Lost
“Look 5 years into the future, what do you see yourself doing?”
-Nothing.
I see nothing, I don't see me in 5 years. It’s just a black fuzzy mess. undecipherable, uncomprehendable.
I feel nothing. Alone in my own skin, with no one who understands what I'm going through.
I just want to feel again.
Religion
Although there are many religions, in essence, they are all the same when stripped back to the basic components - belief.
People find that believing in something will protect them when they are hurt, Give them strength when they are weak, but most importantly it gives them hope above all else.
Is that really a bad thing? To believe in something in order to be happy?
The majority of the world belong to one religion or another. In fact, Atheists may think that they don't belong to a religion, just because they don’t go to church every Sunday, or pray multiple times a day. But they do believe in something. They believe in nothing. They believe that they are responsible for their own happiness and fortune - they believe in themselves.
Life
Close your eyes. Just relax. Breathe. This is you. This is life.
All the thoughts that you have, all the things that you do, everything that you see. This is life.
Imagine death - one minute you’re awake, you’re here, the next... poof.
All of a sudden, the lights go out and you no longer exist. Your body starts to decay, but what about you? Not the physical you, but the conscious you.
Where do you go when you no longer have a body? What do you see when you no longer have eyes? Do you still remain alive; even though you died? Will you still have thoughts, even though you no longer have yourself?
The thoughts that I have had would scare you
“Describe what it’s like to cut?”
Imagine feeling nothing. Sitting in a dark room, seeing nothing. Then someone comes and switches the light on, and everything around you becomes apparent.
It’s like feeling every emotion all at once, yet feeling nothing at all. Like you‘re not even existing, and then you cut. You feel the pain. You feel something and this makes you feel alive again.
It’s addictive, to feel, when you’re in a place where you can’t allow yourself to feel anything at all.
Are you okay? Yes Are you lying? Yes
What is it like, to be able to sleep all the way through the night?

Heartbeat.
Whilst the heart still beats, you still have a chance to live, a chance to change, a chance to make a difference.
Such a fragile, yet complicated organ. Responsible for maintaining and sustaining life, yet easily broken and difficult to mend.
Every beat is a gift, a reason to fight.
It will allow you to make the memories - until the end,
Dot Dot Dot
When placed in the middle of a sentence ... it’s like you hold your breath, waiting for the next word to release you, to allow yourself to expand your lungs and breathe again so that you can carry on.
Sometimes in life, you hold your breath, waiting for someone to care enough about you to release you from your suffocation.
When that happens, you feel lighter, less weighted, less alone; with the promise that when things get tough, they will reduce your ellipses down to a single comma.
Every good sentence needs punctuation; so do you. If not only to allow you to breathe until you get to the end, but to allow yourself to reflect and grow.
Sunsets and Rainbows
Time passes. Sun rises - Sun sets.
Regardless of how you feel, or what you are going through, life goes on.
The dark, grey clouds of todays’ sorrow, will be a distant memory when you are stood in front of the rainbow.
Dreams do come true. If yours hasn’t, then you’re still asleep.
Scars.
Skinned knees are a lot easier to fix than a broken heart - But, like our younger selves, we love to pick scabs. Just when the wound is in the process of mending and in the process of making you feel better, what do you do? you go and rip that scab right off, leaving it to bleed. leaving the next layer of skin to feel raw and exposed to the elements.
Do you know what happens if you keep on picking the scabs on your wounds without letting them heal fully each time? They scar. You‘re irrevocably left with that scar for life. That constant reminder of the damage you once did to yourself out of your own free will. Just because you wouldn’t allow yourself to heal.
Day by day, nothing changes; but when you look back, everything is different
Just breathe
Cut the negativity and venom out of your life and you'll remember how to breathe ❤️
