Hello, It’s Bird

Hellooo. I thought maybe now would be a good time to write out a general update on how I’ve been doing since I stopped roleplaying. And this was the only email I remembered so eyyy. So a quick bullet point of the major things that have happened to me: 

-I realized I’m probably not straight. Idk. It’s confusing. Especially cuz of my homophobic household but like. Girls are pretty??? Imayhavehadacrushononeofmybestfriendsendme

-I confessed to my crush last summer and that’s been something. He’s something.

-I got into the school I wanted to get into!!!!! 

-I got a puppyyy i love her 

-I got rid of a toxic friendship. But I also feel v guilty about that. 

-I might be like halfway in love? Who knows? What are emotions? 

-I started writing poetry alot. Who’s your favourite angsty teen? 

-I kinda figured out that I’ve been semi suicidal for the past two years. But just like. Semi. Hypothetically. Yeah 

That’s the big stuff basically. Hope you all are swellll

Amusement appeared on his face. The girl was obviously nervous about what the jerk had said. 

 "He said you're super annoying and talk too much." 

He had the right to mess with them. It was basically his job.

It confused her.       The one thing she did understand was that he had every right to be angry and cold to everyone. He’d gone through a lot, just like her, but they’d just taken two different roads. She snapped out of her thoughts when she heard him speak.

- She was always clumsy and running into others or tripping on her own two feet. Yes she had feet now. It’s been more than seven years since the transformation and it’s still hard for her to manage her daily life without  constantly thinking about her lost memories, which caused her to run into this man blatantly staring at her.  Why was her name on his lips? Why this man–that voice–called to her, she did not know. Yet his voice, I know it… I know it !! Oh god. It’s the boy, that poor boy, and his name … A name which ran through her head. A name from her past life as a serpent ( She only knew this because of the guild master). Her eyes grazed over his features. The strong jawline to the pointed ears– everything. She took it all in.  Guilt. It’s the only word she could think of to describe this feeling within her. You, you are… She knew of this man. There was something about him that lead her to a more personal conclusion, but her guild mates had described someone like him once before. A man who was affiliated with Oracion Seis. Someone not to be trusted. She couldn’t return his smile. Warm tears were being to take shape causing her to brush them off.

She put out her hand slowly in a greeting of sorts or so she hoped it would seem that way. ☼–”Eri–No… Cobra I assume?” Her voice was not quiet though she could feel the unwavering shakiness of it. Like him her own words failed her.

-☠-He just stared at her outstretched hand. He couldn’t...Take it. No. He would just hold on, because he wouldn’t want to let her go twice. He was selfish like that, he really was. So instead he sighed heavily and nodded. 

“Yeah, I’m C-” He started. “Wait, did you...Almost call me Erik? Why would you...?” 

Was she remembering? She couldn’t remember, no she shouldn’t. Why would she want those painful memories? Memories of slaver and abandonment. Years of being the companion of a broken boy. She didn’t need that. 

He cleared his throat. “How did you know who I was?” 

He could listen to her thoughts of course, but that didn’t seem right. That was ridiculous, because the only reason he had this magic was to hear her voice.  He looked down and shook his head with a faint smile. He was such an idiot. 

“You know, it doesn’t really matter. I should g...” But he didn’t want to go. 

Let her talk a bit longer. Then he’d leave. Just a few more minutes of soaking in her voice. Let him have that.-☠-
