Brandon: I can't help you.
Brandon: Don't have idea where he is.
Bri: What’s wrong with you?
Bri: Ugh.
Bri: How would you like if I owed you one? Big time?
Liam ✉️ Brandon
Bran: I've considered another country.
Bran: Even another continent.
Bran: have you been to Europe?
Liam: Just Paris and London.
Liam: How about Australia? It's warm, it's pretty.
Liam: Sure, most things can kill you, but, they might still seem like less of a threat than Sabrina in her angry mode!
Sabrina ✉️ Bran
Bran: Do I look like his babysitter?
Bran: Text him if you need anything from him.
Bri: I did. And I called. He just wouldn't pick up.
Bri: Which is why I'm asking you. I need a favor!
anatomyofher:
Sigh escaped his lips. He felt like arguing with a little child. “Bri, I understand you want to prove yourself.” He started. “I really do, I wanted this same. To prove everyone I’m worth more than my parents ever thought I was.” Small sigh escaped him. “But in the end all that matters are people around you and your health. What if you overworked yourself, what if you end in hospital just like Liv not so long ago.” He said quietly not wanting to start any kind of fight with her.
He didn’t know details of what happened but what he knew was enough to put 2 and 2 together. After year of so of dating Liv found her boyfriend cheating on her with some random girl from the bar. She acted like nothing happened and it didn’t bother her, like he was just a dust under her shoe but she worked more, she withdrew and closed herself in her room and one afternoon they found her passed out. She worked so much forgetting about food only drinking energy drinks. Her body collapsed and she was hurried to hospital.
Brandon still didn’t understand how none of them see anything, how good Liv was at pretending and he was afraid Bri would be even better. After the accident they haven’t talked about it, everything perfectly normal like anything happened.
“Being adult is also taking care of yourself. Nutritioning your body, resting, resetting yourself so you can forget about the work and before you say anything. By resetting I don’t mean alcohol.” He took a deep breath.
“Ok, open this damn door before I leave this box here.” For a moment he was quiet waiting for the door to be open. Coming inside Sabrina’s apartment felt like coming home. It was funny thought for him. When he was a child he barely felt like this in his own home and yet as an adult he felt this way only in two places: his own apartment he shared with his best friend and the one owned by the blonde sisters.
“I won’t only cook for you. You don’t have to stay long with us but at least eat dinner with use, drink the glass of your fancy wine and be with us for two hours and we won’t bug you to stay longer. Please Bri, say yes.” He said biting his lower lip.
Sabrina rolled her eyes at Brandon’s evident insistence. “This isn’t moving on,” she shook her head. “This might actually be the exact opposite of that,” Bri mentioned, pushing some stray strands of her hair behind her ear. “Don’t you see? This isn’t about proving anything to them anymore, Brandon!” She finally snapped. “I need this. I need to show myself that this wasn’t all in vain. My whole life,” she spoke with frustration, sighing heavily, “My whole life I’ve been working to achieve something. I don’t know what that something is, but at least this means I’ll have something that I can say: hey, I made it. This is about honor now.” She was adamant. Who knew, maybe once she reached her goal, she would decide it wasn’t what she wanted after all. Until then, that was her motivation.
Sabrina’s expression scrunched up in a frown. She could remember what had happened to Liv vividly. How could she not? Bri felt as if it were her fault. With the two of them working frantic schedules, they rarely ever saw one another. They were absorbed in their own little worlds, not paying attention to much of anything else. She didn’t know how long Liv had been unconscious, and it pained her to realize she might have been oblivious to it in case she hadn’t chosen to order something that night and thought of asking her sister whether she wanted it as well, but she wouldn’t answer. The door was locked, so Sabrina tried to call Olivia’s phone, and that went straight to voicemail. The boys had to come over and break the door. Upon seeing Liv’s limp frame like that, Bri immediately assumed the worst. Without reaction, Bri began to sob loudly. One of the guys called the emergency because she couldn’t do it. It was awful, and Bri would have preferred if Brandon hadn’t brought it up.
“I was going there,” Bri contended. After all, alcohol did seem like a fine way to reset. “And, I eat, so you don’t have to worry about that. I will have plenty of time to rest once I’m done.” She reiterated.
The key scraped the lock a couple of times before actually going in the hole. The entire keychain tinkled as she twisted the key, opening the door. Wine did not seem like a bad idea at all, Bri considered as she entered the apartment. It might not have been the most organized place in the world, but it was cozy and had its charm.
Bri faced Brandon as he made his proposition. “Two hours, huh? Do I get t, I don’t know, pick a movie?”

