It is a kink. Intimate eye contact is in fact a fairly intense kink.

It actually happens to be one I often enjoy with people I’m very close to - making my sub look into my eyes, Sir grabbing my hair and making me look into his, etc.

It is definitely a fairly intense kink though - that would probably be too much for me outside of an established relationship.

If someone has it as an obligate kink for them, so that not doing it with their partner is a dealbreaker? Uh, I guess that is fine. Sounds kinda extreme but to each their own.

That is a very bad category to be in.

If cyborgbutterflies doesn’t want to involve a kink in her sex life, be that spanking or eye contact, that is a question for her and her Master(/other partners?).

And other people should respect that. I guess if they want to try to talk it up to her that is one thing (but should be careful in doing so), but saying “you are doing sex wrong otherwise” or “you are a bad person otherwise” is very bad.
