I am in the midst of processing some Levihan analysis when I thought I missed this out.

🚨Levihan lens on warning

Not Zeke but the flowers. Of course we can see little white flowers near the riverbank where Hange found and saved Levi.

So, I was thinking about something else but seeing the white flowers, I suddenly remember the white flowers from Ilse's notebook.

They may not be the same but if we think about how seeds and plants propagate, we can assume that they are usually found in the same area.

So, this thought came to me:

1) Could Hange and Levi's secret meeting place in the forest be the one where they found Ilse's body?

2) Levi had moved Zeke from the Giant Forest to somewhere, one where he can connect with Pixis/ Hange so that Zeke can be eaten.

He had known that Eren has rebelled and that Pixis is ready to negotiate with the Yeagerist using Zeke's location. So, in trying to understand Levi's action, I think he is trusting that Hange can send someone to that location, after the military realised that Zeke had defeated his guards in the Giant forest. (Remember only 3 Scouts plus Hange knew where Levi and Zeke were, and Pixis's instruction was to not let the Yeagerists know Zeke's location so they can use it as a leverage)

3) Hange, on the other hand, and for some reason, did not lead Floch to the Giant forest, but along the way to where Levi eventually was found after Zeke blasted himself.

Did Hange really wanted Floch to find Zeke? I think she had figured out that something had happened to Levi because Falco gave a twitch in the carriage when Zeke screamed. If Zeke, under the watch of Levi and his soldiers, had screamed, it can only mean that Zeke is making a move and attacking Levi and the soldier.

So, she can only hope that Levi's squad can survive and subdue Zeke, which would mean they will likely be at a hidden place, per Pixis' instructions.

In the other scenario where Zeke is successful, leading Floch to the Giant forest would increased the chance for Floch get to Zeke. Hence, Hange's lesser option is to still just lead Floch to there, delaying Floch as long as possible.

Indeed Floch and the Yeagerist had expected Levi to still be their greatest obstacle in reaching Zeke, even with Zeke's scream.

Anyway, I digressed but seeing the white flowers in both the places Hange saved Levi, and where they found Ilse's notebook, somehow connected this for me.

And in this audio drama, Levi requested for just 1 white flower because Armin had called him out for "randomly" visiting a flower shop and urging him to get 1 stalk. Now it makes more sense , to me, what the white flower symbolises and who it could be for😏

So Eren saved Mikasa from kidnapper by risking his life, he even killed people to save her and after saving that he wrapped the scarf to her , And that movement they both got connected through that scarf like red string theory and that scarf always helped mikasa to remember eren and she always have her scarf until her death

Same With levihan

Hange saved levi by risking her life from yeagerist , she also killed her own comrades to save levi and then she stiched his wound of eyes and body at that time they also got connected forever through there scars

Scars that complete each other

Hange gave that stiches to levi which will always help levi to remember hange and obviously the mark on his eye will forever with him and he lost his right eye and hangi lost her left eye

When we put them together we can see that they complete each other through scars they are each others half

And

Eremika and levihan met each other in the same year 844

And Ackermans lost there love at the same day of same year 854

Eren is parallel to hange who sacrificed there life for there loved ones, even there hairstyle are also same

And Ackermans have let them go because they chose duty over love

I mean it's not the coincidence

I believe levi cried at the end because he saw hange among his death comrades , ofcourse he felt sad for his other comrads , I mean imagine if hange would have been alive with him at that time ,do you think Levi would have cried , I don't think so...

I mean hange was the only one levi asked something after her death 'watch us hange'and 'see ya hange' because I think he was in decline that hange died So that it will not break him down at that time because he was in mid of war .. anyways they are so parallel to eremika still some people deny that they don't love each other or isayama didn't confirm it

But if we talk about isayama confirmation he never confirmed any ship by himself ,he just gave hints and levihan have all the hints we needed they literally confessed each other

