“I like the paranormal ones. Those seem so real I can’t watch them alone!” She laughed, finishing up the sweeping before smiling. “Much better!”
“we’ll have to watch one together, then” he suggests. “I’m sure the counselors will let us use the rec room one night.” He looks around. “Oh man, it looks much better than before!”

He chuckled and nodded, “one camping expedition coming right up.” He shrugged lightly, “dunno, if you want them to you’re more than welcome to invite them. I won’t say no to that. We could have a big camp campout thing…yea that sounded less dorky in my head but we could totally do it.”
Liam shrugs. “Maybe we could just go by ourselves? If that wouldn’t be weird. I think I just kind of want to get away from camp.” Everything got a little loud. “But that doesn’t sound dorky though. A campout sounds like a lot of fun.”

Annabeth giggled, reaching to pat his arm for a moment. “I love horror movies too, but I always have to watch something funny after before heading to bed.” She nodded, sweeping the dust out of the cabin. “And maybe, and for all we know, it’s protecting those that wander into the woods.”
“Horror movies aren’t that scary,” he says. “Anything can be funny if you just laugh at all the stupid reactions the actors give.” He hadn’t really watched many horror omvies himself, but it seemed like the most logical thing.

“She really is, but she’s sweet.” Jessica smiled widely. “And thank you! I tend to get a bit obsessed with the details until I’m not happy with it until it almost looks lifelike.” She twitched her hand, adding small fluffs of fur to the squirrels tail.
“Well, you’re doing a really good job,” he assures her. “Have you been at camp long? I feel like I haven’t seen you around.”

“Yeah, I guess you’re right with that.” Finn shrugged. “I’ve just spend a lot of time in hospitals and you pick up a bit here and there when talking to the nurses and staff. I like learning that kind of things.”
“A lot of time in hospitals? Are you, like, studying to become a doctor or something?” Liam asks. He looks up and down at Finn. “You have really steady hands, so it’d probably be a good career choice.”

Annabeth paused in her sweeping, turning to grin at LIam. “Do you have an ax fetish?” She teased, patting his cheek. “And a pet wolf? Hmmm, maybe that’s where the white wolf came from?”
“No,” Liam scoffs, feigning hurt. “But, I do really like horror movies. Or, like, I like horror movies but horror movies don’t like me. I’m a bit of a wimp when it comes to scary things,” he admits. “The wolf thing, though, very possible. It did seem overly friendly to humans. It must’ve been used to them when it was alive.”

“Daisy is my nickname for Annabeth. She just kinda pops up out of nowhere. Like a daisy.” Jessica smiled as Liam sat, turning the sketchbook to show him the detailed picture of the tree and squirrel that she had seen earlier. “Just doodling.”
Liam laughs. “Yeah, she kind of is like a daisy, I suppose. In a weird flower sort of way.” He looks at the drawing properly, impressed by the details Jessica has seemed to pencil in. “That’s really good,” he says, “like really good. I’m sufficiently impressed.”

Annabeth smiled. “You are not. You just touched a broken mirror.” She tsked, kissing his cheek before boucning off into the living room and kitchen area. “We should bring blankets here too, oh look! A broom!”
“Blankets would be a good,” Liam agrees easily. He follows her back into the main part of the cabin. “You know who probably lived here?” He begins. He waits a moment before cracking a smile. “An ax wielding murderer and his pet wolf.”

Jessica’s smile softned. “Ah, so you’re Liam.” She nodded, patting his hand abesntly before continuing her sketch. “Daisy talks about you.” She smiled. “And thanks, you do just fine at compliments, it’s one of my better features after all.”
“Yeah, that’s me -- sorry, but who’s Daisy?” He asks. He looks around for a moment before settling beside her on the ground. She didn’t look like was too wary of company at least. “What are you drawing?”

“You ok?” Annabeth frowned, walking into the room to open the window over on the far wall. She moved over to gently take his hand, eyeing the small cut. “no glass in it at least.” She smiled, giving the finger a quick kiss before humming and turning in place. “This was a nice sized cabin, really.” She mused.
“Yeah, I’m good,” he replies, letting her survey his finger. “I’m just a walking disaster. I’ll probably fall into the lake on the canoe ride back.” He looks around the empty room. “Yeah, it’s pretty nice. Whoever used to live here was really living it up.”

Jessica grinned widely at the teen in front of her. “It’s ok, I was just doodling anyway. Hi, I’m Jessica, nice to meet you. You can call me Jess.” She sat up, holding out a hand for him to shake, taking him in. “You have very lovely eyes.” She hummed, eyeing him up and down.
“Nice to meet you as well. I’m Liam,” he says, offering her a shy smile. He took her hand and shook it. “Err, thanks. I’m sure they’re very... eyely. You have nice... hair? I’m sorry, I’m really bad at compliments.”
Jessica hummed, kissing Finn’s cheek as she left the mess hall, scooping up her sketch book and pencils from her cabin before heading to the woods, sprawling out in the grass. She smiled, sketching carefully.
She jumped a few minutes later when she heard a twig snap. “Hello?” She looked up.
“Shit,” Liam murmurs. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt you.” He shuffles awkwardly, looking around. “I was trying to walk by without bugging you.”

“Either, just let me know so I can get out the stuff we need from storage. Like sleeping bags unless you want to rough it full out.” He looked at him and nodded, “then maybe we should go camping let you feel the wide open for once. Give you some freedom.”
“Let’s do it,” Liam rushes out, blushing instantly at how it sounded. “Camping, I mean. Though, we should probably bring sleeping bags. I’m not quite sure I’m ready to completely rough it out.” His mind jumps to the island, but focuses back on Griffon. “Is it just going to be the two of us, then? Do you think anyone else would want to come?”

“Even better to throw people off our trail. ” she nodded, kissing his jaw before starting to open windows, dusting as she went.
“That it does,” he says, moving through the small cabin. There wasn’t much there, and a lot of the furniture was obviously taken with the previous owner. Dark spots on the wall confirmed there were once pictures that adorned the wall, evidence of a place well loved. He moved into the bedroom which also acted as a bathroom if the portable toilet was anything to go by. However, all that was left in the room was a large dresser with a mirror on top. The class cracked as if someone hucked an object at the center. He moved a hand out and touched the class, hissing and pulling back his hand to suck on his finger after pricking it on a piece of jarred class.

“Yeah, but we have to go through the forest to actually get to it,” he points out.

“You are a bit on the clumsy side, hm?” Finn grinned as he opened the kit and started working on Liam’s knees. “How can you leave that thing at home? I’m more or less permanently attached to it.”
“Clumsy is an understatement.” Liam laughs. “I don’t have a cellphone,” he explains, “I’ve never had a cellphone actually. So, you can’t really miss what you’ve never had, right?” He watches Finn work on his knees, flinching everyone once in awhile. “Where did you learn to fix things up like this? Everyone I know just rinses it off with water and calls it a day.”

He nodded, “then I assume you’re my first volunteer for a camping adventure.” He smiled at him then nodded again listening to his words. “S’pose for some that’s how it feels, and for others the walls can be too confining. What do you do at home when it gets too closed in?”
“So, has this hiking trip also turned into a camping trip or are we saving that for another day?” Liam shrugs, knowing that Griffon is digging to try to get him to reveal something he doesn’t want to share or probably shouldn’t share. “I usually just stay in my room.” In the closet, with the door firmly shut closed. “Probably with like the lights off or something. But, then, doesn’t that make it closed in still?”
