“What are you doing here?” she asked, though the smirk on her lips suggested she already knew.
“Uh, nothing,” Jungwon stammered, shoving his hands into his pockets. “Just… walking by.”
Karina crossed her arms, clearly unconvinced. “Right. So you didn't just slip a love note into Y/N’s locker just now?”
His jaw dropped, and for a moment, he could only gape at her. “I—no! It’s not like that!”
“Sure, sure,” Karina said, her smirk widening. “Your secret’s safe with me… for now.”
Before he could protest further, she turned on her heel and disappeared down the hallway, leaving him alone once more.

The next day, you were sitting in homeroom, skimming through your notes for an upcoming quiz, when Karina slid into the seat beside you.
“So,” she began, her voice brimming with excitement.
You glanced at her warily. “What now?”
“Guess who I caught slipping a love note into your locker yesterday.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Please don’t say Mr. Kim from the cafeteria again.”
“Nope,” she said, her grin growing wider. “It was Jungwon.”
Your pen froze mid-sentence. “Jungwon? Like class president, everyone's favorite boy Jungwon?”
“Yup!” Karina confirmed. “I caught him red-handed putting a note in your locker yesterday.”
You blinked, trying to process her words. “I don't get it. Why would Jungwon, out of all people, leave a note for me?”
“Because he likes you!” Karina said.
You frowned, shaking your head. “That doesn’t make any sense. Jungwon barely talks to me.”
“Maybe he’s shy,” Karina teased. “Or maybe you’re just blind to how much he stares at you during class.”
You rolled your eyes. “I’ll believe it when I see it.”
“Fine,” She said, leaning back in her chair. “Then catch him in the act.”

“It means,” you said, stepping closer, “you could’ve just talked to me. But I guess this works too.”