Levihan parallel to eremika

There’s something almost cosmic about the way Levi and Hange exist, like two stars orbiting each other without ever needing to speak their gravity aloud; their entire story feels like a parallel universe reflection of Eren and Mikasa, written with the same structure but different ink. The year Mikasa met Eren is the same year Levi met Hange; the year Mikasa lost Eren is the same year Levi lost Hange; even the day is same

both Eren and Hange died not because they wanted to, but because there was no other choice left to save the world, and both Levi and Mikasa were the ones forced to stay alive and let go of the person they loved most—loved quietly, painfully, desperately, without ever being allowed to keep them. Eren’s link to Mikasa is written through the red scarf he wrapped around her neck, a symbol of warmth, belonging, and a home she never had; but Levi and Hange’s bond is carved far deeper, in scars instead of scarf—Hange losing her right eye, Levi losing his left, injuries that when placed together form one complete vision, two halves of a single wound that fits only when aligned side by side, as if their brokenness was designed to match. Levi never shows emotion outright, but when Hange dies, he can’t even bring himself to look at her, because if he does, he will break completely; his eyes lose all light in the manga, a hollow emptiness born not from shock but from shattering. the person who matched him in scars, in burden, in brilliance, in heartbreak. LeviHan isn’t written in kisses or declarations or canon confirmation; it’s written in eyes, in wounds, in choices, in loyalty, in the silence between their words, in the glances that last one second too long, in the way he softens only for her, and she steadies only for him. They are a love story that doesn’t need dialogue because the narrative itself keeps repeating their symmetry. We can see that moblit and Levi are talking about hange so let's break it down I am not going to explain whole story but imp point

Here levi is talking to moblit and how Erwin called him for something important and moblit is also here to bring nessesary item for his squad leader hange , Levi recognise moblit Maybe because he stays a lot with hange

Here we can see what moblit thinks

He is saying that hange and Levi are complete opposite but still they trust each other so much it's a relationship build over years of trust

Moblit even feels a bit jealous that Levi has a connection with Hange that Moblit doesn’t.

That’s HUGE.

Canon says Moblit envies Levi for the closeness he has with Hange.

We already know that they are complete opposite but some people still says that they don't trust each other i mean I think they don't know how to read any character

Levi looks up at the rain and suddenly says:

“Must be hard being an aide for someone like that.”

This is Levi showing vulnerability.

He rarely talks about feelings, but Hange is his soft spot.

Moblit asks: “What do you mean?”

Levi answers:

> “If something interests Hange enough, Hange will ignore everything else — including your life.”

Or

“When she goes into her own world, her life is basically in your hands.”

He means:

Hange is reckless

Hange forgets danger

Hange is careless with her own safety

And Levi worries constantly

This is Levi revealing how deeply he cares.

Then moblit says that it's his job to protect his squad leader

Levi says “Yeah. It’s a job only you can do.”

“No matter how far back we go, we’re not always together all day.

You’re the one who’s always by Hange’s side, Moblit.”

Or The translation can be

“No matter how long you’ve known her, it’s not like you can stick to her side constantly. The one who’s always with Hange is you, Moblit.”

This is Levi’s confession by implication:

Levi wants Moblit to be strong

To keep Hange safe

Because Levi knows he can’t be around Hange 24/7

But he wants someone trustworthy beside Hange

Maybe he just want to stay with hange but can't because of the order he gets from his superior

Then Levi tells Moblit:

> “Be more confident. You can’t always stay upbeat, but still.”

Meaning: Even if Moblit gets scared, he has to protect Hange — for both of them.

Moblit realizes:

“Oh… he’s asking me to keep taking care of Hange.”

Levi never directly says feelings.

But this is the closest Levi gets to saying:

“Hange is precious to me.

Please protect her when I can’t.”

Rain stops. Levi says:

“Give me those.”

He takes the heavy bag from Moblit.

Levi — who hates dirt, hates carrying things, hates inconvenience —

still carries Hange’s bags.

I mean look at this image of Ova I am pretty sure this all stuff is of levi but he didn't carry any of that Right but he carried the bag from moblit just to get a chance to meet hange

Levi notices the rain stopped and immediately tells Moblit:

“Give me your bag. I’ll carry it.”

Very important:

Levi hates dirt.

Levi hates carrying messy, heavy things.

