of the way, ensuring there'll be no disturbance to your plan.
Before you and Lilian left, you've dismissed Willow in front of the other servants to rest and for no one to disturb him—a small gift for working as hard as everybody else.
That will give him the opportunity to pack his belongings and hide before Julian pick him up, you thought as you examined the freshly embroidered handkerchief Maria had given you just before you left for the ball.
A simple black cross (X) with green vines and red roses along the edge and petals scattered around were stitched in the middle of a soft cloth. Even in this small piece, the Cross family’s power and pride were easy to see and understood.
Without any warning, a bigger hand gently gripped yours, "You seem lost in thought, my dear," your father said, pulling your attention.
You took a quick breath and tried to compose yourself, "I don't understand," you answered, focusing at the crest to avoid your father's sharp eyes, "Why has His Majesty summoned a ball at such short notice? The winter celebration is not up for a few months, the birth of this kingdom was weeks ago, and there’s no other reason to celebrate, so why...?"
Lilian quickly chimed in, "Perhaps he has found himself a queen?" she asked in an excited tone. You lift your head to see your younger twin grinning innocently.
As a response, your mother giggled beside her, "It's an interesting theory, Lilian, but be sure to not say that in front of His Majesty. He might not take it well,"
You blinked, completely caught off guard.
Wait... I think the game did mention something about the queen... but what was it?
"Will Prince Aqua attend the ball? I heard from other ladies that Prince Aqua hasn't gone to any battles lately, as Prince Leo has diplomatically solved the 100 year war and thus, ultimately reduced Prince Aqua's workload," Lilan mentioned, tapping one of her fingers against her cheek, as if she's trying to recall something.
Aqua...?
You feel some unease on your chest. You found yourself lost in your thought, the conversation about Prince Aqua quickly fade into the background.
Back when you played the game, the players made countless theories about the queen—but none of them was ever confirmed by the developers. Even on Aqua’s route, every question about her had been left unanswered. Leo, too, always avoided the topic whenever it came up.
It's strange to say the least, considering both are the late-queen's children.
You let out a huff and looked over the window to see the the royal castle coming into the view. The full moon was high in the sky, casting a pale silver glow over the castle’s towering build. Your eyes widened at the sight.
It's beautiful... even better than the game's CG...
Sadly, you didn't have enough time to gawk at the palace when your mother quickly brought you back to reality.
"Oh, my, it seems like we've arrived," your mother said as the carriage comes into a halt before the royal palace. She looked over at you and Lilian with a smile, "Remember, tonight, you are daughters of the Duke. Walk with grace, speak with courtesy, and carry yourselves with dignity,"
Her expression shift from a soft into a tight look, "Don't ever forget that,"
"Yes, mother," both you and Lilian answered simultaneously, lowering your heads. The carriage door swung opened by the palace's butler, allowing the cool air of the night to rush in. One by one, everyone exited the carriage.
Your parents moved ahead of you with your mother holding onto your father’s arm as they walked together with composed elegance. The way they walked, the expression they showed, and the aura they seem to possessed; you find your lips suddenly turning dry as the desert.
As expected from a ducal family, they are on a different league!
"Shall we enter, too, dear sister?" Lilian suddenly asked beside you, intertwining both of your hands together. You looked over to her, just to see her with her protagonist-worthy of a smile plastered all over her face.
Lilian...
You gripped her hand in response, "We shall,"
***
I can't take this anymore...
You politely smile at the countess who has been blabbering about her new business for the past 10 minutes. Your family had barely stepped into the hall before nobles swarmed you with their latest activity, and somehow this woman outpaced them all. Ever since Leo ended the war with Sage Kingdom, new trade routes have been established, and she had wasted no time importing tea into Light Kingdom—an opportunity she now flaunted with amazing amount of enthusiasm.
Unfortunately, she chose the perfect moment to show off—nobles began flocking around you, nodding along and trapping you deeper in this circle of hell.
"What a magnificent idea, countess!" A baron exclaimed condescendingly, cutting through her explanation as he clapped with both of his hands, pulling every eyes onto him. His eyes looking straight at the countess with malice and a sprinkle of superiority.
"This 'tea' sounds... interesting, but how could it compete with our traditional, locally sourced and farmed coffee beans? Young lady such as you should stay at home and brew coffee for your husband rather than dabbling into business. Oh, I do apologize for my difficult choice of words! Do... you have any idea what 'business' means?" The baron asked with a condescending tone, earning a few chuckles from the men around him while the ladies glared at him through their fans with their gritted teeth.
Ah, I remember him now.
I quickly pull out my fan and starts to cover half of my face, silently judging him in the midst of the commotion.
August Cliff—a old baron who rules a moderate land in the south and the owner of the biggest coffee beans production in the Light Kingdom—it's no wonder he would trample the countess' idea of opening a tea business in a coffee-dominated market.
The countess, as a response, smiled politely at the baron. Afterall, she was once a daughter of a low viscount and was forced into a loveless marriage for political benefits.
Things such as titles, estates, fortunes are passed between men like inheritance; a lady’s contribution to the kingdom was rarely written with ink.
She has nothing but a title.
You remember how In the game's introduction, right at this moment, Lilian would jump and defend the countess, ultimately shamed Henry and his fellow friends while simultaneously gained a few noble's praises and Arthur's attention across the room.
You recalled on the game's content; no matter which route the player chose, Lilian will and always defend the countess at this moment, resulting in her gaining a new friend and ally and thus, supporting the countess' efforts to introduce tea into the kingdom.
If I'm not mistaken, Lilian will say something right now... How did it went again...? Wait, should I step back and let her have the spotlight?!
In a moment of panic, you closed your fan with a snap, pulling every heads towards you. Before you can say anything, the lovely voice of your twin sister cuts through.
"Don't the baron think that it’s time for the kingdom to expand its palate… as well as its thinking? The war has end with new trade routes have opened and it's giving our kingdom the opportunity to expand and explore. May I assume that the baron believe Light Kingdom is too fragile to welcome something that isn't grown in his own fields?"
Now every heads turned towards Lilian who is marching towards him with a determined look. You let out a soft sigh at the situation.
Thank god Lilian decided to interfere with the situation... I should really step back and let her shine at this moment. Arthur should be here somewhere and I need to avoid that crazy scholar before I end up as his guinea pig.
Step by step, you walked away from the group, yet your eyes couldn't believe how bright Lilian look like under the chandelier.
The way she walk, the way she smile, the way she carry insert herself oh-so-naturally into a conversation—it was effortless, as if she was a magnet and she pulls people in naturally.
You smile bitterly.
Yes, this is how it's supposed to be.
***
After the commotion with the baron—who just left with other gentlemen with his tail tucked between his legs—I looked over at the countess who had let go of her wrinkled dress.
"Are you unharmed, countess...?"
The countess snapped out from her anger and immediately tidy up her wrinkled dress, "I'm unharmed, Lady Lilian, but oh, I can't help but to notice how you handled the matter with admirable composure! Such elegance!" she praised, making all the heat from my body rush into my cheeks. It's not like I often received compliments and praises from other ladies in the society, I can't help but to feel embarrassed.
I let out a soft cough to cover it up, "I believe we, as the ladies in this society, should protect and support one another. His remarks regarding your business plan were uncalled for—indeed, quite uncouth!" Other ladies who listened to the countess earlier now drew nearer with their fans half-lowered and curiosity bright in their eyes.
"My! I never knew Lady Lilian is such a formidable lady! It's very soothing to see one of ourself stands up for another. These... gentlemen are ought to be put into their place every once in a while," the countess grumbled at the end, earning giggles from the surrounding ladies.
I'm glad the commotion with the baron ended but now I'm stuck with these ladies talking and praising me...
Is this what Ophelia feel every single time...?
This feels... exhausting and I feel trapped.
Now that I think about it, where is she?
I subtly look around my area while nodding along the ladies' praises, trying to find my eldest sister, but there's no sign of her anywhere in the crowd.
It's... as if she had disappeared into thin air.
The feeling of anxiety starts to grow in my heart, and in result, I bit my own tongue gently to try calm myself down.
Before I can excuse myself to find her, the ladies stops talking and gawk at me. I was about to open my mouth but I realized there's another shadow stretching long across the marble floor, cast by the chandelier’s glow.
Precisely, he's behind me.
I slowly turn around and found Aqua stands there—composed, tall with his unreadable expression. I wanted to gasp, I mean it's not like you see Aqua wearing a formal attire every day.
The black suit fit him perfectly, tailored perfectly to his tall frame. Silver embroidery traced the edges of his coat, subtle but unmistakably regal.
And that clover shaped locket that he wears proudly shines brightly under the light.
He offers a small bow, as if he's trying not to gain any attention at the moment.
"Ladies,” he says smoothly, his voice low enough for us to hear, "Forgive the intrusion."
The air quickly shifts. Other ladies lower their gazes and gave Aqua a curtsy, clearly trying to hide their shock from the sight.
I knew I had to curtsy, just like the other ladies, but at this moment, I can't bring myself to do the same. It's as if I can hear a distant toll of a great clock—counting down to something I cannot escape, and thus freezing my body in this position.
His eyes quickly settle on me.
