#it's so strange #his solo songs about depression and loneliness are hitting the charts #but I'm crying listening to all the happy energetic songs #he's arguably he vocal person kpop re: depression and mental illness #and he was very open about his own struggles #yet he smiled so much despite his pain #and loved and was loved by many in return #because he shone so brightly for everyone who was struggling #but in the end #the one he couldn't love was himself #I hate it so much when doctors and normal people say #just love yourself #(bc haha don't you think I haven't tried? don't you think I want to?)#bc there's a certain truth to it #but failing to love yourself isn't the source of the problem is it?#it's more of a symptom #but then the source of the problem is your own self #it's not like this is a new problem either #the source the symtoms and arguably even the means/rational to break out is well known by now #but how do you win against yourself #I don' really know where I'm going with this #but maybe something will change after this #I've been trying #but I can always try harder

I got drunk and woke up my entire sleeping family, like some ahjussi. It had been my number one goal in life, you know, to make my mom and sister happy. They both woke up and told me they were happy. Sing on in heaven, and watch over the boys and shawols you left behind. We aren’t angry, we aren’t going to curse you, you won’t be remembered for how you died but for how you lived. You touched millions of hearts and graced a gift upon this world that can never be replaced. You’ll live on in our hearts and within the happiest memories we shared these last ten years. Go In peace, this is our final goodbye.Let’s meet again.

I adore Consort Jing. Can’t be trampled indeed. She holds her peace for YEARS, so many years, content to be safely disregarded, but the second her son moves into the political line of fire, the second she learns who else is still alive for her to protect, who else is acting to back her and her son up, she steps all the way up and slowly wraps the paranoid, unstable, kinslaying Emperor around her little finger. Her self-control, her calm, placid, near-invisible manipulation, her kindness and her ruthlessness in protection of what’s hers. Her nerve. I love her so much.

Excuse the random babble. It’s just that, after Lin Shu/Mei Changsu/Su Zhe, she and General Meng are my favourites (with Marquis Yan coming up just behind them). I love her.
