A creamy palm rested upon the desk when my black eyes rose to meet my teacher’s own—a violet flame became alive.  I had no intention to mock his good hearted wish for my academic success yet—

"I do not want to become closer to him than I already am."

Σσ; Oh. Have they already gotten to that phase? He could feel a bit of smug satisfaction rise up from within himself.

"What do you mean?" Kamiya asked innocuously. He was a bit surprised at how assertive the sickly, pale youth was now being. Regardless, soon the teenager would find himself bound by the threads of fate that were already in the process of weaving itself into his and Tetsuo's paths.

My lips felt dry when an unknown anxiety rose inside my heart.

"Shironuma—Do I really need tutoring from him?"

At last..I voiced my concern.

Σσ; The man raised his glasses with two fingers and bowed his head slightly down. Under the right light, one might tell he had on the faintest smirk. "Shironuma is one of the top students in math and science, if not the very top student. There's no reason why you shouldn't be tutored by him." He put his hand down and confronted Youji with a direct gaze. "Besides, this could be a chance for both of you to get to know each other more, right?" He added a noticeable smile at the end.

"Oh sorry, I must have walked into the wrong room…" Elijah looked to the door and then back to older gentleman, smiling nervously.

"My apologies Mr…?"

Σσ; "Kamiya," he finished the teenager's sentence. Since it was the weekend, he didn't wear his usual white lab coat but instead had on a simple black suit with a blue dress shirt and a tie that resembled the color of pale mustard. "Well, if you walked into a cafe to drink or something, I don't think it's the wrong room." He gave a soft smile. It couldn't be helped though; the cafe didn't exactly look like one from the outside.

”..Arigatou.”shaking my head in a gentle move, my teeth gently pierced through my bottom lip as my thoughts swirled inside my mind.

"I wanted to..confirbm something.."

Σσ; "Is that so?" He felt his curiosity piqued. It was unusual for Youji to ask something like this. He wondered what it could be about. "Then what is it?"
