1. simply an induced miscarriage, that involves taking methotrexate and misoprostol.

or

2. vacuum aspiration - gentle suction to pull the fetus and placenta out of the uterus. involves no dismemberment.

i’d like to remind you that d&e abortions are usually done when the fetus has serious birth defects or when there’s risk to the mother’s safety.

I think that it’s misleading because people might get the wrong message - pretty much no one is aborting fetuses after 14 weeks with no medical reason, and yet you still choose to show them.

Okay so that study that was in 2014 said that around 66% of abortions were in that range, and what I read from 2016 said that abortions around that time had gone down, to 27.9%. I haven’t found a more recent study, but from what it seems, they’re not the majority of abortions anymore.

I don’t disagree that there’s a big difference with how they look or how much they’ve developed (I sincerely apologize if that’s how it seemed, sometimes it’s hard for me to gather my thoughts correctly), but that will never change that they’re still alive and still human. I don’t see how killing one is okay but killing another isn’t, they were the same person the whole time. As for the image of the baby, it’s like I said, they were the same the whole time, and although I usually am eager to share what unborn babies look like at all stages, some people aren’t for fear of offending others so they choose to use born babies instead. I’m guessing that’s what the maker of that photo was thinking? It’s also a very simple message, I didn’t see anything wrong with it. But now that I know how you took it, and that surly others will as well, I’ll keep it in mind to use different pictures. I wish that people understood this about pro choice people - we do not ~support abortion, and we think that it’s very important to prevent it, but it’s also immoral to force a woman to continue a pregnancy, because it’s usually way more traumatizing to her than the fetus. In the past, women would risk their lives trying to get an abortion, and this is the reason why I support abortion being legal, even if I don’t think that it’s “right”.

We, pro choicers, do not support that. However, sometimes women get pregnant despite being responsible, due to rape or failed contraception, and pregnancy can be very traumatizing to them. Again, just the fact that women in the past were willing to douche with hot whiskey, starve or drink poison just to terminate the pregnancy, is telling and I think that we should value the woman’s mental and physical wellbeing before the life of a non-sentient human being. By banning abortions, we’d deprive women of their right for their bodies, and I’m against that.

I see where you’re coming from, but I still cannot support the killing of an innocent human being. Whether or not an unborn baby that young can feel pain doesn’t matter to me, no one deserves to die in such a way. I’ve seen abortion procedure videos during each trimester, they’re absolutely disgusting. I fully believe without a doubt that ripping an unborn child limb from limb, crushing its skull, or suctioning it out piece by piece, is absolutely more immoral than asking a women to carry her child.

In many cases, women have suffered from abortion. Many women have been physically and mentally hurt by it, and I’ve met some who deeply regret their abortion. I believe that this world is full of suffering, and no one can escape it. I don’t believe it should be legal for a woman to kill her child just to escape temporary suffering (although pregnancy as a whole shouldn’t be seen as something to suffer from. It’s absolutely beautiful that women can create and carry new life), and possibly gain long lasting suffering in the future.

With that said, I fully support and wish to someday volunteer at pregnancy crisis centers, who help thousands of women in need partially, but mostly completely, free of charge, pre and postnatal. I completely understand that pregnancy can be scary, especially when it was unplanned or forced upon by a rapist. I believe women who have suffered something like that need support, not abortion. Killing an innocent human will not take away the pain that the guilty one caused, in fact I’ve known survivors of rape say that their abortion made it worse, and the ones who chose life have said that their child helped them through their trauma. I simply do not believe abortion is good on any level.

Also; this probably isn’t very helpful as I can’t remember where I read it, but last I knew, most women who got abortions did so for no other reason than they simply didn’t want a child, despite putting a child up for adoption is an option that is always available.

Okay, that’s your point of view. But I’m pretty sure that at 1st trimester you usually get a pill, so there’s no ripping and tearing.

I agree. Pregnant women are not incubators, they are mothers with their babies life’s in their hands. Pregnancy is not just a discomfort, it is the nurturing of a human childs life and a HUGE responsibility not to be taken lightly and certainly not to be “terminated.” After all, your child is inside of you! Human bodies aren’t public property and no human has the right to dismember another, especially the weakest and most vulnerable of all.

"But did you have sex" first of all, 10 years old can't consent to sex. Second, even if they could, consent to sex is not conset to carryng a pregnancy for 9 months and giving birth. Consent is specific and can be revoked. This goes to show that you don't care about fetuses, you only care that pregnancy is used as a punishment for people who took part in sexual activity. A lot of things amuse me about abortion fans. Thinking they’re being scientific when they claim an unborn human being isn’t alive or human is always gonna have the top spot.

However, believing that they are some kind of revolutionary, counter-cultural movement is pretty wild all on its own.

ABORTION IS THE ESTABLISHMENT. ALL THE ABORTION HEROES ARE BOOMERS.

The revolution is the pro-life movement. The one the law is set against? The one you guys keep trying to sue? The one that is practically outlawed entirely in Canada? When it comes to life one person should not choose whether that life deserves to live or not. Everyone whether their male, female or some other made up gender knows the risks involved with sex and what the outcome is.

There is no reason why someone would not know that having sex with someone of the opposite sex can result in a baby being conceived. If you’re a Pro-choicer reading this understand that the only reason why you’re alive today is that your mother chose to have you, if you were born in this generation you would’ve been cut out and dumped in a bin.

To say that it’s a woman’s right to whether she wants the baby or not is not where the woman’s rights should end, rather it should end on whether she wants to have sex or not.
