Now I’m not someone to complain usually, but this is the hottest summer in the UK for years… and have we had one picture of Miles with his shirt off? No we have not.
How are we supposed to survive this heat if we don’t get to see something hotter?
I mean, a little one of him and Max having morning coffee in his garden? A pic of him washing the mini? How about straightforward sun bathing?
I’m just saying. I know he’s busy but a quick pic… pretty please. I’ve been playing Blame It On The Summertime loads.

Ok, so I was watching this live performance of "Star Treatment" (killer performance too, definitely worth watching the whole thing) from 2023...
And at about 3:58, there's a bit of a lyric change. At the line "baby, that isn't how it looked tonight", instead of "baby", he sings what sounds like "mon chern" (with a heavy emphasis on the n's in both syllables).
Now, I don't speak French, but to me this seems suspiciously like the term of endearment "mon cher", literally translating to "my dear". However. This is explicitly the male version of the term, directed at a boy or man, and almost always used to denote a very close relationship, often (but not always) romantic in nature. And to me, the original context of "baby" in the song heavily implies romantic connotations. (I'll have to link the Milex "Star Treatment" theory posts I've seen in an edit, can't find them rn)
From my (very brief) research, it's not a term that French people throw around casually. Which, yes, I know Alex Turner is thoroughly English, but he's performed French songs before (e.g. Les Cactus) and his current girlfriend Louise Verneuil is French, so I'm not sure this could be entirely attributed to cultural ignorance.
Admittedly, the pronunciation is kind of throwing me off, especially the hard "-ern" sound at the end. (Most of the audio I've heard is more of an "eh" sound.) But there's no mistaking it for the feminine version, "ma cherie", and I can't think of any other words in French it might be mistaken for - maybe "mon coeur" (my heart), but that has a hard "c" at the beginning so it seems unlikely. It doesn't sound like anything I know in English, either (lol).
Anyways, if there are any French people willing to chime in, either on the audio or any language/cultural implications, please let me know! Very interested to hear others' opinions on this.

This is an interesting question. I would say that in France, those sorts of "pet names" are mainly quite strong, and therefore, they aren't
Just a small OOC post for everyone and anyone who may someday rp as France or use him in a fanfiction. An error I often see is a misuse of “
Even if you don't speak any French at all you are likely to know the words cher and chérie - but beware, because their use in modern France
