The point of going to the library had been to force himself into doing some homework. For close to an hour, in all fairness, it had worked. Liam had gotten a solid half of his mythology essay finished and it wasn’t even due until next week, putting him ahead of schedule for the first time in his life. In light of this, he’d stopped focusing on the homework and had instead put his talents toward creating a little paper-football that he balanced on the desk and flicked into the air. He stood up out of his chair on instinct when it flew right into somebody’s head, trying and mostly failing to suppress laughter. “I’m so sorry,” he chuckled, going around the table and picking up the makeshift football from where it had fallen on the ground. “Didn’t mean to hit you. I, uh...” He jerked his thumb sheepishly over his shoulder. “I exceeded my attention limit, I guess.”