Levi still takes Moblit’s bag because it’s Hange’s stuff.

This shows: ✔ Levi cares about Hange enough to do something he dislikes.

😳 Moblit: “Ah, Heichō, those are heavy!?”

Moblit is shocked.

Because:

Levi NEVER volunteers to carry heavy, dirty bags

Levi is choosing to do it

Moblit instantly understands Levi’s motive: He’s doing this because it will help Hange

And maybe Levi will get an excuse to meet hange

Levi snatches the bag and walks out without looking back

Levi doesn’t wait for thanks.

He doesn’t even look back at Moblit.

This is typical Levi:

Acts of kindness without acknowledging them

Especially when they are related to Hange

Because he doesn’t want anyone to see he’s being soft

“We’re returning to the same barracks anyway. Making Hanji owe me one isn’t so bad.” – Levi

This line is VERY Levihan-coded.

What Levi really means is:

“I’m helping because it’s for Hange.”

“And I wouldn’t mind if Hange is grateful to me.”

“I like when Hange owes me favors.”

When he says: “Isn’t so bad” he’s hiding the fact that: ✔ He likes helping Hange

✔ He wants Hange to notice his efforts

✔ He doesn’t mind acting close to her

Moblit’s says: “…if only Buntaichō would notice your presence…”

Moblit is saying --

“If only Hange noticed how much Levi cares.”

Moblit can actually see: ✔ Levi’s affection

✔ Levi’s concern

✔ Levi doing thoughtful things for Hange

But Hange is oblivious.

This line is Moblit feeling a bit sad:

He sees how much effort Levi puts in

Hange doesn’t always realize it

Hange is busy, scatter-brained, lost in research

Moblit is basically saying: “Hange, look at Levi! He is always doing things for you!”

“I’ll kick her in the ass and make her notice.” – Levi

This is Levi at his BEST.

This means:

“I don’t care if Hange doesn’t notice.

I’ll shove it in her face until she do.”

He’s joking, but he’s also serious.

Translation of the emotion: ✔ Levi wants Hange to notice him

✔ He wants Hange to see his efforts

✔ He wants recognition

✔ He wants that closeness

And the fact he says: “I’ll make her notice.” means he’s comfortable enough with Hange to tease her physically.

“His back looking like a bashful smile…”

This is BEAUTIFUL.

Moblit is watching Levi walk ahead and thinks:

Levi looks like he’s smiling — like he’s shy.

It indicates: ✔ Levi is secretly happy thinking about Hange

✔ He’s embarrassed he said something emotional

✔ He’s trying not to show his face

This is basically the closest Levi gets to blushing.

Moblit smiles because he has realized:

Levi cares about Hange more deeply than he admits

Levi gets soft when it comes to Hange

Levi, the cold captain, is actually warm right now

And Moblit finds it sweet, even funny

Moblit genuinely enjoys seeing Levi act shy about Hange.

✔ Levi does small, quiet acts of love for Hange

Carrying bags, paying attention, thinking about favors.

✔ Levi wants Hange to notice him

He literally says he’ll “kick them” so they’ll notice his efforts.

✔ Levi teases but also blushes about Hange

His back looks “bashful” because he’s smiling but hiding it.

✔ Moblit knows Levi likes Hange

Moblit watches the whole thing and smiles, because he can see Levi’s feelings clearly.

✔ This is one of the most intimate Levihan moments in the Smartpass stories

First, I want to thank @tdhdkdkkd for this idea. This was something I thought of sometime back. But I cant convince myself so I left that thought behind.

So I put on thicker levihan lens and looked at the times Levi smiled, and the times Levi smiled at Hange 😏

Now, it is known that there are 2 more obvious moments where Levi smiled in the whole AOT show: after Historia punched him in Season 3, and looking at the sky with Isabelle and Furlan in No Regrets OVA.

There are 2 more lesser-known ones, and it is quite difficult to determine if he did indeed smiled at the slightest bit. Warning: Levihan lens is on full mode.

