The blonde held out a large chocolate bar out to the other. "I heard what happened.... You need this more than me. You holding up okay?"

"M-me?" He had no idea who this stranger was but if they were offering some chocolate they couldn’t be that bad, right? I mean. C’mon. It’s chocolate.

"…I’m… I’m okay," he says with an uneasy smile. Strange for someone he’s never met before come up and say something like that but he really shouldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth, could he?

"Uh, thanks though! I’m not usually a fan of sweets but I do love some good chocolate."

"I don’t think we’ve met before? I’m Phoenix."

"I'm Mihael, but you can call me Mello if you want." The blonde muttered. It was weird getting used to introducing himself with his actual name. But as a prosecutor it would be odd to use an alias, right?

"Like I said, I heard what happened... I hope you're holding up okay."

Mello nervously cleared his throat. "N-No, I'm fine. It's just, uhm... A, uh... unpleasant week for me. Bad memories and all that. But maybe it was arranged that way. Overwrite the bad with some good ones, yeah? I'm ready when you are, Mr. Edgeworth." And that was the first time he'd used 'Mr' to the older man- a deep sign of respect coming from the blonde.

"I understand the feeling, Mr. Mello," Miles said in a very serious tone, nodding his head. "I have some bad memories of my own that I must live with. Regardless … I hope that you are comfortable here. Please, follow me."

'Mr. Mello' just sounded downright funny to him, and he tried not to chuckle about it as he followed Miles closely. He gave a nervous laugh as he looked around, trying to keep himself calm.