"Lady Lilian," he continued, "It's regarding Lady Ophelia,"
Aqua then offered me his gloved hand as his eyes still looking at no one but me.
For other ladies, his words seems simple and harmless.
But I knew it's just a petty excuse for him to summon me.
***
"You've grown up, dear Lilian,"
That's the first thing the king said when I entered his chambers with Aqua on my side.
"I humbly greet the sun of the Light Kingdom. May your health-”
"That will do, Lilian," the king interrupted with a faint chuckle, dismissing me with a small wave of his hand. The butler next to him—Butler Claude who have accompanied the king from his childhood—quickly gave him a glass of water which the king took them with his trembling hands and slowly sips the content up.
I released my skirt and straightened myself, looking at the frail old king lying in his bed. It's a bit surprising to see his face is now lined with deep wrinkles and his once-full cheeks now sagging with age.
I blinked, trying to mask the sadness that's about to plaster all over my face.
I know his health is declining from these past few years but seeing him struggling to hold a glass is... heart-breaking to say the least.
I close my eyes and imagine the time where he would give me plenty of desserts when I visit the palace with Ophelia and father on that one day during our childhood; the king was full of life and radiance as he feed me pudding from his own hands, shocking my father and nearly pushed my mother into a shock when she heard the news.
Stop, I have to focus!
I know I have to be honest to myself, I have a bad feeling ever since I found that letter in my room the other day.
And the fact that I'm now in a room with the royal family in the king's personal chamber screams everything but safe.
Leo—who was leaning against the chamber's door with his arms wrapped around his body—sigh and with one hand, mess his hair up. "Is there any reason why you called the 3 of us here? On the day of the ball itself? Surely you don't summon us for a quick chit chat,"
My eyes widened at Leo's casual words, especially one that's directed to the ruler of this kingdom and his father. I wanted to tell Leo to calm down—you can't just be casual and borderline rude to someone like that! And he's your father too!
But I forced myself to keep my mouth shut when I saw one of his hand gripping his attire like his life depended on it.
He seems... restless. Did anything happen?
The king said nothing. He just gave his empty glass to Claude and turned to us.
No—towards me.
His eyes is weirdly focus at my face, as if he's studying me.
But it feels like he's looking at someone else...
"Cut the creepy gaze, ol' man. You're too old to have another wife anyway," Aqua's voice suddenly cut through the thick silence. Leo let out a muffled cough while I released a long sigh of defeat. These brothers are really 2 peas in a pod, huh?
I know I have to say something sooner or later so I guess this is my cue.
"The letter I found on my bedpost... May I assume Your Majesty has summoned me to discuss the content inside?"
The king chuckled softly.
“Yes,”
"Hold up, what do you mean a letter?" Leo cut, sounding both intrigued and suspicious.
The king's eyes flickered briefly towards his first son before returning to me.
“Leo's engagement to Ophelia ten years ago was never meant to happen,”
I felt a chill run down my spine.
So my intuition was right. Don't tell me-
"You can't be serious, ol' man!" Aqua shouted, his face flushed red.
Leo quickly walked to the king's bed.
"Are you saying that my engagement with Ophelia was a mistake?!"
From the corner of my eyes, I notice how Leo looks so shaken and confused. His hand hovered near the hilt of his sword and his fingers is twitching as if he might draw it at any moment.
Is he going to do what I think he's going to do?
“…Your Majesty,” I said carefully, trying to swallow the lump in my throat, “What... exactly do you mean by that?”
Despite the wild statement he just dropped, the king looked as composed as ever, yet his eyes never left mine.
The king sighed.
"It was long before I married Catherine... I've met a woman, you see," The king said, crawling slowly to his nightstand. "She was beautiful, clever, and simply enchanting. In short, I fell in love with her."
Catherine... the former queen. She passed away a few years after giving birth to Aqua...
"I used to sneak out of the palace to meet her near the slums. She would wait there for me, and we would walk around the town doing everything I couldn't do as a prince," He continued, his hand now opening a drawer and rummaging through its content.
"I wanted to run away with her. I... loved her, and she... loved me too,"
The king pulled out an old notebook and opened it up. He flipped through page after page of handwritten entries before stopping somewhere near the middle. His eyes now fixated on something else.
And there it was, a small portrait of a unknown woman.
Specifically, a woman with white hair.
Similar to me.
"You see, Lilian," the king continues, this time with a trembling voice, "I fell in love with a woman with white hair. Legends said that they are a bad omen but I have never believed it. After all, it was just a legend, who could prove such baseless claim?"
His fingers traced the edges of the portrait slowly, as if he's trying to recall all the events.
"If the kingdom knew their crown prince fell in love with a white-hair commoner, what would happen...?" the king asked, but no one dared to answer.
Because all of us knew what the answer would be.
"I am sorry to hear that," I said, breaking the silence as I put a hand on my chest, showing my sincere condolences. "But may I ask what does your past have to do with Prince Leo and Ophelia's engagement?
The king closed his book before he stared up at the ceiling as he now lay on his back.
"My mother lost her womb after giving birth to me. Raised in a difficult time of war and famine, she did everything in her power to ensure I would inherit the throne. The day I wanted to run away... she ambushed us and struck her down with a sword, and forced me into a marriage with Catherine on the very next day,"
The king let out a pitiful sob.
"Only then did I realized Catherine was in the same position as me—stuck in a loveless marriage, we promised that we would fulfill our royal duty and stay out of each other's ways. When you and Ophelia was born a year after Leo, I saw your hair and I knew... I knew you had to marry-"
"Have you lost your mind?!" Leo shouted, rudely cutting the king off.
"This is to atone my sins-"
"Forcing a marriage just because she reminds you of your past lover is insane! Lilian is her own person and she's not her!" this time, Aqua shouted back.
The room quickly fell into a terrifying silence.
I know Aqua is wilder than Leo but pointing out the elephant in the king's room is crazy—even for him.
The king, as a response, let out a strained laugh, "But alas, even Catherine betrayed me at the end. The moment Catherine knew about the original decree, Catherine stole it. Catherine screamed at me, telling me that I have lost all rationality, and forcing my guilt into a baby is not what a king should do,"
"Well, she's kinda right about that," Aqua quietly scoff under his breath.
"Catherine said how what I was doing break this kingdom's laws and with our fragile position in the war, we could lose everything..."
His fingers tightened weakly against the sheets.
"Catherine burned the decree... Catherine told me to rest, to remember how my mother is still watching and ruling in the court,"
Claude immediately step in, "Your majesty, it's almost time,"
The king nods as he slowly tries to sit down on the bed. "I still remember how Catherine said that I can't control everything, and I should wait until the kingdom stabilize before doing anything reckless,"
A faint breath left him—something between a scoff and a sigh.
"So I changed the decree."
The king slowly moves sits on the edge of his bed, "Catherine didn't say anything, but I knew she was hiding her suspicions,"
A slight pause.
"But my mother... what a cunning fox she is," the king somewhat praised and cursed her at the same time.
"She praised me for my judgement, saying the ducal family will strengthen the crown and tie both family together—a necessary decision for the kingdom, a fitting decision for a king,"
The king let out another sob, "A king, huh?"
The king quickly stood up from his bed and Claude immediately dress him in an imperial robe, one that's designed specifically for the king.
"Then Catherine was found guilty of murdering my mother," the king stated with a bored tone.
I gasped at his sudden statement.
"Wow, what a convenient conclusion," Aqua muttered, yet the king didn't react.
"Catherine was forced into this marriage to strengthen the royal family's position during the war," the king continued, as if he's reciting an old fairy tale.
"It is only natural Catherine would resent the one who arranged it,"
His gaze harden briefly—just for a moment.
“And remove her.”
Leo suddenly speaks up, "Do you really expect us to believe that?" His fiery gaze locked onto the king, while he glance at Leo from the corner of his eyes.
"Let's be honest," Leo continued, his voice now going lower, "The only person who would benefit by having 2 obstacles removed would be you,"
A grin spread across the king's face.
"Executing Catherine would have been… inconvenient," the king answered lightly, "So I sentenced her to be locked in a tower, afterall, death would have been too merciful,"
After that short exchange, Claude steps back and walked towards the king's dresser, taking the king's crown before walking back to him.
The king looked at his robe and let out a quiet, bitter laugh.
"All this gold... all this lands... my mother would be proud to see the king I’ve become."
Claude quickly put the crown on the king and bowed. "Your majesty, it's time,"
With his head held high and robes heavy with gold, the king walks with Claude and stops in front of Leo, looking at his eyes and raised his hand to caress his cheek.
"Leo, you're my one and only son," the king solemnly said, "You carry my blood… my crown… and all the mistakes I made. You—my son—must not repeat them. I will overturn the decree. Not for yourself, but because I know what must be done and... I see myself in you. You cannot be anything else,"
After he said that, the king pulls his hand away and walked towards the door, leaving the 3 of us behind.
I couldn’t shake the feeling he'd been speaking to Leo—or to himself, especially with Leo standing there, like a mirror of his father.
Author's Note: ok so I know I should've make this chapter about Arthur... but I think I need to postpone him till the next chapter.
AND THE BEAN IS FINALLY OUT FROM THE BAG LMAOOO I want to know everyone's opinion about this chapter so bad because I had to rewrite most of the plot and tackle the plot holes I've found after 2 months of drafting and planning.
