Sorry that Meg and I have been gone for so long! We plan on getting a surprise set up for all of you, we just need a bit more time. It's going to be totally different than what you see on our blog now, but maybe you'll enjoy it.

Several months after starting Safely Buried, I finally picked it back up again. I read, and finished, the majority of the book. It was well written and captured my attention. It just took me awhile to have the time and attention span to knock out a book. Good read. 5stars. Any questions, message me. Meg.

Book #4: Safely Buried by John Pesta (Pre-Game)

What am I expecting?  Well... I don't really know. I know it has to do with a murder and that it is a mystery. I'm just expecting to read for fun and to try a new genre.

Book #3: The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks (Post-Game)

Synopsis: Clayton, does put a damper on their relationship, but Nana is able to mend the broken pieces. Logan leaves Elizabeth alone to deal with her emotions and she finally comes around and makes up with Logan. Clayton, as always, knows. He confronts Elizabeth at her home, making threats to take Ben away. Ben over hears and runs off into the ongoing storm. He runs to his tree house, which isn't in the best of conditions. The weak boards break and he has to hold on to the frayed rope for dear life. Long story short, Elizabeth, Clayton, Logan and Zeus all run to his aide. Zeus saves Ben. Elizabeth breaks her foot. Clayton breaks several ribs. We end the book two months later, where things are calmer and easier.

 What I liked: How much I can compare it to my life. The characters just fit right in and I love that. The story line is easy to follow and easy to stay hooked on. IT'S JUST SUCH AN AMAZING BOOK!

What I didn’t like: Clayton. That's it. He made me angry, but I liked -- loved the way it ended.

Book #3: The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks (Half-Time)

Synopsis So Far:  Logan, a U.S. Marine, and his dog, Zeus, have walked from Colorado to North Carolina to find the woman in a picture he found while serving in Iraq. When he first meets Elizabeth, she makes it clear she doesn't particularly like him. Ben, her son, and Nana, the grandmother, warm up to him quickly. Nana had suffered a stroke and has needed help working their kennel. He takes the job and excels at it. Slowly, Elizabeth takes a liking to Logan. At this point in the book, they are dating. Elizibeth's ex, Clayton, doesn't like this and is in the process of ruining yet another relationship of hers. 

What I Don’t Like: I don't like her ex, but we need the antagonist to make the story flow. Also, in my opinion, it started a little slow, but it quickly picked up pace. I'm not a huge fan of the flash backs, but they all tie into the current story.

What I Do Like: I just love it. Nicholas Sparks is my favorite author and I've never been disappointed in a book of his. The characters in this book, like always, are easy to identify with. The story flows and pulls you in. He makes you feel things. Anger, sadness, happiness, all of the feels.

Book #2: Crossed by Ally Condle (Post-Game)

Synopsis: Cassia meets up with Ky and they keep traveling to find the Rebellion. Cassia learns more about Ky, which helps and hurts their relationship. When they finally get to the Rebellion, they are slit up. Cassia is sent to the Society and Ky is assigned pilot. 

 What I liked: We were able to learn more about Ky and Cassia. That their relationship was tried, but they're still together.

What I didn’t like: That they were split up.

Book #2: Crossed by Ally Condle (Half-Time)

Synopsis So Far: The book goes back and forth between Ky's point of view and Cassia's. Personally, I prefer Ky's point of view, but that's neither here nor there. We start the book continuing from the first. Ky is at the other territory, working as a decoy. Cassia is going from work site to work site because of her "bad behavior." She is actually looking for Ky. Ky finally decides to escape to search for Cassia. Ironically, as soon as Ky leaves, Cassia shows up. She soon takes the same path Ky took. She is currently searching for him and getting sick. ...Keep following for more... 

What I Don’t Like: That it's going to end soon. Really, there isn't anything to complain about.  

What I Do Like: I like that we're getting to know more about Ky and his past. I like that they're going after what they love -- each other.

What am I expecting?    Well, the first book was fantastic and a really easy read. (I read it before we started 52in52, therefore it won't count towards this. Though, I'd give it 5 stars.) So, I'm hoping this book will be just as good. I'm excited to meet new characters and learn more about the old ones.

Book #1: Ender's Game: (Post Game)

Possible Spoilers!

Synopsis: In all honesty, a good chunk of the book is just training and fighting. Training and fighting. Ender yet again gets promoted and is yet again picked on. He soon returns to Earth for three months and then is launched back into space in a facility new to him. There he learns new tactics and meets up with his old friends and allies. 

I ended the book with two chapters left. I know, I should keep pushing and get through the final pages, but I just can't. It just isn't my cup of tea and I have other books I need to read. I'm sorry for any disappointments.

 What I liked: There were some characters that I loved. The main character was amazing and brilliant. As a story as a whole, it was good. 

What I didn't like: It was too monotonous and strung out. More detail might have helped. I also think it's just not my genera of book. Note to self: SciFi ISN'T for Meg.

Book #5: Spirit Bound: A Vampire Academy Novel-by Richelle Mead (Pre-Game)

What am I expecting? Honestly, I have no clue. The last four books have left me in so many emotional states, I can't say what will be happening. I hope that we meed "D" again and that Adrian and Rose have some sort of spark between them.

Book #4: Blood Promise: A Vampire Academy Novel-by Richelle Mead (Post-Game)

Synopsis: After living with Dimitri's family for a brief period of time, Rose decided to continue her hunt for Dimitri. All I can say, wow. I can't really sum this one up because of what went on. 

What I Liked: The story. Pure and simple. The story with Rose, the journey she takes, and how she always comes back home. The development near the last quarter of the book was great, and I can't say anything else, it was just phenomenal.

What I Didn't Like: Same as before, the writing is very much so for Young Adult.

Book #4: Blood Promise: A Vampire Academy Novel-by Richelle Mead (Half-Time)

Guys and gals, you all know the drill. This MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!

Synopsis So Far: At the end of the last book, we ended with Rose going out to hunt down Dimitri and kill him since he had turned Strigoi. Rose manages to get money from Adrian and goes to find Dimitri's old home town, in Russia. She manages to get to Russia and has a hard time finding Moroi to find where this town could even be. Eventually, she meets an Alchemist named Sydney. Alchemists are folks who use their social connections to cover anything vampire related, though they are humans. Rose gets to Dimitir's family's home and tells them what happened. 

What I Don't Like: Honestly, I cant think of anything off the top of my head.

What I Do Like: I like that we get to know more about the Dimitri/Rose story and their history. We also get to know more about Dimitri. I also love that Richelle didn't leave Lissa out of the book but instead incorporated her and the Academy in.

Okay guys, I am not going into this with the expectation to not like the writing like I have with the previous ones. I am going to let myself get fully absorbed into the book (though I'm already there), and allow the story to sink in. With the extra number of pages and chapter count, I am expecting her to do the same thing she did with the last book & use it in a phenomenal way. From the last book, we know there is a change in scenery as well as the story we follow. I am really quite excited for this book!
