stop reblogging old shit: a tutorial
i am once again crawling out of my pit of inactivity and coming to you as a lifťbĺr veteran to tell you to stop sharing outdated tips.
it's become increasingly apparent that the older this community gets, the younger and more inexperienced the userbase becomes. with that, comes a shortage of actually useful tips. and with that, comes the incessant reblogging of posts from days of shòplifting gone-by, the oldest ones ive seen dating all the way back to 2014. twenty fucking fourteen.
I dont think it needs to be explained why this is bad. the world was a very different place back in these days. what we do has only become more difficult, and companies quickly wise up to new tactics or methods. reblogging posts or making new posts recycling tips that were originally posted in 2017 is going to help nobody.
i like to give people, especially new members of the community, the benefit of the doubt though (despite however much danger it puts themselves and others in). i realize tumblr can be a confusing platform to navigate, and accessing timestamps for these old posts is surprisingly out of the way. so heres a tutorial for those who need it. this is on mobile, but im sure navigating thru desktop settings is not too different.
first youll go to your settings. the little cog icon on your blog page.
you'll find your dashboard preferences here.
and here you'll find the option to show timestamps on posts, reblogs, and notes. it is on when the slider is blue.
just like hiding your likes and follows, this is a very basic precaution to help mitigate 2 things.
1. the spread of misinformation
2. people who dont like us finding us and doxxing us. it used to be very common in the community to use hashtags, and much of these older posts are still under the hashtags. so when you reblog old posts, dissenters can simply find your blog through the notes. it completely defeats the purpose of not using hashtags, youre still contributing to the problem.
Its time to steal spooky shit
I already seen some hallo decs it’s not even August yet 😂😂
For real! I’m like, capitalism is really putting its back into it, huh?
uhmm so shein won't refund if u have more than 2 dnas within 180 days just a heads up lolll
sorry you lost your cash :( thanks for the warning
At work today my co-worker came up to the register with like two handfuls of hard tags and screamers and on the outside I was like “Holy shit. Fucking crooks.” Inside however I was like “Holy shit I wanna see that haul.”
By the way, I am currently employed at a R0$$ So if anyone has any questions even though it’s literally the easiest store. Just ask me.
ayy i always want extra help. what’s the lp situation like?
Okay so I’m going to tell you what I know so far because LP was with me for literally a WEEK and then the company got rid of ours because we had such low loss (LMAO but now we dont). I’ll talk to a coworker of mine who has worked with them for years though and update this post. Take all this with salt though because these are for stores in my region but all stores re different.
What I do know/various other facts since I work as everything but LP:
-They and all employees are not allowed to step off the curb/sidewalk next to the store. So if you grab some shit and run into the parking lot then congrats you have won. Keep in mind though that employees that feel like they need to be heroes and random customers might chase you. I say “not afraid to be fired” because if we are caught doing this we are automatically terminated. We aren’t even allowed to carry furniture to an elderly persons car, they have to pull up to the curb.
-We aren’t allowed to check your purse/reusable bag unless you allow us to (some people are so afraid of being seen as theives they actually come to us randomly and are like “I just want you guys to know I came in to use the bathroom and didn’t steal anything”) So if you come in, conceal and leave but you beep. We just wave you off and are usually like “probably your phone!” If you bought something though like sheets, clothing, or comforters. We will just check to see if we missed something and if there’s nothing we just wave you off again lmao.
-If we see you conceal then you will have LP and SA circling you but the SA can not approach you ever. It’s pretty much intimidation. We simply aren’t allowed to. Take this with a grain of salt though because there are always outliers. A manager is allowed to approach you apparently but ours is fucking passive and won’t approach. Just sighs.
-Don’t conceal in the fitting room unless your local store has people who just don’t fucking care. At our store not only do we count every single piece (i.e a 2 piece swimsuit counts as 2 items instead of 1) we pat down the clothes to check for hidden ones, and we shake it sometimes to make hidden things fall out. Also if you don’t come out with all the items, SA and LP will be notified and will follow you.
-If you’re going to swap tags, do it with similar items. Our registers read little descriptions of the items on our screens so that black top you want might read “Black ruffle top” but the kid tag that you swapped it with will say “Girl Pink skirt” Same thing for shoes. We also have the price written on the bottom for situations like this.
-Even if you grab some purses and run off into the sunset, we don’t call the police. This frustrates my managers to no end but we simply just stand there literally helpless.
-If you see the stock teaming putting electronics and accessories on the floor, follow them. We aren’t allowed to hardtag in the stock room so we do it on the floor and if you see us and say “Oh that is what I’ve been looking for! Could I see that?” and it’s not something we need to spider web, then we’ll just hand it to you and you can say “Thanks, I think I’ll buy this!” Rarely do we call you back to tag it, and that’s usually just the dedicated people. You can tell who’s stock because we have those big metal rolling racks called Hummers, and a stack of literal blue bins filled with shit. We also look miserable to be pulling that shit with us.