If yall are wondering, "why is the king is such an ass?" well I'm glad I'm able to paint him as a scummy ass lmao.

I only found your stories today, and I have to say I’m so happy to wait until you feel better to return! Your brain is so freaking cool, and I adore the isekai yandere storyline you’re crafting! Please, take care of yourself 💛
God, ngl I completely forgot to open my inbox request after so long and omg thank you so much for your kind words 😭 I'm still mentally exhausted but thank god I can write fanfics now (I couldn't even write anything because of how depressed and busy I am these past few months)
I'm glad a lot of people love my yandere isekai storyline (I swear I thought I'm gonna make 3 part story and leave the ending up to everyone's intepretation but seeing a lot of people loving and supporting my work fuels my creative juices and made me rework my original idea)
Spoiler? Perhaps?
I thought of using the usual otome isekai plot device like there's church, pope, magic (That's why the original game is called "Enchanted Hearts!) And 'chosen by the god/godess' trope but then I was like, "Nah, that's too complex and frankly, why make the male leads infatuated with you because of magic? That's so freaking basic; most IO storyline have that,"
But then the draft I've made for the next chapter are everything but simple 😭
It's gonna be full of problems and finally, FINALLY, I can write about Arthur (part 4) because he deserves a dedicated chapter (guys, he's not as horrible as you think he is) and the northern duke (Duke Onyx Aldric) will also have a dedicated part (part 5) and this series is gonna end somewhere along part 7 or 8 with an open ending.
Please strap in because the overall plot from now on is gonna be an emotional roller coaster (everyone is in a lose-lose situation, maybe) lmaooo
Ok that's for the spoiler yall. Please keep supporting me and my work! I love you guys so much 🫶🫶
Thinking about YANDERE! Male Leads from an Otome Game...
Yandere! Male leads! X Isekaied! Female! Reader < pt. 3 >
Recap: Everyone's paddle hanged midair for a few seconds before they put it down and soon, no one dared to speak. You let out a relief sigh—thinking it's all settled—before someone else raised their wooden paddle.
"160.000 gold coins," a calm and particular voice cut through the silence.
You swore you can feel your heart stopped.
You quickly turned your head to the said person, who sat quite near to the stage.
You don't have to see his face before knowing that you're fighting against Arthur Percy—just to buy Willow.
This is not gonna end well.
As soon as Arthur raised the price for Willow, you know you're starting a war with the infamous scholar—Arthur Percy. You and Arthur kept driving the price higher, determined to outbid the other.
Everyone in the auction house are now witnessing the scene with high anticipation, clearly interested on who's going to win this battle. In midst of the bidding, Julian pulled your cloak slightly, trying to get your attention discreetly, "The price is getting higher and higher, are you sure you're able to pay?"
"230.000 gold coins," Arthur said calmly as he raised his numbered wooden paddle, igniting loud whispers from the rest of the audience. The butler's eyes brightened even more, "230.000 gold coins from number 13 over here! Anyone else?" He asked with a loud voice, looking around the room.
At the same time, you whispered—just loud enough for Julian to hear, "I need to get that kid, Julian. It doesn't matter how much I have to pay—I want to free him," And thus, Julian's hand on your cloak slowly releases its grip. Julian then sighed so soft you could barely hear it.
"Why?" He asked, tone indescribable.
Without turning to Julian, you asked back, "Isn't that the right thing to do?" then raised the price even higher, "250.000 gold coins!" Your words erupting more whispers from everyone.
"270.000 gold coins," Arthur bid again, his tone unchanged.
You bit your lip in frustration, not wanting to lose to Arthur in a silly bidding. Still, you couldn't stop yourself from pushing forward—hoping that Arthur, the most stubborn and relentless male lead out of the five, would finally back down.
Yandere! Guild Leader's eyes—locked onto your determined expression—soon turned to his fingers. Even in the cold room, he could subtly feel your warmth—despite only touching a small part of your cloak. He then absentmindedly brushed his own fingertips, as if he's savoring the remaining, yet fading, warmth.
Yandere! Guild Leader closed his eyes, replaying all of your words.
"I need to you to bring me to Light Kingdom"
"I-I don't want any of this! This stupid title, my fiance, the land, the honor, the legacy, everything! I just want to escape..."
"I'm sorry for lashing out..."
"Oh, please, both of us are hypocrites. You run this market so you can feed your guild and the commoners who is starving to death in a random alley. I'm going to buy that child and free him—end of story. We already have blood in your hands and it's better to admit we're a part of this corrupted cycle than to pretend that you don't, so deal with it!"
"Isn't that the right thing to do?"
Yandere! Guild Leader will admit; you're different than the nobles he had met. You're unique, weird, yet somehow you are all he can think of.
Well, it didn't take long for Julian to make his own conclusion.
The nobles—especially the royal family—are rotten to the core. Finding a kind-hearted noble is like trying to find a needle in a stack of hay. Julian has thrown away all of his expectation and hope when the judge ruled his parent's death as an accident and let the perpetrator loose.
Since then, Julian had vowed never to trust a noble again.
And yet—here you are.
Speaking of freedom, not power.
Willing to pay, not to control, but to help.
Every word you said, every action you made, every expression you showed; Julian wish he can trust you. Just this once, he wanted to believe in someone—anyone—and not get disappointed in the end.
So, don't make him regret his next decision.
Julian steadily raised his paddle, "600.000 gold coins," His voice echoed through the room. Everyone, including you, was stunned by his words. You quickly turned to him, shocked from both of his words and his actions.
600.000 gold coins? That's more than what he got than the Cross couple spent to get Lilian back!
You grit your teeth, "Julian, what are you-"
The butler raised the gavel. "600,000 gold coins. Going once..." You quickly turned your head to Arthur's position, breath stuck when you saw that he still has his left hand gripping the paddle.
"Going twice..." Then, Arthur's hand slowly loosened, while beads of sweat started to fall from your forehead.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Sold to number 17!"

After the auction, a member of Underworld brought you and Julian to a room behind the stage. It wasn't a big nor exquisite room, but a modest one—there are 2 long sofas, a coffee table, and a random flower in a vase. Both you and Julian sat facing each other with tight lips—you weren't sure what to say and Julian wanted some quiet.
You looked down to your hand, caught yourself unconsciously playing with your fingers. Many thoughts ran on your head but you can't grasp onto any of them. You didn't expect Julian to step up and buy Willow right in front of your face.
"Why?" You asked in a soft tone, gaining Julian's attention. Without moving his head, his eyes traveled to your figure. "Why did you buy Willow?" You asked again, this time in a louder tone.
Julian let out a scoff, "Well, I wanted to," He answered with an unreadable expression, resulting in you looking at him with a confused and insulted expression.
"What are you-"
However, the sound of knocking interrupted your conversation and the door opened, showing a member of Underworld and Willow standing.
"Master, I've brought him," The person said as he pushed Willow gently on the shoulder, then closed the door, giving the trio some space.
Willow stood there while staring at the floor, looking as lifeless as he was during the auction. Your heart squeezed at the sight of him—battered, tired, as if he already gave up on his life. You can't imagine how much he had suffered and endured all this time.
Before you realized it, your legs had already carried you from the sofa to him. With each step you took, your eyes stayed glued to Willow, afraid that if you looked away, he'll disappear. You kneeled in front of him, trying to look at his eyes.
"Willow...?" you whispered.
He didn't move, didn’t flinch, nor did he reply. WIllow kept staring at the floor mindlessly. Only the shallow rise and fall of his chest proved he is still alive.
You bit the bottom of your lips gently.
"It seems like he's broken," Julian remarked, his eyes fixed on Willow as well.
You turned your head and shot him a disgusted glare, in which he just shrugged as a response, as if he's describing this morning weather.
Who would say such a thing? He's a damn kid!
You quickly turn to Willow and slowly reach out your hand. "Can... I hold you?" you asked Willow as gentle as possible. The fact that he didn't react at all—not even a twitch—sent a sharp ache through your chest.
This is the real life now... you thought, both of your hands slowly reaching up towards him. This is not a game, nor a lucid dream, (Y/n), this is reality...
"Please excuse me, Willow," you pulled him into a hug, pushing his head to rest on your shoulder as you wrapped your hands around his slim figure.
"You're safe now, Willow... You can rest now," You softly whispered as you missed a tear that fell from Willow's eye.
***
Don't worry about the gold I spent on Willow. We'll meet at the royal ball soon and I'll personally escort both you and Willow to Light Kingdom. Rest assured that both of you will be safe throughout the journey.
Yours Truly,
Julian Caelis.
You exhale a sigh of relief as you toss a small letter sent by one of Julian's assistant to the fireplace in your room, knowing you'll be free from the upcoming nightmare soon.
Leaving everything—your home, your parents, the privileges of being the crown princess—will be a shame, but everytime you think about the horrible endings, a huge wave of nausea hits you like a truck.
You glanced into the fire place, examining the fire that slowly burning the letter into ashes, but a soft knock at the door quickly pulls your attention away.
"Lady Ophelia, I've brought Willow," Maria's voice coming from the door.
"Come in," you said, now standing straight as you brush off any excess ashes on your dress.
