Concept: It’s 6 years from now, you are vacationing with your other half in a stunning oceanview apartment that you found online, it’s night, the air is crisp and the sound of the crashing waves makes you think about your younger self who was so terrified about things not falling into place; you wish you could go back in time and show yourself how great things are going to be
that old jodie foster interview when she’s 17 and they ask her what kind of guy she’d be into and she jus raises her eyebrows, looks at the camera, and goes “….. hah” is the absolute best embodiment of the Gay Experience when ur not out
Happy 2020! May this decade be gayer than the last!
What if everything turns out for the best? What if it turns out way better than you could have ever imagined?
“Thirty years from now I want to be drunk off my ass at a family Christmas party flirting with my wife like the day we met.”

Always try to win her that way you’ll never lose her
ppl: if you want a girlfriend why don’t you just talk to girls?
me:
I feel like one strange advantage of being a lesbian/a woman who’s attracted to other women is that it puts my own body insecurities into perspective, because when I dislike something about my body I think “would I stop being attracted to a woman if she had stretch marks/acne/a little extra body fat etc.” and the answer is always no
A Straight: I didn’t know you were gay.
Me: I didn’t know you were straight.

not to harp on this point but the care with which a girl you’ve known for maybe three weeks will ask you “what’s wrong?” if you look even mildly distressed is more emotional labor than you’d receive from any man over the course of six lunar cycles
if my dad sees me crying, he pretends he’s getting a call so that we don’t have to have an awkward conversation, but a drunk girl who stumbled across me in a public bathroom would literally become my emotional triage nurse
Two Women by Andrew Loomis (1892-1959)
anyway this is my take on a new lesbian pride flag
