Why is it that so many people pity the parents of autistic children but don’t pity the autistic children who have to live with those parents?

 If you are using your autistic child to be pitied or get the wrong kind of attention, you are wrong.

If you are writing books and articles about your struggle as a parent of an autistic kid and use that as a weapon against autism itself, you are in the wrong.

If you don’t appreciate your kid for who they are and advocate for a cure for autism,

YOU ARE IN THE WRONG.

DON’T MAKE ME SAY IT TWICE.