The door swings open to reveal Maria looking as calm as ever. Behind her is Willow in a butler's uniform, trying to stand straight and look as composed as Maria. It's hard to miss but Willow now has more rosiness on his cheeks, making you smile at the sight.
"I've cleaned and dressed Willow as per your instruction, my lady," Maria stoically said as she closes the door. Maria then turned to Willow and pushed his figure towards you gently, "Try greeting your lady, WIllow, just like how I taught you this morning," She said in a motherly tone, giving Willow a small but sincere smile.
Willow looked at Maria with a concerned expression, as if he were afraid to mess up. Maria, in return, nodded softly at him, and Willow glanced at you before stepping forward and bowing stiffly.
"G-Good evening, Lady Ophelia. I am to attend you as your personal servant, my lady. I shall be at your service.”
You bit your bottom lips slightly, trying your best not to hug the stuttering and blushing mess of a boy. In the corner of your eyes, you can Maria bit her bottom lips too, trying to contain the laughter that's about to escape her chest.
You let out a polite cough and try to put on a strict and cold tone.
"You're here, Willow," You commented—in a harsher tone than you expected—as your eyes inspected Willow from head to toe from a distance, making Willow freeze. You let out a soft hum for a few seconds before clapping your hands, pulling both Maria and Willow's attention.
"Maria, you are dismissed for the day," you said as you waved your hand, your eyes still fixed on Willow. Maria blinked with surprise but quickly bowed and left, likely pleased at the thought of an early rest.
You walked toward the table when Willow suddenly exclaimed, "L-Let me do it for you, my lady!" he hurried to a chair and pulled it back, but stopped and glanced at you warily. "Uh… Maria taught me the basics..."
You let out a small chuckle before sitting down on the chair Willow pulled for you.
"Willow, sit down," you said, tone sounding more serious and concerned—a huge contrast from the happy expression you just showed.
"I need to tell you something,"
***
At the same time, a young white-haired lady sat beside the window, her eyes fixed on a shabby letter.
Just a few hours earlier, she had been happily cleaning her room—the maids of Cross Manor had tried to change her mind, but she had insisted—when she discovered a letter stuck to one of the bed’s endposts.
She knew Cross Manor was guarded day and night, both inside and out; it was impossible to imagine how someone could have slipped such a letter into a lady’s room.
Her breath hitched in her throat.
Or worse—someone had been placed there deliberately.
But who?
Despite her innocent, outgoing demeanor, Lilian Cross was far more observant than most people believed. She sighed as her brain starts listing everyone whom she believed to visit her chambers these past few days, where she soon got a headache from thinking too much.
Lilian then took and the letter between her fingers, examining the shabby exterior and thinking it's almost ordinary. Lilian moved the letter slightly every few seconds, studying the deep red wax from different angles. She couldn't make out the crest or any symbols on the wax seal.
With a mix of curiosity and dread, Lilian took a small knife and with a careful twist, she sliced through the seal, releasing a faint scent that made her catch her breath.
As she opened the letter, her eyes immediately recognized the paper inside and the difference between the content and the cover. Despite the dirty and old cover, the paper inside was thick and smooth, the kind used only for official events and gatherings, and the ink glinted slightly under the sunset.
A faint cent drifted from the page—rich, musky, and familiar. Lilian blinked, now confused. It was the kind of smell she had once caught only in the presence of the king himself.
Whoever had sent this wanted the weight of authority known, but without drawing suspicion, especially with her elder sister, Lady Ophelia Cross, has been betrothed to the crown prince for quite some time now.
As she put down the letter to the table, her mind was spinning—why?
Her breath hitched as she read the words written in a messy handwriting. The contents of the letter were startling, far more troubling than she could have guessed, and a soft gasp escaped her lips.
She pulled the letter closer to her eyes, trying to make sense out of everything.

Thinking about YANDERE! Male Leads from an Otome Game...
Yandere! Male leads! X Isekaied! Female! Reader < pt. 2 >
15 days until the start of the game and all you could do is to read books to gather as much information as possible. You let out a quiet sigh as you opened a small journal, gifted by Aqua before he left after sneaking into Cross Manor to visit you.
I have to list down the plot, the male leads and my endings… I have to stay alive, even if it means disturbing the world and its peace. Your steady hand took a quill and started writing.
Leo Roselle (The Crown Prince) : Burnt at the stake
Aqua Roselle (The Second Prince) : Fed Ophelia to a pack of hungry wolves
Arthur Percy (The Scholar) : Imprisonment (Test subject)
Julian Caelis (The Underworld’s Leader) : Stranded in Light Kingdom
Onyx Aldric (The Northern Duke) : Framed and publicly executed
You set your quill pen down and glanced over the list one more time. Eyes scanning through every name, title, and your ending. You groaned as you massaged your forehead.
These male leads are fucking insane, you thought to yourself with both of your eyes closed.
Every ending for Ophelia is brutal. How did Lilian charm and steal the crown prince—Ophelia's own fiancé? Heck, she is the villainess in Ophelia's life!
You opened your eyes again, scanning the list of names in hopelessness before your eyes stopped at 1 particular name.
Julian Caelis.
If I’m not mistaken, he's the leader and owner of a hidden guild called Underworld—a guild that specializes in shady business, assassinations, and any black market auction. Such man with power and authority, yet his last action towards Ophelia was leaving her stranded in the Light Kingdom?
It’s too light.
Too merciful.
Wait.
Perhaps finding Julian before the main story starts might help you! Out of all male leads in Enchanted Hearts! Julian's ending for Ophelia is the most merciful and Ophelia, despite being stranded in another kingdom, will still be alive. With that being said, Julian's route is far more merciful than Arthur's as you still remembered the scene when Arthur turned Ophelia into his personal test subject, and how proud he was when he presented her broken state to Lilian with a sick smile on his face.
You stood up so quickly the chair nearly toppled over, your hands clutching the journal as your eyes locked on Julian's name.
This is it, this is your first step towards freedom!
However, a soft knock startled you, “Lady Ophelia, I've brought your tea,” came Maria’s gentle voice behind the door.
You whipped your head towards the door, quickly hiding the journal behind your back. Clearing your throat, you straighten your posture and tried to put on the calmest expression you could make.
“Very well, Maria. You may come in,” you replied, trying to sound as composed as the original Ophelia, inside cursing yourself for failing miserably.
The door opens and Maria walks in with a tray of tea. Your eyes locked on Maria as she calmly puts down the tea on your desk, while your hand clutches the journal even tighter.
I need to find Julian.
And I need to get out from this place.
***
That being said, finding Julian is no easy feat.
In his route, Lilian was kidnapped during an outing with her mother, right after being declared as the new crown princess, and soon declared missing after days of unsuccessful searching—even after the royal family and Leo himself got involved in the investigation, no clues has been found. The capital was searched from top to bottom, even other cities in the kingdom wasn't spared from the royal family's investigation.
In a moment of desperation, Ophelia suggested seeking help from the Underworld as a last resort. With no other leads left, her parents agree with her—anything was better than silence.
It took months just to uncover the whereabouts of the Underworld's hidden leader. Even as they searched for him, they never stopped searching for Lilian, still believe that their daughter is still alive. When they finally met Julian, the Cross family had to pay a huge price, which was an astonishing amount of 550,000 gold coins.
An amount equivalent to a commoner's wage for a century.
Your parents, desperate to have their precious youngest daughter back, paid the full amount and begged the leader to find and bring Lilian back. Julian, in return, took the coins and promised he would bring Lilian back the same night.
Your parents was desperate, but they were skeptical of Julian's words; how could someone possibly find a missing noble's daughter and bring her back at the same night? It's impossible! Even with Underworld's infamous reputation amongst the nobles and royal family for being reliable, the thought is simply absurd.
However, when they get back to the manor after visiting Julian, the couple was shocked to see the house in disarray. The Head Butler. Sr. Sebastian—with sobs and snots—told the couple that their youngest daughter, Lilian Cross, is found sleeping soundly in her room with no sign of struggle and trauma.
***
It wasn't revealed until the end of Julian's route that Julian—who was moved by Lilian's kindness and softness towards commoners and of course, him, who was in a disguise—immediately knocked her unconscious and took her away.
Their first meeting was on the party of Lilian's surprise coronation, where Julian sneaked into the palace and disguised as a butler for information. Lilian, after getting crowned as the new crown princess—was cornered by lots of nobles, trying to butter her up—where she accidentally bumped into Julian and stained his uniform.
And yet, Lilian apologized first to him.
Him, who was disguising as a butler.
It was an eye-opening experience for confused Julian.
The next day, Julian met her Lilian again during an outing of her with her mother on a random street. The Duchess was buying a handful of bread and pastries from a local bakery, while Lilian handed them out to commoners and the needy nearby.
Julian, once again, was intrigued.
He decided to kidnapped her and kept her hidden within his place, completely cut her off from the outside world. At first, he had been intrigued by the newly appointed crown princess who apologized to a mere butler.
But then, his curiosity had shifted.
What truly intrigued him was why a noblewoman would show such kindness to those clearly beneath her.
Julian had grown up as a commoner. He had tasted the bitterness of wealth and status differences all his life, and because of that, he couldn't understand what he saw.
Was it pity?
Manipulation?
Strategy?
He don't understand, and he can't.