anatomyofher:
She rolled her eyes at the mention of her older sister. “I don’t think she says no a lot to her coworkers, I think we are the only one she liked to say no to.” She shrugged a little not exactly understanding why her sister felt the need to hang out with her coworkers, most of the ones Liv had a chance to meet where uptight, annoying and full of themselves. It was an image that in Liv’s mind didn’t fit Sabrina. “I just wished she actually found the time for us.” She shrugged a little, trying to hid how disappointed she was everytime Bri said no to them. Sometimes she got feeling that the only person Bri related to was Brandon. There were times Liv wondered if there was something going on between her sister and Brandon. Did they cross the line?
Liam was her friend, just like his roommate Brandon and she never thought that this line between friend and something more would get crossed by either of them. Looking from the side at the group of friends Liam and Liv were the ones with crazy ideas, often tagging along more careful and calm duo of Sabrina and Brandon.
For most of the times she rolled eyes at any advices either of the men gave her but the tone of Liam’s voice was warning and for a moment she was quiet, gathering the thought she didn’t know she had. They knew each other pretty well, saw themselves in all kinds of different situation – not only those happy and fun but also this most heartbreaking. He saw her thrown herself into work after her last relationship, he saw how she broke herself down with work. She knew her probably as good as her own sister knew her, as good as she allowed people around her to know her.
‘Perilous path’ was his own words and she had to agree with that. It was dangerous for their friendship, they could got burned but there was also this little voice nagging her ‘but what if they wouldn’t get burned?’ What if the foundations of their friendship was enough to start something different, something she was scared to name as all of her previous ‘episodes’ ended in flame.
Was she really ready to take the risk? And even if she was ready would he be ready to this as well? And what if it ended in flames?
She was glad when he spoke again, his voice anchored her in the world outside her own head. Another eye roll and laugh escaped her lips. Liv took a few steps forward and turned to face hi. She walked backwards like she often did when she was in company of Liam and Brandon.. “Oh believe me I’m sure I have better imagination than you.” She grinned cheekily. “But you can always prove me wrong.” She challenged him without any shame.
Liam shrugged. “I know it ‘s a terrible thing to say, but,” he trailed off, running a hand through his short hair. “We’re friends, and you’re family. We’re sort of,” he fished for the right word to describe it. “Expected to always be there. It’s easier to take us for granted.” He tried to explain. Liam came from a privileged background, so, he had been born in the world Sabrina was attempting to enter. He spent his childhood running through the skirts of snobbish bitches who pretended not to mind in order not to upset his mother. It was a world made out of fake people and false pleasantries to maintain appearances. Liam could understand the appeal, though he had tried to speak to Bri about how much she was sacrificing to be a part of something that wouldn’t be worth the effort, Bri was way too stubborn, so, he was aware she would have to come to that conclusion on her own. “Don’t give up on her. One day she’ll come to her senses and realize what she’d been missing. Meanwhile, you got us!” He smiled.
Liam knew he couldn’t have been more thankful for the set of friends he had made. Unlike the people he had met in school, what they had going on was never about possessions or who had the most money. In the beginning, Liam even hid the information from them, fearing they would treat him differently for it. It all came out when his mother first came to visit him. He spent most of the time she was there worrying about the possible outcome of it, and when they just teased him about being, in Bri’s words “posh”, he was convinced they were a group of keepers.
They walked side by side on the sidewalk. It was that strange hour in the evening when it was neither early nor late, and bypassers had either called the night and were heading home, or were just about to enter a party. He eyed Liv curiously, wondering what made her go silent all of a sudden. She wasn’t the kind of person who often did that. “You’re either giving what I just say some serious considering, or you just came up with some brilliant concept for a game. Which one is it?” He inquired. Part of him hoped it was the latter because if it was the first, it might mean opening a door to something entirely unexpected.
Out of one thing, Liam was positive, if anything happened, there would be consequences. Whether the outcome would come for the best or not, he didn’t know, but it could destroy everything they had ever known.
He saw her move to the front, and by the lopsided smile she displayed, Liam could recognize that she was up to something, almost as if he could see the gears turning inside of her brain. “Creative? Maybe not.” He shook his head. “But I know how to make something juicy,” Liam wiggled his eyebrows, allowing her to interpret the sentence however she might.

Bri: Bran, do you know where Liam is?
Liam ✉️ Brandon
Brandon: I'm not giving up on the idea, just looking at new apartment in a case we would have to move out quickly.
Liam: And surreptitiously in the middle of the night. Have you considered another State? Cause we might need it to be somewhere else...
Liam ✉️ Brandon
Brandon: least damage? it means not doing the flyers.