-Don’t be rude. If you’re rude everyone will know fast and that gains more attention on you because they’ll be watching and thinking “Ugh there’s that person.” and will customer service the shit out of you. Polite people though? A happy memory but zero attention on you unless you do something sus.
-Speaking of Sus. Just be calm and relaxed. If you look nervous when a SA is around you or you keep glancing at us then that makes you sus and we are forced to follow you around.
-Don’t buy luggage, purses, and backpacks and fill it with shit before check out. because we are suppose to check the insides before finishing the transaction and get in hella trouble if we don’t (Even when I do my manager still goes “Did you check their bag? They were in an awful hurry” like yeah dude. Not everyone loves standing at the front for 3 minutes just staring at their phone.)
-Unless your store makes a hella ton of money then nobody is watching those cameras. Infact our managers desk faces AWAY from the monitor. So if the manager(s) on the floor you’re golden.
-Pretty sure this is basically every store but if you return something without a receipt then we use your license # to track and there’s a limit that if you hit you no longer can do no receipt returns. Anything over $50 requires a manager to confirm and if they’re sus they can turn you away. It’s also store credit but if you have a gift card we can put it on there too which is awesome because we waste so much paper for those returns :/
That’s all I can think of right now but I’ll add whatever my coworker tells me tomorrow because she has been working with the company for YEARS. Hope this helps you guys. We are such an easy picking store god damn.
Boosting inside info for my American pals. OMFG, you are a legend for sharing this! <3
verrrrry intewesting

Hey guys I need help asap.
I was just chillin on my main account when i noticed that this account followed one of my sideblogs. I did not do this. I havent used that sideblog in years, and only 1 person knows it's mine. Anyone know wtf happened? Did I get hacked or smthn?
A GUIDE TO FORBIDDEN L1FTING:
Aka, l1fting from sm@ll bus1nesses
As a preface, I've worked in my own familys small business before, as a cashier, vendor, and as basically loss prevention.
That experience has changed my views on lifting from small businesses. So, I'm writing this mini guide.
A few rules first:
- l1ft from 7rump supporting businesses
- do not lift anything that takes a long time or expensive materials to make. Even if they support him, they still have a family to feed. Don't be scummy.
Now, time for the actual guide.
STEP ONE: what to l1ft
DO:
Go small. Something like chapstick. If there's a bowl of random bracelets or something like that? They don't care. They probably buy those beads for pennies. Those items always have the biggest profit margin.
DON'T:
go towards specialty items. If the store specializes in bath bombs, don't touch em. S0ap? Go to D0llar tree ffs. Only exception would be like, a sticker stand or something. They actually don't care at all. Like not one bit. Those are so cheap to make LOL. If there is jewelry made with actual stones, don't do those either. They're more expensive. Don't try hand painted items or prints, either. That's just a dick move.
STEP TWO: how to do it
If it's in a store? Just make sure there's no cameras and no one watching you. In a craft market type deal, the owner is gonna be watching you unless they're distracted. Just wait until they're distracted, but don't hover by a table for more than 5 minutes and don't come back again unless you buy something then. Kinda sus.
STEP THREE: idk
If it's small the owner won't notice or care. If it's big you just ruined someone's life.
That's it thanks you
Again not been active lately, and I haven't Iift3d anything other than chocolate bars in months
And that’s on what?💅🏼

im angry >:(
DO NOT REBLOG THOSE “reblog this for luck!!” OR SOMETHING STUPID, THATS HOW ANTIS FIND YOU LIKE ???
I've been absent lately sorry lol ...... Busy with school n stuff. But I plan on hitting h0t top1c for pride stuff soon.
PSA
REBLOGGING “ACTIVE LIFTER” POSTS IS HOW WE GET EXPOSED. STOP DOING IT.
Also, stop posting things asking for lifting buddies in your area!! What the hell are you doing??? You just narrowed down your area so much. You might think your area is still huge, but once someone starts paying attention to you… One slip-up can be detrimental. You posted that you went to ulta? Congrats now they will watch the ultas in that area. You posted a haul from an ulta? Even better now they can try to match missing stock from a certain day. Will they catch you? Maybe not. Is there a chance? Absolutely. They may not be able to catch you from that visit, but they will watch for you.
Don’t you guys realize that ANYBODY can make a lifting blog? A police officer can make a lifting blog, a loss prevention officer can make a lifting blog, A DOG CAN MAKE A LIFTING BLOG.
Putting “I block all non-lifting blogs” in your bio doesn’t make you safe!! Neither does “role play only”!! I know reblogs and notes are important to you but don’t make them more important than your anonymity and FREEDOM.
It’s hard to tell when someone is legit and genuine. Even be careful in personal messages.
Honestly take it from me. In my job I get to see shit like this happen all the time. People get caught because they think the internet is a safe haven. They think that they are protected.
They’re not.
Stay safe babes, xo
I never thought of this wow thanks for the info
I feel like I'm immune to p1ckpocketing while traveling bc I l1ft. Like I know how to body c0nceal all my shit AND how th1eves think