Julian kept Lilian in his place for months. Not until he received a huge payment from Cross family does he agreed to bring Lilian back reluctantly. Everyone was happy and threw a celebration for her return, but everyone also wondered where she had been.
But Lilian never answered.
She hid the fact that she spent that time with Julian, knowing if the truth comes out, she would be punished for infidelity, destroying her family's name, honor, and simultaneously break the royal family's trust.
And she can't tell the truth that her and heart has shifted from Leo to Julian.
Ophelia and Leo pestered Lilian for her whereabouts relentlessly but they were met with a cold silence, which was unusual for the usual chatter-box Lilian.
It wasn't until Ophelia connected the dots that Underworld's leader has something to do with Lilian's disappearance and confronted her during a family dinner.
And hell broke loose.
Ophelia, who was known to be composed, calm, and collected, lost her composure during this scene; she threw the food all over the floor, broke multiple vases of flowers, and even threw cutleries at Lilian, while screaming profanities and curses towards her younger twin. Both of their parents just sat there, clearly stressed and disappointed.
Lilian, heartbroken from the situation, ran from home and went to Julian's place to find refuge and stay with the love of her life.
At the ending cutscene, Julian told Lilian that she has nothing to worry anymore and has handled everything for her, while Lilian smiled, not knowing her older twin got abandoned at Light Kingdom ever since.
***
Before you left, you requested Maria to find you a black cloak. Fortunately, she didn't ask any questions, simply nodding and preparing one without hesitation. You also gave her strict instructions to guard your bedroom, to turn away any visitors—especially your parents, where Maria obediently obliges.
It was nearly dark now but you know the moment had come. You were ready to sneak away and find Julian.
After 15 mins of walking, you found yourself standing in front of the cashier at the bakery, the same one from Julian's route. Your eyes drift up to the blackboard behind her, scanning the menu before turning your attention back to the cashier, who's waiting for you to place your order.
You take a deep breath, then ask, “May I have your sweetest item, please?”
The cashier quirks her eyebrow. “How sweet are we talking about, Ms.?”
You lean in slightly, with a low voice, “So sweet I could die after I eat it.”
Her smile falters just for a second, before her expression turns serious. “Then, please, follow me.”
Well, that was easy.
It's an unexpected response, but you don't hesitate. You followed her, your heart beating faster with each step, thinking that this is the first step to your freedom. She leads you past the kitchen, where the scent of freshly baked sourdough bread fills the air, then towards a hidden door. She opens it gently before guiding you upstairs.
After getting to the second floor, you're caught off guard—there's only one room and there are no windows. The cashier knocked on the door nine times, with an even timing. “Sr. You have a client,” she announces.
A small moment of silence stretches before a voice from inside responds, cool and calm. “Let her in.” is all Julian said.
The door slowly opens, and she gestures for you to step inside. You whispered a small "Thank you," to the cashier, who was genuinely surprised by your action. before walking straight into the room.
The door closed behind you with a small thud and you swore you could hear someone locking it from inside, but you paid no mind.
So this is one of Julian's bases, you thought, eyes scanning the room.
Shelves lined neatly against the wall, packed with thick and dusty books. A sturdy wooden table sat in the back of the room, filled with quill pens and papers covered in messy numbers and strange symbols. Right in front of you was 2 long chair and a coffee table, presumably for Julian's clients to sit. At first glance, it looked like a workspace for someone who managed the bakery—well, that's what normal people thought.
But you knew better.
"So," You opened your mouth, "Is there any reason you're holding a knife, Julian Caelis?"
A disappointed scoff was heard behind your figure, "What a bummer, I wanted to stab you," Julian said, sighing.
Then both of his hands found your shoulders and gently gripped it, "So what do I owe the pleasure to have the Ophelia Cross in my room today?" He whispered in my ear, this time with a dangerous tone.
***
Julian Caelis—an orphan from birth, abandoned by his real parents when he was a baby. An old couple who was going to close the bakery found him crying helplessly and thus, adopted him as their own. Sadly, both of his adopted parents was killed when a noble was rushing to the palace and the carriage struck and trampled the couple to death. Julian tried to bring justice to his caretaker, but the noble has bribed the judge and thus, ruled it as an accident—which is the start of his deep hatred towards the nobles, thinking everyone is the same; greedy, heartless, and corrupted. After that incident, he slowly build Underworld with his commoner friends and knew that if he can't change the corrupted system, he would take advantage of the nobles with his 'services'.
Age: 20
Birthday: 09/October
Yandere! Guild Leader looked at you with his arms crossed on his chest, clearly suspicious for the crown princess who managed to find one of his bases and also, knows his real name. He can't help but to be suspicious of you.
You ARE Ophelia Cross, but who are you exactly? Julian can't help but to ask silently in his heart.
"You haven't answer my answer yet, princess," He said, with a fake playful tone, clearly wanted this to end quickly.
"I'll cut to the chase, I need your help," You answered seriously.
Yandere! Guild Leader scoff again and threw both of his hands to the back of the sofa, silently noting how some rumors about Ophelia is true. "Which is?" He asked as he tilted his head.
You opened your mouth to reply but then close it again.
Yandere! Guild Leader looked at you who now has widened eyes and trembling palms. Your eyes slowly turned to gaze your lap as the realization finally hits.
You haven't think this far of a plan yet; how can you actually get away from the bad endings? Do you really think that you going to the Light Kingdom will solve everything?
Yandere! Guild Leader then sighed after a few seconds, "It seems like you didn't have any plan," in which you sighed in response and open up your hood, showing your face to him, where Yandere! Guild Leader's breath hitched for split second.
You take a deep breath and place your right hand on your chest, specifically, in front of your heart. You still remembered how in an anime you watched before you die, a certain blond said something along 'Those who can't abandon anything, can't change anything¹'
You've made up your mind, and said, "I need to you to bring me to Light Kingdom," while you looked right into his ruby eyes, voice unwavering.
"Pardon?!"
Yandere! Guild Leader was genuinely baffled at your request. He always strive to maintain a cocky and flirty attitude, sometimes putting on a strict attitude whilst talking to his guild, but your request truly caught him completely off-guard.
Yandere! Guild Leader coughed and quickly hide his shocked tone away, "Why do you need me to bring you to that place? I'm pretty sure your daddy will let you go," Julian said as he rolled his eyes, and his tone emphasizing on the word 'daddy'. "And I'm sure the crown prince is willing to accompany you—you guys are about to get married in a few months afterall and he can't have his fianceé running away now, yea?"
But then, Yandere! Guild Leader's eyes was soon fixated on yours instead, when your mouth now sealed tight and your eyes showed all kind of feelings.
He can sense some sadness, anxiety, and importantly, fear, mixing from you.
It truly baffles him.
And more importantly, he didn't know that you, a noble, can also feel emotions.
The same emotions he felt when he lost his parents that day.
All this time, Yandere! Guild Leader thought was every nobles, no matter how old and position, are money-hungry, selfish beings who doesn't care about others. If they're not sick with greed, then they are filled with murdereous intent—wishing to kill their competitors or sabotage everyone's business but their own.
It seems like you're different from the nobles that came here, Ophelia, Yandere! Guild Leader thought.
But Julian quickly shook the thought away.
Don't let her eyes fool you, dumbass! She could be faking it!
But you've made up your mind, haven't you?
You want to escape the bad endings, you want to stay alive, you want to give yourself a happy ending, even if it meant destroying the world.
Yandere! Guild Leader eyes widened when you then asked, "How much?"
"...What?"
"How much do you need to bring me to Light Kingdom?" You asked, now tears filling up your eyes. "I-I don't want any of this! This stupid title, my fiance, the land, the honor, the legacy, everything! I just want to escape..."
...the bad endings.
You let out a small sob and wipe your tears quickly.
"I'm sorry for lashing out..." you whispered. "I'm just... tired of this... everything is so heavy... I want to run away and live my own life..."
Meanwhile, Yandere! Guild Leader took a deep breath. One of his hand quickly found his fiery head and started messing it up, pulling you out from your sobbings.
Yandere! Guild Leader bit his lower lip, now torn apart from his worldview. You, out of all nobles, showed a different emotion than the those corrupted people he have met in the past. Not to mention, you apologized! To him out of all people!
He wants to stick with his opinion about nobles, he truly does.
But Yandere! Guild Leader also remembered a scene he witnessed a few minutes ago, when you whispered to Pink—who is the secretary of Underworld and a cashier of the same bakery his parents found him at—a small 'thank you'.
Yandere! Guild Leader sighed, and stands up, "Come with me," Julian said, putting his hood back over his head, then headed to the door.
You blinked a few times, surprised at his initial rejection, to now asking you to go somewhere with him.
"W-where?"
Yandere! Guild Leader stands in front of the door, one hand on the handle. "Come with me," Julian repeated and without looking at you, "And your fee will be cut in half,"
***
"An auction house... and a masquerade party?" You asked as you took a seat the furthest from from the stage with Yandere! Guild Leader who already sat beside comfortably beside you. You quickly put on the green mask—given by Julian before entering.
