Ariana’s done it again, topping the charts with her newest release “God is a woman” from her upcoming album Sweetener. It currently stands at #2 on Spotify’s Global Top 50 and is continuing to empower women all around the world. 

This song is a clear message to women to own and embrace your sexuality, and shows that women are just as powerful as men. Grande has always been a spokesperson for Women’s Right’s and equality, speaking out in interviews and on social media about the issues that are being brought to light. She is one of the celebrities who uses their platform for the greater good and is trying to make a difference and I salute her for that. 

With exactly a month until her album drops, Ariana’s done an amazing job building up excitement for this release and she clearly has a message for the world with this one. So put your speakers up and show the world what you're made of.

God truly is a woman y’all.

Ariana’s Bringing Back The Light

On Thursday, Ariana dropped this gem featuring Nicki Minaj as part of her Sweetener promo. Being that this song is so different than the Ariana we’re used to, it has taken me many many listens to get used to such a shift. In “the light is coming”, Ariana takes a break from her powerful and shocking vocals to give us a groovy electro pop tune that fluctuates between a 90s pop type vibe and a cut time hip hop beat.

Pharrell, co-writer of the song, uses a sample from a CNN News Report throughout the song, which wasn’t surprising to me since Ariana isn’t one to shy away from politics and world issues. “the light is coming”, just like “no tears left to cry”, is a perfect way to let everyone know that not even the worst can keep us down. I am so excited to see what else she brings to the table with her new album Sweetener which is set to release on August 17th.

Troye Sivan Bloom[s] In Recent Video Release

The first time I watched the “Bloom” video I felt very overwhelmed. It was like nothing I’ve ever seen before...but that’s exactly why I loved it. From the second it started it was a rush of color and personality, something very different from his “My My My!” video which was majority black and white. Troye evolves into the perfect mix of androgyny and confidence that makes me want to get up, put on my best clothes and strut my stuff around the office. 

With obvious nods at Parisian fashion mixed with bright pigments and 90s Versace, Troye immerses himself into the ever changing world of the art itself, taking us on a trip through it’s evolution, givings us striking patterns and poses and even a hint of Madonna’s “Vogue” towards the end. 

I’ve been a fan of Troye’s since his “Happy Little Pill” days and to see him come to life in this video is absolutely thrilling. Well done xx
