I am SO late I'm so sorry ! I just caught up with the last two chapters, they were so good ! Yun and Elias have finally met and the backstory of Elias was so beautifully told ! I'll try and do some analysis if I have the time !

I am ! But I don't really interact, I find discord a bit overwhelming sometimes... I should give it a try tho, I'd love to read theories and I think that there's a lot of fanart there too ?

Yeah I have ! I LOVED the animatics before so when Emily and Celina announced they were doing the webcomic and opening a patreon I didn't even think and subscribed

1 year of Catechism !
A year ago, the first two chapters of Catechism were out and I made the first post on this blog ! My offering to you is this little Yun I doodled 💖
It's a small blog but I really enjoy seeing all your reactions every time a new chapter drops ! To all of you who always like and reblog, I see you and I love you !
Here's to another year full of dramatic pasts, revolution, and of course, gorgeous panels 🥂
Magic ?
As we follow the mysterious swordsman (who could it be ahem ahem), we are presented to a new element of the story : magic.
Here the swordsman seems to liquify the bars in order to go through them and infiltrate the palace.
The rules and system of magic are still a mystery to us but the way it is depicted highlights how special it is.
The story stops for a moment as the swordsman takes a few seconds to use his magic. The frames are more convoluted and complicated, showing the difference between this action and the others very clearly. The drawings of little fish, real or not in the story, create this surreal moment.
This is something that we didn't have access to while following Yun's side of the story. Maybe magic is not available (ot taught) to people in lower situations (and the lone swordsman has colthes that seem to indicate a higher status). The only other time that we may have been in contact with magic was in chapter 1 when Yun takes his mother to the hospital.
With the dialogue in the scene we understand that Yun had never witness what the nurse calls "a reflection". Like lyssa, the use of magic seems to be limitated to a very small circle.
But those are just my thoughts ! Magic in the universe of Catechism is really beautiful and I hope we get to seemore of it soon !