1) Family reunion at the top of Shiganshina wall in Season 3

Ok. I have tried to just zoom in to Levi's face in these 4 frames but it makes it too blurry to see the change in his facial expression.

So I slowed the video down and tried to capture the frame by frame changes and these are the 4 frames which Levi's face changed as Hange stand up.

Now, it is obvious to me now that there is an obvious dip at the corner of his mouth from Frame 3 to Frame 4. And while I cant say that Frame 1 and Frame 2 show an upturned corner, it is definitely not a downturn one like in Frame 3. 😐😕🙁

Yes, it is not a smile like how he smiled after Historia punched him but I also wanted to compare the changes in his facial expression as he smiled.

Here are the 4 frames where he smiled as he looked down from the sky in the OVA (I tilted the frame to compare). It is quite obvious that Frame 3 and 4 here, our shortking had a little smirk at the corner of his mouth 😏

And if you compare Frame 2 from the OVA with Frame 2 from Season 3, as the angle of his face in these 2 frames are very similar, it is very likely that there is a small smile that he is trying to force his face into as Hange stands up.

2) Ilse's Notebook OVA

This one was tricky too, because the frames are all the same with Levi's mouth just moving for the lines.

The entire sequence, Levi's mouth only has 1 frame that is closed. And it is the top screenshot. So I really do not know if he had turned the corner up or down (which should be by default his facial expression).

Now, the Ah-ha moment came when I looked through the scenea when Historia punched Levi. Not from Levi himself, but from Mikasa

So you can see that the top, Mikasa and Historia are happy because they managed to throw a punch at Levi. Noticed how subtle the directors have drawn Mikasa's smile in the top frame? Thereafter, they froze (because they didnt get the effect they wanted from Levi) and Mikasa's mouth became downturn.

It is very very subtle so circling back to the moment in Season 3 at the rooftop, I am pretty sure that Levi had tried to smile, or attempt to be soft with Hange.

And if I look through my Levihan lens at the Ilse's notebook OVA moment, I can see that his left corner of his mouth is slightly higher than his right. And noticed how when he talks, his upper lip is downturned. So if he is being grumpy there should be even a slightest downturn on his left side when he closed his mouth.

I really have to thank Mikasa for helping me see how subtle the Ackerman show their joy even in the form of a smirk. 😖

8) ISAYAMA'S ENDING FOR LEVIHAN

On the manga, Levi was sitting on a wheelchair and he's with Gabi, Falco and Onyakopon

Levi was holding a magazine/newspaper(?) in his hand, but instead of looking at it, his eye was looking at the plane above them... remembering Hange.

In Isayama's draft for this panel, the sketch for the plane was different. But Isayama redraw it to a similar flying boat that Hange protected. Isayama also crossed out the dialogue that says, 'The pain that we feel' and changed it to, 'The story we sought after'

Can't imagine how painful it is for Levi, losing everything and Hange 😢💔 (If only I could, I would give him a hug...)

On the anime, Mappa changed Levi's ending into Levi distributing candies to the children. When he saw a round lollipop, he blinked because he remembered someone.

He remembered Hange and the day they visited Marley with the kids...

Isayama and Mappa were trying to tell and show us that in whatever endings, Levi will always end up thinking about Hange.

Just how can he even forget the person who saved his life? The wounds that Hange treated before might've already healed, but he would always remember her by his scars.

Afterall, Levi spent more of his days with Hange than anyone else. Hange truly played a big and important role in Levi's life 🤧

9) IS LEVIHAN CANON?

Even without statement and confirmation from Isayama-sensei, I firmly believe that Eremika and Levihan are both canon.

There's a lot of evidence that proves their relationships are parallel to each other.

Just like Eren and Hange are both obsessed with Titans. Eren wants to kill titans while Hange wants to learn and study them.

Levi can recognize Hange by her knock while Mikasa can recognize Eren by only sensing him.

When Eren asked Mikasa, "What do you think about me?" Mikasa replied, "You're a family".

When Hange asked Levi, "Maybe we should just live here together. What do you think, Levi?" Levi replied, "If we just run away and keep on hiding, what will we have left?"

