since I've cranked up my hyperfixation with deltarune to max, I just can't stop thinking about my blorbo Kris. they're the only human they probably have seen for their entire life with a town full of monsters yes? (excluding dess is a human theory) it's so messed up to see them be controlled by someone like them behind the screen and it just hurts me more because they have someone that can understand them, someone that they can relate to, find comfort in knowing that they're not the only human but it's just so incomprehensible to them in their game world that all they can do is rip us out of them only to realise we're a parasite they can't live without.

the existence of the weird route tho it just shows like that one lady from a performance art video ,who almost lost her life, just like how we can find community with each other, we can also destroy one another if we believe it's a part of the show and it has no real consequences. until that lady get up and the entire audience who went from brushing her hair to almost shooting her realised oh she's stil an autonomous being and was disturbed when they realised what they were doing and how awfully sadistic it was that all they could do in the realisation was to run away from her. Kris on the other hand isn't real so the majority won't even realise this message and I just needed to ramble about this because thinking about my blorbo just hurts

i want to clarify that i'm not really romanticizing this dynamic, it was kind of the whole point. 😓 the theme here isn't romance but rather delusion. i tried to make samarie unsettling and marina unusually cutesy to mimic samarie's POV to get that point across but i'm not sure if i was successful.
