Is there something inherently wrong with wanting people to have an interest in you and give you attention?

god's weakest soldier is scrolling tumblr instead of being productive or participating in any of their hobbies
Having a religious parent who is chill but has some wacky beliefs is odd ,at the very least.
My mom loves taking me out to buy more reveling clothing and she also looooves that the prophet she follows read the Bible out loud while dead. She’s sweet about me listening to heavy music but believes Ed Sheeran is as “demonic” as Megadeath. She believes humanity is smarter than we give ourselves credit but doesn’t believe in the moon landing.
This is probably the only post I’ll make with this but I need advice.
I’ve been questioning if I’m polyamorous for a couple years. I’ve also been dating my partner for about 4 years. After bringing up another couple to join while talking (they were curious about them) and that going south. They told me that it’s better if we took a break in our relationship (not a breakup) to work on ourselves. Once the break end they want me to have figured my feelings around polyamory. If I still wanted to be poly they would break up with me because they are strictly monogamous. I don’t want to loose them. How do I figure if I’m actually into polyamory?
Thank you for the advice.