Both Mikasa and Levi lost Eren and Hange because they chose to say a safer answer. Had they answered differently and truthfully that time, then maybe they never lose them.

I think that's what really Ackermans are. They are physically strong, but they are not good in expressing their feelings through words. (They only show it through their actions)

When they bid a farewell to the love of their life. They didn't say, "Good-bye," ... But instead, they told them, "See you," / "See you later,"

They believe that they would see them again, in a place where there is no more war, no more pain, no more tears, no more regrets... A place where they can be happy together. A place where they could finally get the happy ending both Eremika and Levihan deserve <3

Bonus:

Isayama himself wrote, "Levihan" instead of writing it as "Levi and Hange" so he would lie if he'll say that he doesn't agree with Levihan ship 💜💚🤭

She was the only one who showed Levi and his friends kindness

So maybe Levi is also showing act of kindness to children.

Dedicate Your Heart

Okay, since I’ve been seeing a lot of people bring up the ring collaboration with AoT featuring the famous “Dedicate your Heart” panel, I wanted to talk about it a bit more.

As most of us have figured out, the first time Levi had ever done the salute was when he was bidding farewell to Hange. It had always been something cheesy to him and out of character for him to follow with, but he still decided to dedicate it to Hange when they sacrificed themselves for the cause. A lot of us assumed he dedicated his heart to Hange here since he put his fist on Hange’s chest instead of his own- as the normal salute is done. Not only did Levi give Hange his first “Dedicate your Heart” salute, but it seems he gave Hange his heart as well. As he said the words and put his fist on their chest instead, right above their own heart. A metaphorical way of saying their hearts were now beating together in Hange. And I’ve heard the idea that the way we visualize the heart we see (like the emoji), represents two real human hearts put together to form the caricatured heart shape we know. Which to me means that Hange and Levi joining their hearts together created one.

I’m sure others have noted this too, but it’s something I just noticed for myself is the fact that Levi used his left fist instead of his right one. And you all know what the left hand entitles? That’s right, the hand that you exchange rings on when you marry. Because the left hand, and specially the ring finger is the one that has a vein that connects directly to the heart. One can pretty much interpret this scene not only as Levi dedicating his heart to Hange, but also promising himself to them from then on. So Hange pretty much took his heart with them to their final fight. This pretty much puts a new perspective to the whole “Till death do us part” part of wedding vows exchanged. Death literally brought them apart and Hange held onto Levi’s love to the end.

Bringing this back to the whole ring collaboration: the left hand with the ring finger, the vows indicating loving each other unconditionally to the end of life, and the connection of their hearts together through the “Dedicate your Heart” war cry, this pretty much sums up the fact that Levi and Hange were as close to marrying each other as possible. The collaboration pretty much indicates that they dedicated their lives to each other.

Another post I’ve seen on twitter (link), talks about how the anime depicted Hange walking down the boardawlk towards Levi for their final conversation is similar to one walking down the aisle to meet with their future spouse. And once you see it it’s hard to ignore the similarities. I think it just makes the whole Hange and Levi being in love and devoting their hearts to each other just that much more realistic.

And isn’t it fitting how the scene right after they bid each other goodbye, Hange is seen to use the ODM gear to latch onto a structure that resembles a church? When in the mange there isn’t anything similar to that structure seen? We all know that Hajime had a fair share of input in the anime creation for this season, so I’m wondering if he had brought up the idea as one of the changes he made.

I’m now going to cry myself to sleep since this made me all emotional again. I really hope they meet in the afterlife and get the happy ending they deserve together.

Cold War between Levi and Hange: Part 3.2 - Double Date

Alright, picking up from where I left from the double date to understand Hange's cold war response to Levi over his choice at the rooftop.

Ok, so finally they reached Eren's house and this time Hange spoke (as in the manga).

I wanted to say how pretty this frame is and look at where Levi is looking at.

Everyone is looking in astonishment at the devastation of Eren's house, but Levi is looking at another angle.

