Greetings [tumblr]. My name is The Dawn, and I want to test the survival instincts of your favorite characters, specifically the ones that YOU nominate.
The way this poll blog works is that every month, starting on the 9th and ending on the 15th, 4 characters that have been carefully selected will have a special padlock fastened around the wrists of their dominant hand(s). This padlock, while it may look ordinary, is actually an explosive device, and the only way to get it off is if the selected characters track each other down and fight to the death until one character remains.
The rules are simple:
1. The 4 characters selected may NOT pick the lock or else they will instantly explode and die, and therefore be out of the game.
2. The characters are given only each others’ first names and 3 photographs of their targets (one picture for each opponent) that may or may not give them enough evidence to potentially track down their locations. However, they are permitted to get external help from any people or tools around them to use to their advantage.
3. The group will be given 1 week and 1 week only to fight to the death.
4. Whoever survives is based off of your support, which will be reflected in the polls that will go out on the 9th of every month.
5. Whichever character gets the most amount of votes survives.
6. If 2 or more characters get in a tie and they are the most popular votes, all of them will survive and there will be a tie breaker on the 19th.
7. If 2 or more characters get in a tie and they are NOT the most popular votes, they will all die.
8. Any characters that do NOT get the most popular vote will all die.
9. Sometimes, there isn’t a winner and everybody dies.
If this already seems rulesy, it’s just about to get worse, because you, the nominators, have your own set of rules as well.
Rules for nominators goes as follows:
1. You may nominate any character you want in my asks inbox. Any fandom, any franchise, any nominee.
2. You may NOT nominate your own OCs, self inserts, fursonas, or anything within those lines. This includes OCs meant to be inserted into other franchises (like ponysonas for My Little Pony as example).
3. You may NOT nominate real people (such as celebrities or actors FOR fictional characters). This rule is to remain respectful.
4. Nominating live action fictional characters with no identity-connection to their actors (such as the Terminator played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) are completely ok to nominate as long as you’re nominating only the character the actor plays as and NOT the actor themselves.
5. You may NOT nominate a character added to the Deceased List™, which is conveniently placed at the end of this pinned post. In case you don’t wanna sift through that shit you may also ask me if a character is deceased or not before committing to nominating them. Don’t worry, I don’t bite.
6. If a character survives my game once, they may be renominated again in the near future, but only as many times as I want to. This means they could be renominated only once, or an infinite number of times until they die (IF they do…)
7. Do NOT whine if your character you voted for dies. (I may be the one placing explosive padlocks on your blorbos but I still designed this game to be fair.)
8. Do NOT get too attached to them. I will actively taunt fandoms about their fave’s lives on the line as polls are ongoing for… er… PROMOTIONAL purposes… yeah…
9. When you nominate, this is a very sick gamble you are making, so be sure to make the most out of every single moment.
I shall watch your future nominations’ progress with great interest. After all, [tumblr] LOVES their fandoms and their characters, but are they willing to put them through the ultimate test? You decide… and just remember, you wouldn’t pick a lock…

The core problem with basically every single instance of boundaries discourse I see is that nobody seems to know what the word "boundary" actually means.
Boundaries are personal and social. They are based on mutual respect. Boundaries are not orders, they are requests, intended to establish a cause and effect: if you do this thing, I will do this other thing. "If you show me ship fic, I will block you" is a boundary. "You are not allowed to make ship fic at all" is not a boundary, that is a rule.
Rules are not boundaries. Rules are based on power and control - they are imposed upon you. This is not necessarily bad, but it must come with understanding of where they can be applied. Rules only apply where the rulemaker has control of what is allowed. And these are how many creators seem to approach what they call "boundaries". Again, this is not necessarily bad - their own twitch chats, discords, and maintags on social media ARE spaces in which they have control (some spaces more than others - maintags are shakier since creators don't have moderation power there, but that can be alleviated by creating a dni tag and asking people to place content there instead), and are therefore places where they can make rules about what they do or do not want to be shown. This is fine. Creators have the right to moderate their own spaces how they wish.
Where the problems emerge is that many creators seem to assume that they have the power to apply their rules (in the guise of "boundaries") in places that are not their own. Non-main tags on social media, archive of our own, private discords - these are locations in which the application (or lack thereof) of boundaries is no longer the choice of a creator. They do not have power; thus, any choices made by individuals in those spaces must necessarily be based only on the social agreement between fan and creator, an inherently parasocial construction. And in this case, the parasocial agreement that actually exists is not "this thing must never be created", it is "this thing should not be created or shared in my spaces".
I would argue that the primary issue in how "boundaries" are approached is a misunderstanding of how all of this works. Boundaries cannot be enforced in private spaces because there is no power relationship there. They can only be requested. As a result, when creators attempt to enforce boundaries in spaces that are not their own, what will actually happen is a series of barely-controlled harassment campaigns aimed towards people who are, by and large, following the social contract of boundaries but not the power-enforced contract of rules. And that harassment is far more of a problem than any person in a private discord writing something against boundaries. One might make someone uncomfortable.
The other gets people hurt. And that's where the line is crossed.