Brandon: and we both know idea is too great not to do it.
Liam: Keep up, the least damage for us. I still think the flyers are an awesome idea!
Liam: So, we don't have to give up on it yet!

Brandon: I'm talking about Liv too. Why would she prefer you?
Brandon: But witch is a perfect choice?
Liam: I have my reasons to believe she would choose me over you.
Liam: There might not be a 'perfect' choice. So, we should just go with the one that causes least damage. To us, I mean.
Liam ✉️ Brandon
Brandon: Convince her?
Brandon: There is bigger chance she will believe me.
Brandon: maybe we could use this witch from 1st floor? She hates our gut...
Liam: I'm talking about Liv, not Bri. If it were Bri, you might have an upper hand there.
Liam: Lol. Let's bring someone else into our evil plot, shall we? xP
Liam ✉️ Brandon
Brandon: I don't kiss and tell.
Brandon: We run faster than her, we are safe.
Brandon: But if we leave her, she will come from the dead and will kill us.
Brandon: And we will have both of them on our backs.
Liam: So, should I assume there have been kisses?
Liam: I think I can convince her it was your fault and be safe from her wrath...
Liam: Honestly, we need to figure out a way to get rid of the blame.
Liam ✉️ Brandon
Brandon: You don't know about a lot of stuff dear friend of mine.
Brandon: to watch or to run away in time so she wouldn't kill us.
Liam: Which is why you should tell me! Ain't that what friends are for?
Liam: I think we just need to run faster than Liv.

Eyebrow raised at his comment. Situation was getting more interesting with every passing minute. Patiently waiting for his move after his comment. The way his lips brushed against hers was something new. His hand on her neck left a warm tingling sensation on her pale skin. Liv wasn’t sure what made the butterflies in her stomach come to live, after all it was Liam. The guy with who she spent more nights than she liked to admit, the one with who she laughed and make most of the pranks of the rest of their ‘team’. Feeling his lips fully on hers surprised her but she wasn’t prepared for the feeling of his tongue against her lower lip. Without second thought she opened her mouth and their tongues danced for a moment before they parted.
She could feel her cheeks growing red. Not fully sure if it was because of the kiss or the amount of vodka she poured into herself.
The moment broken with his another comments. She rolled eyes at him. “I know…” she sighed. “But I’ve declined so many times that I couldn’t do it more and again I can declined most of the invitations again.” Another sigh escaped her lips. “They are not bad but their idea of fun is different from mine. For sure they can’t hold their alcohol. Sipping this same drink for over an hour, it’s not my kind of drinking. Even Bri drink faster.” She chuckled. “Especially wine.” Her grin widen.
“And seriously don’t be so smug. Being cocky is annoying blondie.” She winked at him. “How many women told you are a catch.” She leaned moved closer to him but leaned against her hand on the bar counter. “Beside don’t believe in everything people say. I tell you a secret. People lie.” She chuckled and on impulse kissed him quickly on the lips.
Taking a bottle from him, she inspected the label. She could feel eyes of her co-workers on her back. For sure she gave them something to talk about and she could expect questions after weekend. Leaving a bar was a smart move, she would have more fun with Liam and if they were lucky Brandon and Bri would join their party.
“Have you seen their faces when we left?” she asked laughing and bumping into Liam. “I owe you so big and can’t believe she chose you from all the guys in the bar. It’s some fucking destiny.” She took a deep breath enjoying the cold air. “Are you up for games and drinks? We haven’t finished Lego Avengers.”
Considering his proximity to both sisters, the thought of kissing either of them had never crossed Liam’s mind. He assumed it was something that would feel weird, like kissing his sister, which was a thought that made him shudder. But once he let go and allowed himself to go with the flow, Liam found that kissing Liv wasn’t as awkward as he believed it would be.
Liam knew her. They spent enough time together for him to be aware of how she felt against him, but this was different. Maybe cause he had never seen her that way before. Her skin was smooth and warm underneath his palm, and she tasted of something fruity that he guessed was in the cocktail she had been drinking. It was an unexpected change to the dynamic they often shared, yet not an unwelcome one. As their tongues swirled in synchrony, exploring the other’s mouths, it woke something within Liam. It was like playing with fire, and he knew he had to stop before either of them got burned.
“I guess this is the kind of lesson you can learn from Sabrina: how to say no to your friends millions of times without feeling bad about it.” He pointed out with a soft chuckle. “But, coming to think about it, she might actually go out with the people from her company. She probably just stands the three of us up.” Liam’s broad shoulders went up and down with a shrug. It wasn’t as if he had all that many friends around his work environment that he could avoid invitations anyway.