"Correction, princess, this is a black market," Yandere! Guild Leader answered. "The place where people spend their money on lost antiques, illegal items—or even worse—a slave,"
Yandere! Guild Leader then continued, "We promised everyone to keep their identity a secret, so best if you put yours on," After you put on your mask, you look slightly to your right, and in response, Julian turned his head towards you, confused at your lack of response.
"What? Are you surprised that there are human trafficking in this kingdom?"
"No, I'm just wondering why are you brought me here," you replied with a deadpanned expression. You're still wondering why would Julian brought you to an auction house, especially when he was the one who set this black market up! You gripped your wooden paddle tightly, looking at the number "16" carved nicely onto the wood.
Yandere! Guild Leader huffed, "Before you leave, I want to show you something," as he said that, the lights quickly dimmed, and the lights are now focusing on the butler on top of the stage, bowing at the crowds.
"Show me what?"
"Show you what world the so-called nobles has built,"
Before you can even reply, the auction has begun.
It started small—the butler showed various types and colours of gems—the ones which has not been available in the market for years due to monopoly.
Then he moved on to exotic fabrics, to lost paintings, to stolen antiques, and many more priceless items. As more people raised their wooden paddle, the louder everyone gets—everyone wanted to buy something, anything.
At the end of the auction—which is the main attraction for today's event—was a kid called Willow, a male, 13 years old, and was kidnapped from Light Kingdom.
You gasped.
***
The sight of Willow made you remembered a part of the game. In Arthur's route, Lilian accidentally entered his hidden study and found Willow imprisoned there, clearly used as an experiment. Lilian immediately tried to help Willow to get out from the place, but Arthur quickly founds out and killed Willow on the spot.
Enraged at Lilian's action, Arthur took the closest thing to him—which is a thick cover book—then hit Lilian on the back of her head before she can run away, knocking her unconcious.
Soon, Ophelia arrived to bring Lilian home, as Lilian's wedding is scheduled on the next day. After she saw the scene, she barely have time to call for help before Arthur knocked her unconcious too. Pissed as he lost a valuable test subject, he decided to take Ophelia as a new one and dispose Willow's body hastily.
When Lilian wakes up, she has lost all of her memories, and royal family has no choice but cancel the wedding.
News spreas quickly after that. Everyone believed that Ophelia had fled out of guilt—as they thought Ophelia struck Lilian first—and wants to escape her punishment. No one knew that Ophelia never escaped at all; until Arthur brought Lilian to the same study again and showed her Ophelia's broken state, before the game cut into their credit scene.
***
You whispered, "I want him,"
Yandere! Guild Leader raised one of his eyebrows, "So you're just the same as them, huh?" Julian mocked, silently regretting bringing you here as he thought you were different. "Buying slaves, break them, and dispose them like they were never alive in the first place. You people are disgusting,"
You looked at him sharply, "Weren't you the one who organized this auction in the first place?"
"These nobles wanted a place," Yandere! Guild Leader answered coldly, eyes still locked to the stage. "Underworld provided one,"
You rolled your eye then snapped, "Oh, please, both of us are hypocrites. You run this market so you can feed your guild and the commoners who is starving to death in a random alley. I'm going to buy that child and free him—end of story. We already have blood in your hands and it's better to admit we're a part of this corrupted cycle than to pretend that you don't, so deal with it!"
Yandere! Guild Leader's expression turned into something new, but your attention quickly pulled back when lots of people are raising their wooden paddle and shouting their prices, clearly interested in buying Willow.
You gripped your woodle paddle and raised it high, you shouted, "150.000 gold coins!" The whole room quickly let out multiple gasp—as 150.000 gold coins for a mere slave is NOT worth the price—but the butler's eyes light up at your price, "150.000 gold coins from number 16! Do we have a higher price?" His voice announced for the whole room to hear.
Everyone's paddle hanged midair for a few seconds before they put it down and soon, no one dared to speak.

Thinking about YANDERE! Male Leads from an Otome Game...
Yandere! Male leads! X Isekaied! Female! Reader pt. 1 >
The last thing you remember before getting hit by a truck was holding the newly released “Enchanted Hearts! 2” to your chest, crossing the street with excitement in your step. As you lay bleeding out on the pavement, your gaze drifted to the game’s box that flew from your hand when you got hit. Right before you lost consciousness, you thought, “Damn it. I die before I even get to play the sequel. What a waste of my money,” and close your eyes.
The next thing you know, you woke up in a bed, bigger than you previously had, with people around you. They are frantically wiping their tears away, sobbing at you. Amid the sobbing, a woman in a gaudy red dress and a man in a black-and-red suit suddenly throw themselves at you, hugging you tightly.
“Ophelia, you’re awake!”
“... huh?”
***
So it turns out, I’ve been born into Enchanted Hearts! You thought, touching the mirror in your bathroom as you looked into your reflection.
The black hair, emerald eyes, and a pair of ruby earrings; out of all the characters I could’ve ended up as… Why did I become Ophelia Cross—the villainess of this game?!
Ophelia Cross—the villainess of Enchanted Hearts! Her name is known all across the kingdom as she holds the position of crown princess, the first born of the Duke of the West, and a respectable figure amongst high society. She was known to be a quiet and collected person who prioritizes her brain over her heart.
Age: 18
Birthday: 01/January
You sighed as you realized your situation. Before you can think of anything else, there was a soft knock, and a second later, the bathroom door opened, there Lilian Cross stood, the protagonist of this game.
Lilian Cross—the protagonist of Enchanted Heart! She is known for her playful and cheerful personality, she’s one of the most beloved nobles amongst commoners, despite her white hair. Legends said a white-haired person will always brings bad omen to wherever they go. However, this didn’t let Lilian down, but rather pushes her to try harder and to prove that she, despite what the legends said, is more than just a legend.
Age: 18
Birthday: 01/January
***
Lilian—your twin who was born 3 minutes after you—stood before you with her signature white hair and those unmistakable dew-y emerald-green eyes that's just a mirror of yours. She smiled oh-so-sweet at you, "Are you feeling better now, Ophelia?"
You took a quick breath before looking away, "Yes, I am now well," You replied quietly.
I'm sorry, Lilian, you thought, I can't look you in the eyes without thinking of my impending doom.
You remembered every ending well, you—the villainess—will meet your end. It ranges from exile, imprisonment, or worst of all, a public execution.
Such fitted yet devastating endings for a villainess.
"Well then," Lilian said, capturing your attention as she gently grabbed your hand, "I've been told that the crown prince is visiting today! The house is in chaos as they are preparing for his sudden arrival. Father told us to dress appropriately while mother is arranging a tea party in the rose garden. Come with me, we need to get ready," She explained as she pulled your hand, guiding you out from the bathroom.
You watched how her straight white hair swayed gently as she walked ahead with your hand on hers.
So graceful.
So innocent.
So pure.
But you quickly shook the thought from your head.
How can I act as if I would have my own happy ending, you thought, when you're the one who stole the crown prince—the villainess’s own fiancé—and set the story on the path to her destruction, Lilian?
***
Yandere! Crown Prince stood beside the table, looking exactly as he does in the game. His perfectly styled platinum hair and shimmering golden eyes made him the embodiment of the “perfect prince” and is admired by everyone, both in the real world and within the game.
Yandere! Crown Prince who noticed both you and Lilian walking to his direction; one with a soft smile and another with an indifferent look. A soft smile appeared on his face, glad to see you recovered from a high fever.
Yandere! Crown Prince who quickly ushered you both to sit down after giving your respects and gestured for the maid to pour tea and serve some snacks he had bought, with a picture perfect smile plastered on his face. He dismissed all maids and butlers with a flick of his hand, yet his eyes is still glued on you.
Yandere! Crown Prince then asked, "How are you feeling now, Ophelia? I heard the fever was impossible to cure but I’m happy to see you well!"
You can't help but to hold yourself from running away, knowing the man sitting in front of you is the same person who's going to burn you at a stake for harming his beloved at the end of his route. You took your cup and drank a sip of the Chamomile tea the maids had prepared.
"I am now well, your highness," You replied, suddenly interested in your own tea cup. Both Lilian and Yandere! Crown Prince looked at you, bewildered, before laughing so hard they startled you.
Yandere! Crown Prince wiped some of his tears as he laughed, “What’s with the formality? I thought I gave you both permission to call me Leo, no?”
Leo Roselle—firstborn and crown prince of the Sage Kingdom. Known for being charming yet cunning, soft-spoken yet manipulative, he has already proven himself worthy of his title at the young age of 16 . Leo successfully ended a 100-year war between the Sage Kingdom and its neighbor, the Light Kingdom, bringing peace and opening new trade routes that brings more prosperity for the kingdom.
Age: 19¹
Birthday: 04/August
Lilian, on the other hand, chuckled slightly as she covered her mouth with her hand, her laughter softly escaped her lips.
You looked at both of them laughing, how their laughter echoed through the garden. You can't help but to think how perfect they look together.
Why the hell am I here… you thought, putting the teacup down. The main story will start soon. I should use this opportunity to distance myself and find a way to escape the bad endings.
You stood from your seat then curtsied, “May I be excused, your highness?”
Yandere! Crown Prince looked at you with a concerned look—a look you’ve only seen once in all those times you played Enchanted Hearts! — and asked, “Are you still unwell, Ophelia? Should I bring you back to the manor?” Leo pushed himself and stood up, ready to bring you back.
