Tumblr weirdness since the “adult content” ban

Reblog if you’re getting innocent posts flagged, have seen actual porn in your feed, or are getting followed by porn bots. I’ve heard of pictures of cats and birds being flagged, famous roman statues...what have you had flagged?

Lots of people are getting unsolicited porn/dick pics etc in their inboxes. Apparently messages aren’t filtered.

How many porn bots follow you each week?

A Lot of people are being followed by at least 6 porn bots per week.

The adult content ban has blocked a lot of legitimate blogs, but these bots are still going crazy.

What kinds of posts have you had flagged?

Since Tumblrs unenforceable “adult content” ban, alot of us have had all kinds of posts flagged that aren't porn.

Some of the things I’ve had flagged include

A picture of mars

Science posts

Various posts on technology (and I’m not talking about sex tech).

My followers have reported these kinds of posts being flagged

A picture of their pet bird

A picture of their cat

Pictures of different kinds of fruit/vegetables

Anime art (the non hentai variety)

Pictures of famous roman statues

Apparently, some people have been receiving unsolicited Dick/butt pics in Tumblr messages. My guess is Tumblr’s filter does not work with messages. This type of content was easier to avoid before the ban, because it had to be flagged as “sensitive” and could easily be filtered. Now that its being sent in random messages its alot harder to filter.

Meanwhile, porn bots are still here. Most now just post women in skimpy outfits. To get the real porn, you have to click the links they post. Sometimes they’ll instant message you with unsolicited real porn, which has been getting through Tumblrs filters.

What kind of posts have you had flagged? Have you noticed any other weirdness on Tumblr since the “adult content” ban?

NSFW ban weirdness

Apparently, people are still seeing porn gifs and photos on Tumblr. Are you still seeing them, despite the “adult content” ban?

When they make posts warning about creepers on this site, the posts get flagged for violating guidelines.

What kind of weirdness have you seen?
