My oro and kabuto hc re: their canon fav foods:
Kabuto likes salt grill saury and sea bream was something he picked up during his spy missions as those dishes can be found anywhere during any seasons
Personally I feel like these are salarymen dishes bc they're healthy, pack tons of nutrients but not messy to eat (not greasy) but I'm too lazy to eat carefully around those fishbones
they're eaten for breakfast but they're also on lunchtime menu which is perfect for listening in or people watching :)
While Orochimaru likes eggs, I know it was just a joke about his snake motif, but I like to think that he didn't get to eat much meals with his parents before their passing. Kabuto definitely learned how to cook when he helped Nonou prior, naturally when he's working for Oro, he would start cooking again and starting with mostly kid menus
Oyakudon, tamagoyaki, omurice.... they're all eggs based dishes but they're warm and hearty meals ♡ maybe oro likes eggs before he picked up kabuto or he likes it after...whichever the case well :)
Adding a bit more on this
Kabuto dislikes toward raw meat is obviously due to his line of work
but Orochimaru hated cold food because of his time during the war/when he was a sanin all he ate was rations since making a campfire would've given away his position
Also because of erh.....Orochimaru's vessel only last for 3 years...I don't believe it can sustain proper body heat if it's literally decaying slowly :') he would appreciate a meal that could warm him up