I tried to double-check with the manga and noted that in the manga, it seems Levi tilted his head to look at Eren's house when they reached but Eren's house in the manga is on flat ground. In the anime, they are all standing on stairs and Eren's house and atop it. So there is no reason why Levi needed to tilt in a different angle. Moreover, when Hange asked Eren if that was his house, Levi was shown walking straight up.

So I am guessing that Levi is still observing and checking if Hange is ready to end her silent treatment after a short walk across Shiganshina. Remember they dont need words to communicate with each other🤨. And with new things to explore, Levi probably is also hoping to sense Hange's old vibes back.

Slowly back to normalcy

So I guess after a stroll, Hange's mood likely became better as the kids started to clear the debris to the basement. You can see here that Hange is slowly back to her normal self and she looked to Levi as she speak, as if looking for her usual audience. But now it is Levi's turn to throw a little tantrum at Hange.

I am thinking that his frustration started to build up and decided to do what he usually do to let off some steam - some leg exercise. He cant kick Hange in front of the kids, so he can only take it out on the debris. It is quite certain that he is not helping the kids because he is no where near the basement entrance. It could be out of his curiousity to kick around to look for any items worth investigating, or he could just be bored while waiting for Eren and Mikasa to clear the debris. But putting Hange looking at him as she finally speak her first words since Sasha's shut up at the Walltop, and his actions, I think it is likely he is frustrated too by the silent treatment and is showing it out now.

Thereafter, I think everyone tried to go back to nolmacy as they helped Eren to opened the door to the basement. Now, the blog I read pointed out 2 things. First is how Hange and Levi stood separately when trying to get the rock away, still putting a distance between them, and the second is how Hange is drawn to be excited after the basement door is opened in the manga, almost ready to go in, only to step back when Levi enter first.

Levi let it out

Now, I like this scene so much because at first glance, I thought Levi was just being his rough self. But I think about it, there could be a few reasons why he kicked the door down.

1) He is in a hurry to go back.

Why do I say that? He told Eren to hurry with the lock. And also likely he doesnt want to waste more time although the wall has been sealed. There are injured soldiers still that may need treatment. He needed to get back to Trost where the kids can be dismissed and he can settle the cold war with Hange, in private.

2) He needed to vent his frustration out. The little debris is not enough for him to kick.

Yes, I do think that this is a display of his frustration at Hange's silent treatment towards him. Remember that Hange usually will have a huge display of violence and destruction to vent her anger (all the collar grabs, table kicking etc). I personally feel that this display of physical aggression is not only his outlet of his own anger, but also something to tell Hange that he knows what is going on with her.

Now, in a therapeutic sense, Levi kicking the door is a transference of Hange's anger towards him, one that she had masked under her silent treatment towards him so far. (Her last words directly to Levi had been "He's dead"). Remember how he know when she holds it in, and she can tell him whatever she is holding in? This time round, she is not going to do that because he is the one she is angry at, and he knows it.

I just want to point out the expressions of them here, especially Hange.

The moment Levi said that he will open the door, Hange looked more shocked then Eren and Mikasa. Likely because she knew that this kick was intended for her. Probably in the absence of Eren and Mikasa, her ass would have been the receiver of the kick (cue Levi/ Moblit smartpass short story). Which is why Eren and Mikasa was still shocked but Hange knew the real intention of the kick, and finally, speaking to Levi directly now

"Hang...... on...."

All's well that ends well (Levihan crumbs)

With Hange finally talking directly to Levi, this 2 can finally be back to normal and continue to investigate the basement. You know that Levihan is back in operation when their telepathy-ness is back to normal

- the way they tell Eren to open the door and the drawer.

I know we have been robbed of this scene when they finally reached the sea in the anime....

But they added this glance at the basement instead

Come to think of it. The basement discovery basically changes everything. The sea is the evidence of what they discovered at the basement, and even Hange cannot help herself to examine the photo when Eren took it out from the book.

Instead of looking at the photo which is an exquisite piece of "painting", Levi had to glance at Hange first before looking at what they (and by extension, the dream of Erwin) had discovered.

So I guess that glance is to really just to make sure that Hange has let off her anger. So yes, that is probably the first and only time the parents had a cold war and yes, Hange does have emotions too.