In light of everything that’s happened since the statements about Avid/Marm were shared on June 7th, 2026, I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge and send support to all the writers, artists, and creators who’ve been affected. Situations like this can be discouraging—and for a lot of people, genuinely upsetting, confusing, or even hurtful—especially when so much time, creativity, and heart have gone into building stories and characters we all care about.
But this community—especially within the MCYT fandom spaces—has always been about creativity, resilience, and collaboration, and I truly believe that, in time and at our own pace, we can move forward together in a positive way.
With that in mind, I wanted to float an idea and see who might be interested:
✨ What if we came together as a fandom to create a new original character—one we can collectively build, adapt, and integrate into our stories as needed? ✨
The goal wouldn’t be to erase or overwrite anything, or to force changes on anyone’s work.
Instead, this would be:
• A shared creative project for those who want an alternative moving forward
• A way to support each other in continuing stories with minimal disruption
• A chance to create something that reflects the strength and spirit of the community itself
• A way to channel whatever energy you’re feeling—frustration, hurt, anger, or otherwise—into something creative and positive
Think of it as a collaborative OC that anyone interested can help shape—design, personality, backstory, dynamics, etc.—and then use (or not use!) in whatever way fits their work best.
There’s absolutely no pressure to participate, and no expectation to change anything you’ve already created, or even use it at all. If you’re not ready for something like this, that’s completely okay too. This is just meant to be an option for those who would find it helpful or inspiring 💫

1) Vaping is confirmed to cause cancer. Vaping coats the lungs with toxic substances, such as heavy metals and benzene, which are known to cause cancer
2) Many vapes contain diacetyl, which, when inhaled causes popcorn lung, or scarring of the lung
3) Ultrafine particles, when being inhaled, can be lodged in the trachea (not good!)
4) Ultrafine particles can also constrict the arteries in the lungs potentially causing A HEART ATTACK
5) Vaping is relatively new. Not much studies have been done in comparison to tobacco. Plus, the vaping companies are powerful people. There is a large chance that they are purposely downplaying and even burying any evidence that vaping is harmful - just like the tobacco companies before them. They do not care about you, or your health, or the truth. They only care for money
Also STOP VAPING INDOORS AROUND OTHER PEOPLE. Holy shit, if you're gonna wreck your lungs at least give me the option not to wreck mine.

Just wanted to say, for anyone that was interested in my cat shapeshifter!Abolish AU, I haven't really been talking about it or anything lately because I've had a lot less free time (thanks, school) plus I really don't know how to continue what I've written so far, so it's been on hold for now.

So I'm watching v!Abolish's early POV on Vampires SMP because I wanna learn the events and learn more in general to get how to write v!Abolish right? And I find this hilarious moment in ep2 that fuels my Crossfangs I TALK ABOUT EP2 SPOILERS AND ENDING SPOILERS SO VAMPIRES SMP SPOILERS FOR EP 2
It's this scene where v!Abolish catches v!Scott eavesdropping on a conversation (I forgot but I think it's Apo and Martyn saying they're gonna believe in vampires for a couple days) just. Look.
THE WAY ABOLISH JUST SHAKES HIS HEAD LIKE I can interpret a whole conversation out of just the head movement WATCH ME. A FOR ABOLISH S FOR SCOTT.
S: Oh, hi!
A: What are you doing?
S: What do you think I'm doing? I'm eavesdropping!
A: No, you can't do that. You're not supposed to be doing that.
S: Awww... really?