“I appreciate your concern, your highness,” You replied, standing straight, “But it would be discourteous to leave our honorable guest unattended. Lilian, would you kindly keep His Highness company?” You turned to Lilian, silently begging to the gods up there to just let you leave.
Leo looked at you, then looked at Lilian, who now has a worried look that replaced her laughter as she turned to you.
Yandere! Crown Prince sighed, “Alright, Ophelia, I’ll stay, but it’s because you asked me to. Rest well and get well soon~” You curtsied one last time before turning your back and walking towards the manor. Feeling like the weight on your chest has lifted.
***
I need to get to the library and find a book about this world, you thought as you walked inside the lavishly grand manor. But this place is like a maze! Where the hell am I? You took another left turn, only to walk straight into someone’s chest, making you stumble back slightly.
You touched your nose as you winced in pain.
“Ophelia? Are you okay?” Someone asked.
Your eyes widened as you heard this particular voice; the person who would feed you to a pack of hungry wolves at the end of his route—Aqua Roselle.
What rotten luck. I can’t believe I met 2 male leads in a single day! You took a step back before giving him a curtsy, “I humbly greet-”
“Stop with the formality, Ophelia. Seriously, what has gotten into you?” Aqua quickly cuts you. You stood straight again, gulping before you looked at him.
You take a deep breath; a person with messy brown hair, light blue eyes, and a golden 4-leaf clover shaped locket hanged in front of his chest. I’m not imagining it… It really is Aqua….
Aqua Roselle—the second prince of Sage Kingdom. Unlike his older brother, Aqua has no interest in politics, etiquette, or banquets. With his messy brown hair, light blue eyes, and a seemingly permanent scowl on his face, he’s often found in the training grounds than everywhere else. Everyone describes him as blunt, harsh, and hot-tempered. Even though he lacks the traditional image of a prince; when the kingdom faces civil wars or bandit raids, they will send Aqua to the battlefield, and he always gets the job done.
Age: 17
Birthday: 07/February
“So, why are you here? Weren’t you supposed to be with Lilian and Leo?” Yandere! Second Prince asked, scratching the back of his hair, looking somewhere random while you quickly composed yourself “Why are you here too, A-Aqua?” You asked, silently beating yourself up for stuttering his name. “Lilian did not mention anything about the second prince visiting the Cross Manor,”
“Well, I snuck into the carriage,”
“You what?!”
“I was worried about you, okay?” Yandere! Second Prince exclaimed as a huge red blush appeared on his cheeks and ears, “So? Why are you inside?” He followed-up with another question, trying to distract you from his embarrassing answer, but it came off a bit harsher than he intended.
You frowned at him, “W-well, I started feeling sick… so I decided to get some rest,”
Safe to say you got dragged by Aqua to your chambers.
***
Yandere! Second Prince sighed as he looked at you, “So, your version of resting is reading? Can’t you just rest like a normal person?” You flipped over the book cover and started reading the first page of the history of the kingdom. “And why are we in the library? Can’t we just bring these books to your room?”
You did not respond, too focus on the book you hold.
Yandere! Second Prince sighed again, feeling frustrated at your lack of response. Instead, he glanced at the messily stack of books on your right, scanning every book you gathered, secretly feeling a bit jealous of those inanimate objects taking your precious attention and time.
Yandere! Second Prince clicked on his tongue at the situation.
I clearly liked you first, Ophelia, Aqua complained in his heart. So why does Leo get everything?
Yandere! Second Prince closed his eyes, thinking back on the first day you and Lilian visited the palace. He remembered that day, your father was summoned by the king, and left you and Lilian in the care of the palace's maids and butlers. He was hiding in the garden, trying to escape his etiquette lesson before you suddenly found him crouching behind a bush.
Yandere! Second Prince was heart-struck on that fateful day, as he was sure that you had stolen his heart. He remembered how your black hair flows with the wind, your emerald eyes shining under the sunlight, and how you offer your hand to him, with a simple question.
“Why are you hiding…?”
Yandere! Second Prince doesn’t remember what happened next, but the next thing he knew was him swinging his tiny wooden sword, fighting the air, trying to show you how cool and strong he was. Meanwhile you were sitting on the ground with your back leaning on a tree, clapping your hands excitedly. “You’re so cool, Axel!”
That’s right, he gave you a fake name, not wanting you to treat him differently if you know that he’s a royalty. He’s sick and tired of everyone putting on the same face around him—smiling, pampering him, calling him 'Your Highness'—like it's all genuine.
He knows it's not.
And what bothers him even more is how those same maids and butlers treat Leo differently. Not just with respect, but with real admiration—like he’s somehow... special. He knows Leo is everyone’s favorite.
The better prince.
Yandere! Second Prince remembered that you once said you like “strong men, like Papa!” When he was about to give you his clover shaped locket—an heirloom given by his mother before she passed away—the etiquette instructor and some maids caught him with you. They immediately brought him back to the library, while you were left standing there, dumbfounded.
To this day, Yandere! Second Prince regrets not telling the truth—that he is Aqua, not Axel and the locket he never got to give you still hangs heavy against his chest. He decided to train like crazy and getting stronger, as he remembered your words like a prophecy.
Yandere! Second Prince opened his eyes and smiled softly, grateful just to share this moment with you. Whether it’s a single minute together or a stolen glance from across the room, he’s satisfied with whatever he can have, especially when it comes to you.
On the other hand…
Yandere! Crown Prince bit into one of his nails, clearly frustrated at the sight. Lilian was urgently summoned by her mother and Leo took it as a sign to leave. He was about to visit your chambers before he leave, but he stumbled across the library and peeked into the slightly opened door.
Yandere! Crown Prince felt his blood boiling as he saw his brother, Aqua, sitting in front of you with that dumb smile he had on his face.
All he wanted now was to walk over, tear Aqua away from you, and drag you somewhere far.
Somewhere quiet. Somewhere you could finally understand that no one else could look at you like that but him.
Yandere! Crown Prince’s golden eyes narrowed, watching every small movement between you two. One incident where your knee brushed Aqua’s under the table and how Aqua’s breath hitched when it happened made Leo's grip on the library's handle even stronger, so strong Leo swore he could rip the door from its hinge if he wants to.
Leo realized he's not thinking straight right now, so he took a deep breath, putting on his usual smile back into its place, and walked down the hall.
Leo knows that there would be time where only HE can have you.
He would have you in his arms and this time, he wouldn’t let anyone get in the way, even if it meant he has to destroy the world for his beloved.
Author's Note: Guys this is just 2/5 male leads I'm planning to write. I'll post the 2nd part soon! Thank you so much for your support on my latest fic. I love you guys so much!!
Edit 1 = I've changed Leo's age from 17 to 19 for the plot.
Male! Yandere! Friends with benefits x Female! Reader
Yandere! FWB who is an acquaintance of your roommate, you first met him during your freshman year of university. It was a casual hangout with a few friends that spiraled into something you didn’t see coming.
Yandere! FWB has fluffy blond hair, ocean-deep blue eyes, a striking build that easily stood over 6"1' (186 cm), he could easily become a model if he wanted to. Instead of being cocky or stuck-up, he surprised you with his puppy-like personality.
Yandere! FWB was pretty awkward when it comes to flirting, often telling dumb jokes, and one too many comments about how "insanely tall" he was, as if he didn't know everyone could see it for themselves.
Yandere! FWB is similar to a dog to a bone, he was struck by your nonchalant personality and was glued next to your hip for the rest of the hangout.
At first, it was cute, harmless even.
Until it started to feel a little too… much.
Yandere! FWB still remembered how one second you were there, nodding along with another dumb joke he said, and on another, you were gone! He does recall something about you telling the group that you have an emergency and have to leave immediately. No goodbye, no last glance, no hugs, no "I'll see you around," for him, you just poof and left! Heck, you didn't even give your name to him!
Yandere! FWB who pestered everyone the same night after the hangout.
"Bro, do you know her?"
"Can you give me her number please?"
"Listen man, she said something about an emergency, I just wanna make sure if she's okay,"
Lies.
All of them.
He's not worried, he's desperate.
He wants needs to see you again.
Every time he closes his eyes, he can vividly imagine your tired eyes, your strained laugh, your fingers playing with on another; clearly bored with everything. Every image that flashes through his mind makes him more excited and erratic than before.
Yandere! FWB doesn't know how or why but he couldn't stop thinking about you.
***
It took Yandere! FWB a few days before getting your phone and room number (after pestering your roommate 24/7 (poor girl can't catch a break)) He was delighted and can't wait to see you again!
The next day, Yandere! FWB decided to knock on your door, his hands holding a bouquet of freshly bloomed red roses and some bonbon chocolate from a famous bakery downtown. He made sure to wear his best suit, sprayed his expensive perfume, and styled his hair for the first time in forever. He can't wait to bring you out to a fancy dinner tonight!
It didn't take a long time for you to open the door, assuming it was your roommate again, probably locked out with a dead phone, and forgetting to bring her keys as usual. However, you sighed at the sight, clearly tired and unamused, for Yandere! FWB on the other side of the door.
You quickly close the door right on his face before he sticks his leg out and convinces you to let him in, at least hear him out would you?
