Rally’s Prologue: Fix

Rally could solve any problem by making something with her hands. There were too many zombies approaching, so she and Luca created a barbed fence. Not enough food? Simple, she helped create a manageable irrigation system so that they could farm. But there was one thing that not even her inquisitive mind could fix. Luca’s distance. They were best friends. She was the only one who understood the way his mind worked, and they crafted so many traps together. 

But, he was distant even then. She could not fix the problem of his cloudy eyes and ever present frown. Until now. She was determined to do it, because if she couldn’t that meant he was going to do something stupid and probably never walk back into their small little home again. That day, as Luca reached for the door knob she jumped from her seat like a tiger and pounced on him. Oh no, he wasn’t leaving until he smiled.

“Rally? Get off of me,” He mumbled, irritated. 

She threw her arms around his back and snuggled him like a stuffed bear. “No, I don’t think I will.”

“I need to go,” He said harshly. “I have to repair our defenses and…” But she only hugged him tighter. “Rally I said!”

“And I said no!” She cut him off angrily. It was go time. She placed a kiss on the back of his neck, much to his surprise.

“You just…” He couldn’t find the right words to say. “Did you just…?”

“Is that how you react to a cute girl kissing you?” She demanded. She left him no room to answer. “Just say you liked it, smile at me and you can go.”

Luca began to chuckle. “Okay then, I liked it.”

Shari has worked hard to become a hacker, to be one of the best. It was a skill that was discovered through a combination of boredom and needing something done that no one else around her possessed the skill to do. From there, her interested in hacking escalated into a real interest and talent. Despite her pride in her ability, Shari takes even greater pride in being the kind of person that no one would expect to know how to hack. Growing up, she was the typical rich white girl, her interests more surrounding fashion and trends than anything. As she got older, her interest in fashion faded away, but she kept up the pretense of it so that people around her would keep thinking she’s just a shallow rich girl.

Name: Rally Malcolm Nickname: Junkyard Dog, or simply Dog Personality: As a child, Rally was very outgoing, curious about almost anything, even zombies -- but cautiously curious, she was not stupid enough to try to get too close to a zombie just because she wanted to know if they were wearing any nametags or uniforms or something. After the death of her parents, she was left all alone to fend for herself, so her curiosity more or less gave way to cautiousness, almost disappearing completely. Rally’s extremely resourceful, able to make just about anything from just about nothing. Her family’s farm has a section of land that was known as the junkyard, where seemingly useless things were dumped, and where Rally would always scavenge for supplies to make anything she thought of. How do they feel about zombies? Rally isn’t really afraid of them, but she is cautious of them, knowing how dangerous they are. Mostly, she’s just curious about them, about the lives they had before they were zombies. But she won’t hesitate to kill one if one attacks her or someone she cares about. Separation From Parents: Rally’s parents are both dead. Her mother died giving birth, and her father died in a fire set in their farm’s barn while he was trying to get all the horses were out. He managed to send all of the horses out, but was trapped inside and burned before he could get out himself. Any Living Relatives? None that Rally knows of. Her whole family has lived on the family farm for more generations than anyone can remember, so between the fire and the zombies, they were all killed over time.

Created for Halloween, 2017

Samhain’s a witch, named after the holy day that the more commonly Halloween originated from. When the veil between the human world and the spirit world is at its thinnest, Samhain’s magic is at it’s strongest. For that one night, she can draw ghosts from their world and revive the dead, safely, for a few hours to let them see the ones they left behind again, or to simply see what new has happened in the world.

Lunar Eclipse has spent thousands of years racing through the sky, watching the people below with interest, watching the world evolve below her. Recently, she’s been granted the gift of a mortal body, so that she can walk the earth herself and experience its wonders up close.