“I understand it’s something unbecoming. On you. I can pull it off.” He said with a smirk that tugged at his lips. He was obviously joking about it. At Liv’s next set of words, Liam merely rolled his eyes. “You sure know how to make people feel good about themselves, don’t you?!” He snorted. He wasn’t going to be the kind of person to say that what she did next hadn’t taken him by surprise. “Liv,” he gazed deep into her eyes. “We’re going down a perilous path here,” Liam announced. “One from which there might be no return.” There was a warning note in his tone, one he was sure even he was willing to overlook.
He shook his head at her question. “I can’t say I had been looking their way. But I would say you could expect all sorts of inquiries from them on Monday.” Liam mentioned. “Good luck appeasing their curiosity.” He encouraged. “Now, should I trust you to come up with nice details, or should I just feed some of those to you?” He wondered.
anatomyofher:
“It’s also annoying when you are repeating yourself. It’s like your mantra.” He shrugged. He understood she was ambitious, he was ambitious himself too but the way she handled everything. He didn’t get it. There were people who got better lives than him, with parents who could afford everything and Brandon wasn’t one of them. His mom and sister died when he was little and father drown himself in alcohol. Of course there were kids who had worse than him, beaten up or starving. He always had a roof above his head and food in the fridge but he was alone. His father worked and drunk until Brandon found him at the of 17 dead in their kitchen. He was forced to work and soon found the passion in the gym. Years later he found in his friends a family he lost.
“You are over stressing yourself.” He sighed. “Working too much won’t help you, you will just shut at some point and it won’t do anything good to your health and career.” Another shrug was visible.
“You are always taking care of all of us, most of the time you act like a mother not a friend.” He rolled eyes jokingly but behind his teasing tone was a truth. “Who is taking care of you when you are not listening to any of us?” he asked rising eyebrow. “Do I have to call your mama? You know this woman loves me beside it’s weekend and you need to loosen up.” He said sternly.
“We don’t have to go anywhere we can meet on our couch or yours with some wine and whisky and vodka for Liv. Still can’t believe she is drinking vodka like a water.” He said with a frown before continuing.
“I can even offer to cook.” One of the perks of being left all to himself he learnt how to cook and with passing years he got better at it.
“You know us all well enough it’s not a pity party, we are concerned about you.” He sighed as the elevator door opened and they reached the apartment of the sisters. “I’m not taking a no for answer so be prepared for the night. Beside I’m curious when this roommate of mine ends in your sister bedroom. Have you seen them lately? They look a little bit closer than before.” He grinned wickedly.
“Bran, you do know that this conversation will go in circles, right? I think that in exactly three replies we’ll be right back at the comment that initiated this whole thing.” Bri predicted. “So, I think we should just agree to disagree and move on.” Sabrina proposed. She knew that her friends and her sister were severely opposed by her work rhythm, but Bri would always argue that she was doing what she had to do to get to the top of her career. Growing up, her mother was always telling her she wasn’t good enough, and if she wasn’t going to do her best, if she weren’t striving to be at the top, there was no point in even trying. Unfortunately, those words stuck with her.
Sabrina spared Brando a sideways glance. “I don’t have time to worry about something like it,” she said with a shake of her head. “Not right now.” She sighed. Her health had been relegated to the second plan for quite a while now. There was always something more important that required her attention.
“That is because someone has to act like the responsible adult among us,” Sabrina justified and cringed at the possibility of Brandon calling her mother. The woman really did love him, often referring to him as the son she’d never had, and she was always fantasizing about the possibility of either her or Olivia turning him into a member of the family, which was often followed by her mom reassuring them she’d marry him herself if she weren’t already married. “Brandon, don’t do that!” She begged him.
Sabrina listened to him. “I’m not entirely sure they’ll be in for it,” she let her sentence trail off. “It does seem like they’re up to something. I don’t know what they’re hiding, and, most importantly, I don’t know what it is that they might find the need to hide,” Bri was shaking her head, wondering what their juvenile behavior was all about until something horrible crossed her mind. Sabrina’s eyes widened, and her lips were shaped in a perfect circle. “Bran, do you think they’ve done something illegal, and that’s why they’re being so sneaky?” She shared her preoccupations with him.
“Can’t you just cook for me and we’ll call it the night?” Bri requested, a small pout appearing on her mouth.
Liam ✉️ Brandon
Brandon: she admits more than you know :>
Brandon: pissed, livid, furious.
Brandon: still it's worth to do.
Liam: Oh, anything interesting I should know about?
Liam: Sooo, you're basically telling me it would be fun to watch?
Liam: Hell yeah!