***
"Why are you here?" You asked, going back to your desk, not giving him another glance "More importantly, how do you know where I live? You know you're pretty creepy for tracking me down,"
Yandere! FWB ignored your comment, eyes scanning your room like a thief in a museum. He tried to memorize every inch, and perhaps snatching 1 or 2 item so he can have you beside him at all times.
But Yandere! FWB's attention quickly turns to your table that's filled with papers scattered around and empty cans of coffee and red bull littering. "End of semester project?" He asked, putting down the roses and chocolates on your friend's desk, which is right beside yours.
"Yeah, the deadline’s next week and I’m losing my mind," You answered, gripping your hair, clearly tired and exhausted. His eyes widened.
Yandere! FWB slowly moves to your side, one of his fingers tracing the edge of your desk.
"Well," He started, "Perhaps I can help you with that," He smiled with closed eyes; trying to control himself from the dark thought that suddenly flickered in his mind for a split second.
Without moving your head, you gave him a side eye, clearly suspicious, "I'm pretty sure you're enrolled in another major,"
He smirked. Without asking, Yandere! FWB quickly placed both of his hands on your shoulder and started massaging you. "Well, not that type of help. I meant... in another way,"
He could feel your body suddenly tensed from his touch. Yandere! FWB knew that what he's doing is way too fast, especially with someone he barely know, someone who didn’t know the lengths he would go for just a moment of closeness.
But I did say Yandere! FWB is desperate, didn't I?
Yandere! FWB would do anything if it meant he can get a piece of you.
He's desperate enough to cross a line.
He's desperate enough to beg for crumbs of your affection like a starving animal.
He's desperate enough to take whatever piece of you he could, it doesn't matter how dirty, how small, or how wrong it is.
He wants you.
However, you didn’t move at first.
His thumbs kneaded slowly into your shoulders, warm and firm, and for a moment you just sat there, staring blankly at the chaos of your desk, feeling the exhaustion escaping your body the more Yandere! FWB massaged.
The words he said a second ago lingered.
"I meant... in another way,"
You knew exactly what he meant. Under normal circumstances, you’d tell him to fuck off and throw him out from your room, perhaps get a restraining order against him.
But right now?
You are so tired.
You rolled your neck, letting out a satisfied sigh as his hands worked into your tense muscles. Then you turned just slightly towards him, your eyes half-lidded with exhaustion and slight annoyance.
“…Y’know what?” you whispered. “Yeah. Why the hell not.”
His hands froze.
After a few seconds, his fingers trailed down your arms. When your eyes met his, there was something off in the way he looked at you. But you were too exhausted to care.
Maybe you needed this.
Maybe you needed to stop thinking, to forget about everything for a while.
Yandere! FWB bent down slightly, just enough to your face facing his.
“Are you sure?” he asked softly, trying not to show his excitement. His voice trembled slightly, like he couldn’t believe his luck. Like he was afraid you’d wake up from this and take it back. His breaking now getting quicker and quicker.
You gave a dry laugh, rubbing at your eyes.
“Honestly? I need to blow off steam before I die from this project. If you’re offering, then fine. Just…” you turn your face back to your desk. “…don't think too much of this and lock the door. We don't want (R/n) to disturb us,”
His smile stretched just a little too wide.
"Of course, darling~" Yandere! FWB answered.
***
You opened your eyes as the blinding rays of sun hit your face, forcing you to wake up. You groaned as the pain between your legs slammed into you like a truck.
"What the hell happened..." You asked to no one in particular. Slowly, you tried to sit on your mattress, but no matter how slowly you moved, the pain kept throbbing, making you wince every few seconds.
Once you properly sat down. you scanned the room, noticing your roommate hasn't come back from her party yet, as her bed is still in the same condition as yesterday. Your eyes also noticed the bouquet of roses and chocolates on your roommate's desk, making you remember of what happened last night.
"Well," you sighed as you closed your eyes, "Why the fuck did I said yes?"
BZZT BZZT!!
A notification from your phone caught your attention. Instinctively, you opened your eyes to search for your phone, for it to be beside your hip all this time.
You quickly took your phone and opened it, thinking it's from your roommate, only to see a message from an unknown number.
"Good morning, darling~, I hope I didn't went too hard on you last night ;)"
You groaned again.
"Who's this?"
You messaged back, now your head hurting from a migraine from the pain and this random person.
Not even 3 seconds later, this person responded back,
"I'm wounded, how could you forget me after we spent a passionate night together?"
You let out another groan while turning off your phone. Going back to sleep as you try to forget the golden retriever man, clearly regretting saying 'yes' to his offer.
As you closed your eyes, you missed a message Yandere! FWB just sent to you.
I! I have a request, what Yan! What would Muzan (father) do if his precious daughter refused to wear the childishly ridiculous outfit her daddy gave her? aaahhh damn your writing is great~!😔✋️
OMGOMGOMG I LOVE THIS REQUEST SO MUCH!! THANK YOU FOR REQUESTING!!
Muzan X Daughter! Reader who refuses to wear Muzan's questionable choices in fashion.
Note: to make it easier, let's pretend this one-shot is in modern AU.

"Papa, what... are you doing?" You asked as you skimmed over a walk-in closet. You vaguely remembered your father had recently purchased a penthouse in the middle of the city and mentioned something about 'tailoring it for your taste' and can't wait for 'you to try them all'. In your defense, you were too busy eating your dinner with your dolls to pay attention.
"Darling! You're here!" Muzan said as he walked towards you, both of his hands full with designer brands paper bags and a black eyeglasses to top it off. You glanced to your left just in time to see him push the glasses up into his thick, black hair before crouching down to your level.
Muzan put down the paper bags. "To celebrate you moving up to third grade, I've decided to buy a penthouse, and this," Muzan gestured to the walk-in closet, "Is my gift for you! I will fill it with new clothes and dresses and shoes and-"
"No, thank you," You cut him off abruptly as you turn your back and walked towards the door. You swore you heard something cracked as you walked away (Muzan's heart).
"But darling!" Muzan exclaimed as he chased after your figure, trying to stop you from walking away. "I've bought LOTS of stuff for you! Why don't you try them first, pleaseeeee?" Muzan begged, desperation now dripping from his tone.
You stopped in your tracks immediately, Muzan froze too.
Muzan gulped; this is his first time seeing you rejecting his offer, and frankly he doesn't know how to handle it. "Darling, I believe this strawberry dress suits you the most! It's really cute and frilly and you'll look like a princess that comes straight up from a fairytale!" Muzan said as he pulled the dress from a nearby shelve.
Noticing that you're still unresponsive, Muzan tried a different approach, silently panicking.
"Okay, okay, how about this white poofy skirt? I think you'll like it!"
"Or perhaps you would like to try this t-shirt that says 'I Love My Daddy'?"
You knees gave up before you dramatically fell to the newly polished floor and a sob escaped, halting Muzan mid-sentence.
"Why..."
"Hm?"
"WHY DID YOU BOUGHT THOSE UGLY OUTFIT WAAAAAA" You wailed at the top of your tiny lungs.
At the end, it took Hakuji 30 minutes to calmed you down while Douma rummaged through the atrocious pile of clothes Muzan had bought during his chaotic shopping spree, trying to find something even remotely wearable for you.
Muzan crouched sulkingly in a corner, trying to repent for his crimes (and his atrocious taste in fashion, especially about YOUR clothes) In the mean time, Michikatsu is helping out Douma by sorting out all of the clothes into 2 piles: "useable" and "refund this garbage ASAP"
"Are you feeling better now, (Y/n)-sama?" Hakuji asked as he rubbed your back with 1 hand, while the other held your body close against his shoulder. You sobbed, trying to control your emotions "Papa always bought me stupid looking clothes... I always get fun off by my classmates-"
"HOW DARE THEY!" Muzan screamed as he jumped from his position like a mad man. He turned his figure to you, "Can't they see that everything my beloved daughter wears is PERFECTION? Even the gods would kneel before her cuteness! I demand we file a complaint with the school and homeschool her IMMEDIATELY!"
Hakuji sighed at his boss' another dramatic speech, "Muzan-sama, please stop with the comments, can't you see that (Y/n)-sama is terrified?" Hakuji glanced down to you, shivering in his arms. You sobbed again, thinking of how your classmates mocking you if they knew your 'freak dad' caused another public scene.
Not too far from you, Douma lets out a chuckle, "I have to agree with Akaza-dono for this. Muzan-sama, most of the clothes you bought for (Y/n)-sama is an eyesore," He said as he throw another embarrassing item to a plastic bag.
Muzan clutched his heart dramatically.
"I think... we should... let Daki and Nakime... accompany (Y/n)-sama... for shopping next time," Michikatsu muttered under his breath, eyeing a sequin-covered monstrosity.
Shocked, Muzan staggered backwards, fainted from the thought of his beloved daughter shopping without him.
Hakuji took a quick glance towards Muzan's unconscious figure, before looking at you, "How do you even put up with him, (Y/n)-sama?"
You sighed, "I wish I know the answer to that too, Hakuji-nii-chan,"
In the end, everyone went out to buy ice cream (with Muzan's credit card) while he tried (but failed) to convince you to at least try on the strawberry dress.
Spoiler alert: you and Hakuji burned the dress while everyone is sleeping.
