Idk if this will be useful information, but Garu/Karu have no memories of anytime before they were a yokai. Even though they met their original pack and felt a connection to them, they don't remember anything of the past
Ohhh okay! I totally forgot about that! So it would be less so of him being raised by wolves and more about the fact he's been living in a forest by himself lol
Karu(/Garu)!! Most of my headcanons regarding him are his appearance, although I do think he should act more wild and definitely less… child-like… he can still be naive but he’s also an adult and I think it’s a little weird he’s treated as this ‘cute little puppy-boy’ (mainly Garu). I really love him but he’s just a tad less serious than what I’d like. I also think it would be interesting if he has a natural instinct to hunt, so he doesn’t understand why he shouldn’t kill and eat animals even when he starts living at the mansion. But as for appearance, I think he should be the most animal looking compared to the other yokai, since he was raised by wolves for part of his life and had to fend for himself in a forest. His clothes are the biggest difference, because I don’t think his canon outfit fits him at all (I understand it wasn’t designed for practical use lol), instead he should have raggedy, worn-down clothing, perhaps even things Karu has stolen from humans 😭. He has animal fur arm warmers that he learned to make or was taught by his grandpa, and his collar is a lot smaller and doesn’t have a leash cause it could get in the way while hunting. Some of his scars might be in the wrong place I didn’t look at a ref while drawing this hehe
